Obviously, the dislikers have never had kittens and stairs at the same time. Kittens are clumsy as hell! When my cats were this kitten's size, they'd fall down the porch stairs all the time! Not to mention falling off the bed when they'd try to climb up it! And they're perfectly fine and healthy now. :)

It isn't anyone's fault. The kitten would either be confined to a small space, or allowed to run around and play, with the occasional tumble. I'm pretty sure it prefers the latter.
