The Niners defense is the perfect definition of bend but don't break. Yes, opposing QB's typically pass for a decent amount of yards in between the 20's but San Francisco clamps down in the redzone or when the other offense is backed up thanks to Andy Lee. San Francisco's D is not overrated. They may not have the secondary that the 2000 Ravens had, but their front 7 is incredible and therefore Goldson, Whitner or Carlos Rodgers just have to be oppotunistic. And they are.
