If those producers had been more understanding, "Scent of Roses" would have been the series finale, KR 2000 would have been a better movie or scrapped altogether if not, and the KR saga would have ended in decent shape. Too bad they had to screw everything up like this!
Most people wish "Scent of Roses" had actually been the final episode- but I do not see how it could have been by the way they ended it since Michael Knight goes over to K.I.T.T. saying they are returning home to the Knight Foundation.
The best chapter ever on the series, in my opinion. And I must admit that when I saw it for the first time, just as a little child, I couldn´t help but sobbing when the man in the gun killed Michael Knight´s bride during the wedding... Impacting. Almost like a movie. Besides, this series had unforgettable characters in comparison with the latest remake they made; piece of crap to my view. KITT (the old one), for instance, was a unique computer in a unique car frame, with sense of humour and all.
@jmjfanss Thank you very much. I never knew for sure the title this episode, nor what season does it belong to, but I don´t think it was "White Bird", anyway. That was precisely the title on a previous chapter in which M. Knight meets this girl from his age as a police officer, and with whom he was about to marry before been shot and almost killed and taken by the organization he worked for ever since... Do you know the real title this episode, please?
@jmjfanss One feature on KITT (the old one, of course) that made him so "original and humane" to me was his dislike for dogs (understandably X), flying and pretty girls on bikini sitting on him (incomprehensible! XD) Besides, while the Ford Mustang (the one used for the latest movie, I think) is so boringly well-known, this Pontiac TransAm has always been so original. These days are playing the series on TV again in my country, so I hope to find out the title of this chapter, which I never new.
@AlanMartinNala The episode is called "Scent of Roses" which is featured in mid-Season 4. David Hasselhoff wanted it to be the series finale- but the producers went against his wishes. You can buy the entire series on DVD and have all of the episodes to watch instead of having to worry about it coming on TV.

After the disappointing KR 2000, it all gone downhill from here from KR 2000 to KR 2008.
