  • huuuuuuu!!nice and sweet voice!!!^^i love it ^^

  • Though this is a McCartney song, Alison ownes it. I dare anyone to do a better job than this!

  • Sounds like "I Will" by the Munchkins!

  • I love the beatles version but this one is good too

  • I think she took your advice she is now a stuning blond. I think she was pretty young here but not positive.

  • Nice song, but for all the Love I feel AK, she really needs to stay away from that hairdo and burn the outfit..

  • @bravo723

This was decades ago (at least over 10 years).

  • nascarbolly dont slag ringo off what do you know your american

  • @noodles1573 Yes I am an American and I couldn't be more proud to be an American because here in America, the singers here appreciate those who keep their billfolds from getting bone dry.

God bless you and Alison always!!!

P.S. By the way, I'd like to thank you for letting me know that I have not missed all that much by never going outside of America.

  • Like the birds like the rain, like a great song likes a great rhyme, like a pilot like clear weather, I clearly love your rendition of my second favorite Beatles song.

  • Her voice is the best

  • their version is just as good as the beatles version and in my opinion, more enjoyable. yeah i said it. now all the rock n roll snobs can get pissed.

  • her voice definitely fits this kind of song. She's done justice to this song!!! though she never played the instrument she was holding.

  • the beatles are better at this song.

  • A Beatle song is just eternal...and Alison does this one a great service with her beautiful voice

  • I love the original version by The Beatles and the more recent version by Paul McCartney, but after listening to the live version by Alison Krauss, I think that she deserves the royalty checks for that song.

Ms.Krauss has such an angelic voice.

  • @MrPJ1954 Amen to that! I never get tired of listening to Alison here! To me, what goes to Ringo for this song should be what goes to Alison at least because that man doesn't deserve the money anymore ever since he said a few years ago that he didn't have time to look at what his fans write to him. Someone needs to tell him that his fans are who have kept him going all of this time! (shaking my head)

God bless you and Alison always!!!

  • Though the hair really sucks, man, the voice is exactly the opposite :D

  • Good lord, what year was this? Their haircuts are ridiccccculous.

  • SCREW MY PREVIOUS COMMENT!!! i take back what i said i just listened to the BEATLES version and ...^^ THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS SONGS!!

  • i didn't know that this was revived !! when i listened to the original i quickly turned back to alison krauss' version ^^...many thanks to Anestice..

  • Just perfect, just Heavenly

  • Her beauty shines through that poodle cut. Heaven sent us an angelic band geek. Thank God she made it so we could all see her in our lifetime.

  • i totally agree w/u dizzy3a regarding the overhype of the beatles. am not a fan, and appreciate that Alison could salvage this tune with her extraordinary instrument.

  • The beatles were highly over-rated and exaggerated musicians. Their claim to fame was their culture war. Harrison was their best singer. Their song writing strength was in the tune of the song (early on) with catchy phrases. But the songs were not well written. So Allison Krause version here is amazing because she can sing. A great singer can make badly written song good. That is what she has done with this song.

  • @dizzy3a You could not be more deluded. You could try but you would not be successful. The Beatles were the most phenomenal musicians of the 20th century and amongst the greatest of all time. I suggest you listen to Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt Pepper then even attempt to claim the Beatles are 'over-rated' and 'exaggerated'.

  • @dizzy3a well george was my fav too. however i have been getting a lot of shit on the beatles site because i said she did it better. who cares about her hair? that was 25 years ago when big hair was in style. she has a updated version. yes allison krauss did I WILL better than the beatles.i think she had the grammy awards to prove it.

  • @dizzy3a I guess well over 200 songs, most of them being memorable hits still played today, plus a 70 year old McCartney selling out 100,000+ seat arenas means nobody cares what you think. Overrated and exaggerated LOL I think you mean the most beloved and influential musicians of the past 50 years.

  • @dizzy3a Just what are you angry about?

  • sorry i dont like it im not knocking alison krauss but its not as good as the beatles my opinion so dont jump on me

  • @marycockburn1 Who says that it's competition and that we are voting on the best version? Why can't you just listen to and enjoy a song without comparing it to another version?

  • good i like her voice

  • melodious

  • The voice of an angel doing one of my favourite Beatle songs. Thank you Anestice for the posting.

  • @OakPark11MileRd Wait, are you stupid?

  • its not," 'and' the things you do endear you to me", its, "for ' the things you do endear you to me", damit, if youre going to do such a beautiful song as this, at least get the damn words right..sheesh...otherwise, not bad..

  • @jillzi7 seriously....because she said "and" and not "for," you're flipping out? that's...special.

  • ok, im in love

  • @OakPark11MileRd I see you don't know music....

  • BEAUTIFUL*BEAUTIFUL*BEAUTIFUL

  • Like Like Like !!!!!

  • she sang the song without effort

  • hmmm,,, relaxing..

  • its a beautiful and an inspirational song i really like dis awesome

  • Very beautiful version of this Beatles classic

  • I like it but, it can't be live.

  • @sarabareilleslover1 you can hear her breathing, and the instrumentation is different from the album version.. it's live

  • @nukacolatruck maybe she should stop breathing during the performance and pass out from cardiac arrest. just face it--allison krauss is in the top 5 women of all singers of are time. she is the only singer who never has to be on autotune and never sound pitchy. what a great rendition of a old beatles song

  • i love paul.

  • superb voice love this

  • love this song...sooper!

  • Wonderful, but I wish she would have done more with her fiddle than just clutch it. I love to listen to her play. This song sort of screamed out for a fiddle solo in the middle.

  • way to go girl...you are a gift to all us from God.

  • Simple perfection.

  • awesome!!

  • I love this song ;)) "And when at last I find you

Your song will fill the air

Sing it loud so I can hear you

Make it easy to be near you"

    So sweet and romantic!

  • perfect,, the best among the rest,, her voicie is so angelic....

  • i love her angelic voice...

  • I saw her quite a few times back around that time, she was fantastic. She can belt a blues too, which few people realize. I liked her back then much more before she became a pop star.

  • This instantly became one of my fave Beatles covers ever.

Thank you for posting. Alison is wonderful.

  • 3 ppl won't will

  • Sweet Allison was still carrying some baby fat in this one :) ... seems she was destined to sing with Robert Plant even back then.... as she had his hair style!

    Love you Allison!

  • Sheerfolly I agree its a brill album and much prefer her version of "When you say nothing at all" she's just as good live.

  • beautiful <333333333

  • I've been in love with the most amazing man for 33 years. I was not allowed to date this remarkable man when I was in high school. (father was a very prejudice man) :-(

Although we have lead separate lives, married with children, we have found each other again!! We will always be best friends. Love truly endures!!!! Maybe someday . . . Love you baby!!!!!

  • I don't like covers at all, nothing like the original. However, I like this, good job.

  • jamila fever,,,,,,,,,

  • i almost take off my underwear shes freakin awesome

  • This song has been done by so many, but this is the most beautiful one I know of. I could listen to this a million times.....

  • good song by a good singer. a refreshing voice.......like it

  • Does anyone know what year this was?

  • Mark O'Conner on mandolin

  • This is the closest recording I've heard to hearing her in person..How her voice can go from soft to powerful and never lose it;s sweetness

  • All I can say is, that mandolin player's got a big f'n head if his hat sits that high up when he wears it. LOL

  • her hair is much better now. haha

  • Vaya forma de cargarse una canción, que tenga buena voz no da permiso para tener mal gusto, esta es la Sole de Presuntos pero a la americana, ... penoso

  • You ever get the feeling someone was born to sing a song? It's like that to me when Alison sings this. I know it's really a Beatles song, but she just does it so perfectly.

  • omg how long has she been doing this

  • art garfunkel sings this song aswell this version is great

  • Bravo! ALISON says it oh so well.

  • ..i love you alison krauss!!!..great,!great.!great.!

  • I love this song....I like to listen to it any chance I get. Thanks for posting. :))

  • relaxing

  • Credit should go to Tony Furtado, it was his banjo instrumental of the song that Alison added a vocal to, the way she sings it here. The version with Tony is absolutely wonderful.

  • I WILL.....

  • She has the voice of an angel...so pure and innocent sounding....and for her to cover one of my favorite Beatles songs...just awesome.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this, I love to hear Alison sing this song and she sounds so perfect here! (smiles)

God bless you and her always!!!

Holly in East Tennessee (a fan of her since 1994)
