6/24/08 Luis Colon, 18, was running from plainclothes police officers when he was shot and killed by a Chicago police tactical officer at 5:00 p.m. in the 2700 block of North Kilbourn Ave., in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood. The officers were on a "gang-suppression mission" and had stopped Colon for a routine interview. Colon, known as "Busy," was walking with his girlfriend to Kelvyn Park to meet friends to eat out. Colon was shot in the back and collapsed in the middle of Kilbourn Ave.

8/23/08 7:45 pm Martinez Winford, 16, was shot to death by police in the 600 block of East 89th St. Winford was a student at Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights. Police said they found a gun nearby, but according to those who knew him Winford was not known to carry a weapon. According to his cousin Frederick Arnold"...we all make mistakes, and he didn't deserve for the Chicago police to take his life... he was just a regular kid."

In a 11/6/08 deposition an off-duty Chicago police officer admitted he was drinking before he became involved in a car chase. He shot 11 of 16 shots that killed Emmanuel Lopez, 23. The shots hit Lopez in the back and head. Lopez was driving to his shift at a factory when police initiated pursuit after alledgedly seeing Lopez driving erratically on Kedzie. Forensics uncovered that a gun wound came from a downward angle contrary to the police report. 5 officers were involved in the shooting.

The police ran up behind Jonathan Pinkerton, 16,in the 13000 block of Drexel and shot him in the back, Wednesday, June 11th 2008. He lies partially paralyzed with a gunshot wound to the back at Christ Hospital. Multiple complaints have been reported about the alleged police officer from District 5 who fired the shot.Jonathan was a star student in Corliss High School & was never in trouble with the law. "My baby is paralyzed. Where is the justice in that?" said his mother Sharon Burton.

3/19/08ChicagoPolice killed Roberto Gonzalez,37,in the 2600 block of S.Trumbull Ave. Gonzalez was standing near LomaLindaBar & saw plainclothes police officers circling the block. Garza, Gonzales cousin was picked up by police and from the back of a police vehicle saw police shock Gonzalez with Taser while Gonzalez was on the ground,"wiggling" away from police. Jan.13,2008 Man Shot By Cop Not Charged. Jeremy Williams was in a parked car and was shot in the head by a cop (one of 3 from the Harrison Area gang team).Police fired "five or six shots." Prosecutors will not press charges balking at insufficient evidence that the officers faced a deadly threat. "There was no gun recovered or shots fired [by Williams or Manning who was driving&wounded]." One cop reported he had not seen a gun. Two cops could not say which of the men had the supposed gun.

On 11/8/07 a Harvey police officer fatally shot a teenage boy, Roque Dominguez, 17, in the back at 158th Street and Emerald Avenue about 7 p.m. He was born at Ingall's Memorial Hospital. The teen wanted to join the military when he graduated from Thorton Township High School.
