Strange narrow minded to call Eliot to single greatest poet in Europe because he wrote in english-Fernando Pessoa is a so much finer more interesting poet.
You know it's crazy how accents can change dramatically over the course of a lifetime. I had a professor while I was at Oxford who you'd never think was American, but she had been living in England for 25 years and sure enough, she was a 'yank'. I've been a Eliot fan since I was a teenager and have read that he was self-conscious about his southern accent (St. Louis), but you'd never know from this. This is the first time I've heard his voice, and I was surprised.
4:32 Les poète maudit. Oh my god those tortured souls, how did they live? They only had a castle, group of friends, money, fame, power, food, choice, their poetry speaks through the ages.
there is so much dross getting published as novels today, u would get someone descibing the look in someones eyes as just "piecing" or "seeing all within the beholder's soul" etc but to say like seeing the queen mary coming into dock is how it should be done
ive come to the conclusion that im a selfish being, as i am unable to fathom why kind hearted people go to the bother of sharing such vids they have on their shelves at home to share with utube, maybe i should reevaluate my life, but thx 4 postin ,much in ur debt
@bryngOneOn its all about giving to the community - it pays well, not in money, but in something you would spend (all) your money on if you could, that is, feeing like a good person.

No need for a Bob Dylan song here. If this was an Allen Ginsberg documentary yes, but not for Eliot. Awful idea.

Thank you so much for uploading this. I once visited Eliot's resting place in East Coker and it was one of the most moving experiences of my life.

@bryngOneOn Don't be too harsh on yourself; it's never too late to start sharing with others, that is the beauty of Internet :)
