@kevinmeehan71 This video is from two years ago, so how you can judge my bodhran playing from this is beyond me. I don't like replying to these idiotic comments, but this one annoyed me a lot. If I was such a sloppy bodhran player, how have I won 4 All Britain titles on the instrument? I know that I'm not world class, im not stupid. But I'm not going to take criticism off someone who probably isn't John Joe Kelly standard himself.

Hi, It's a Christian Hedwitschak MHTF Bodhran. It's the skin he makes called dragonskin which makes it sound good. Unfortunately, the one you see in this video is currently which Christian as a put a whole through it at our last gig :)

Quite good ability, but they appear to need a purpose in life ! It wasn't an easy gig ! and they needed a set of at least two tunes or the rythm just becomes meaningless, and I could see this destroying any remaining inspiration !

You need Inspiration to get music !

Fine playing. Pay no heed to people who say .."don't get me wrong, move more whem you play" or " sounded like the fiddle was out of tune". In my experience, these people are sometimes a little jealous or what others do that they can't do themselves.

Keep going and your enjoyment comes across in your playing - you don't need to prance round the stage like complete eejits!

It was hot on stage, it was well in tune beforehand. Have tightened the screw on the tuners, that may help.

With Niamh living in Lancashire, this is difficult. It would need to be for a largish Festival to justify the travel at the minute. The furthest South we are venturing so far is to Bideford Festival on 14-15 Aug 09.
