That's quite scary at times, but games like this are quite predictable. if you hear Ugly violin screams, look up, look behind you, if you hear a scream, don't open certain doors, real basic stuff.

we need a new game, one hit deaths, no weapons but maybe something to stop the enemy's with for a few secs, (Its HORROR SURVIVAL, YOUR SUPPOSED TO RUN.) that's my personally opinion.

I only played the demo but that game hits the spot. You have no weapons, low health etcetera, I really didn't want to play anymore. And it's indie so no gimmick.

There were tons of times when I heard whispers, sounds, stuff falling/rolling, lights fading and a violin crescendo like a buzz and nothing happened

And in other situations Id turn around and have a Slasher or Puker or worse a Leaper in my face

The last game I remember where it was like that (besides for amnesia) was alone in the dark and the original resident evil. @CaptainMaloy1001 I actually enjoyed Amnesia quite a bit. There's a mod that you can install that has the monsters kill you in one hit (instead of three, I think.) There's also another mod that makes it so you revert back to a certain point, making you lose items. You can change how you want it, though. It can either kill you and you have to start over. The thing about Amnesia, was that when you died, there was no penalty.

in Amnesia you can also throw chairs at enemies to make them stumble.

this is probably how all the people aboard the Ishimura died, even if they had a plasma cutter or not, the nerves and the situation just freezes you up, 3 of em surround you and kill you, i doubt that a lone engineer with no battle/ close combat experience would actually survive a ship with 1,000 of those on board. in shorter terms, this and impossible mode is as close as it will get to what fighting a necromorph in real life would be like.
