Bad choice on my part using the word disgusting and making reference to eating it with the shell. Since that comment I have learnt that prawns soon after moulting have a soft edible shell, able to be eaten. See, you live and learn;)

BUT, as for eating it live, primitive. Can someone explain the reason? Is it a belief that a live creature empowers some part of your anatomy?

I'm all for culture experiences etc but what's the purpose of this? It's not like the prawn is pickled and has a soft shell. Wouldn't it be disgusting. It's bad enough Shen you leave a bit of shell in a peeled prawn let alone with this method. I realise a fresh prawn has a softer shell but I looks awful.
