  • That one kid hit everysingle one haha

  • 15.23? i ran a 14.00 in varsity last year when i was a freshman... man i wish i went to your school

  • MY GOD!!!! THAT WAS EMBARRASING UGH!!! LAZY ASSES

  • ohhhh, my. you guys are terrible.

  • nice camera

  • If there ONLY running 15.23... I wonder how bad their District is loll!!

  • Is this the 110m hurdles or the 100m hurdles? Because that seems more like 100m meters, which we run in england at U17. Also what height are the hurdles?

  • @JVallista it is 110m hurdles and it is 39 inches

  • 15.28 ? THATS the winning time in the state ?

  • this meet is in BYU. which is in utah for eveybody with questions about it.

  • california does it better :D Fuck you haters

  • wow those guys got some pretty shitty form, there all siting way back on there heels when they should be leaning way over when going over the hurdles

  • where the hell is this highschool at??? i need to transfer! thats not fair! lol good job anywayz!

  • i'm 53 now but back in high school(N.J.) i ran the 120 yd H.H. in a best of 14.8 that was 1975, not bad for 35 yrs ago, the world record back then was 13.2 by Rod Milburn. watching this brought back good memories and considering the times it made my day.

  • they like banging those hurdles...

  • I run a 15.41 as a 7th grader.

  • My cousins live in kansas. Both of em are top 3 hurdlers in highschool.

  • 15.23 will get you about 8th place here, winning time is around 13.4 in Kansas.

  • @DoggieBark that's absolute bullshit, no one run's a 13.4 in highschool

there are a few exceptions, but frankly, I don't believe you

  • @ilikebears77 Okay, so I was expecting the 6A winner to run a 13.4 in State this year, his best time ever was a 13.75 or something like that, Andrew Etheridge Northwest Wichita High School, but he only ran like a 14.2 or something in the final, pretty bad estimation on my part, but you're right it was a bit of a bull shit remark. My bad, but the other races are around the mid-14s.

  • @ilikebears77 then obviously youve never scene the results of the state meet in california

  • Damn I wanna go to that state meet ha i run right around that time and I'm like 8th in our region and top 4 move on haha

  • @snappy8806

everyone in flodia is fast because of the seminol indians and the black slaves that ran there (not racist) im just saying everyone fast is in Flordia, California, and TEXASS!!!!!

  • I could run a 15.23 in my sleep, if was doing this for state in colorado i would havew to run a 13.9 or maybe even lower

  • i run 15.1 as a sophmore

  • we have a girl from our area that graduated in 2006 but in around the 7th grade hade a time of 17.68 something and during her feshman - senior year she made it to state and won the divinson 3 girls with a time of 14.93

  • sexy

  • dude for real that cant be a state meet here in texas i missed goin to state and i ran a 14.2 at region so yeah thats some buul shit fer real

    and im white lol

  • Whatever division or section they are in its not good

  • 15.01 freshman year?

    Don't believe it

a good freshman time is like anywhere in the 16's

  • how the heck did you guys make it to state finals..?? those are JV times here in Southern California.

  • yeah i know right? that would get out of our district in texas

  • Comment removed

  • so gay, i ran a 15.01 freshman year. california and texas..... two states that u have to be exceptional to win

  • i really hate how people take so long to get on their marks...all that jumping stuff is unnecessary. i do that before he says it so it goes faster and not waste any time

  • damn in nys da slowest time at da state meet wuz a 14.6, n dat wuz me, i wish i went here

  • ya thats pretty slow(no offence meant, you won states) but its 15.2 to qualify for states in PA and the winners run 13.9 to 14.0

  • unofficial 15.2 state final. in illinios its 15.2 just to qualify for state

  • thats incredibly slow for a state race

  • very slow. i barely made it to regionals in ohio with a 14.8

  • Yea even in Ontario you only make it to provincials with a sub 15

  • hey nice form what state are you from

  • Im from Illinois and these guys wouldnt even make all-conference here.

  • My son ran a 14.95 and didn't get past the first round in the CIF in Califorinia. Not bad from a kid that use to live in Utah and get picked on because he couldn't ride a bike until later in his youth.

  • your sun did not fucking run a 14.95 in the 110m hurdles bro, just saying thats fucking insane.. no need to lie, our guy got 17.3 and went to state, :)

  • what state are you from cause im jus a sophomore and my best is a 15.8... so where ever youre from hurdles must not be the best event lol

  • yeah no doubt. we have a guy that ran a 14.2 at state, and me and another guy run 15.2 and we didnt go past districts. so yeah mrijfi, i doubt he's lying, and that's not insane in the least bit.

  • what did your 300 hurdlerers run?

  • All u people saying "I would have won that meet" need to stop.. This dude just won the state championship Im sure he didnt post this video for people to say " I can beat you" ...If he needed your help he wouldnt have won state.

  • i would of won that meet..

  • lane one from riverview thats my shcool

  • not to talk shitt butt u guys are slow

we have runners runing 14.09 and he is nt first in colorado state

  • what was the time?

  • how high are the hurdles

  • highest since its the 110 hurdles not the 310 or higher they get lower the longer the distance

  • its not the highest this is high school they go second highest which is 39"

  • dang i'm from indi... u need to be running like 14.8 or better just to get to the prelims at state.. no class system either

  • i would have won that meet my sophmore year

  • okay in arizona its 15 flat to qualify for state although half the damn state doesnt get close to it haha

but seriously dude i ran faster my freshman year compared to this time...not knocking him but damn...thats a slow state title time

  • the guy in the 5th or 6th lane has bad form. he kept knocking over the hurdles hah,

  • this isnt state meet, its a class meet.

  • wow i wish i lived wherever they live i woulda won states haha good job though

  • OMG I CANT BELIEVE HE RAN A 15.23 AND WON STATE... ... IF IM RIGHT ? i wish i ran there.i went to stat in track 2 years ago in florida.and in order to get into state the 4th place person ran(only top 4 from each region move on) a 14.21.i ran a 13.97 in the prelims and won.and ran a 14.01 in the finals and got second.this guy is really LUCKY.

BUT CONGRATS IM NOT HATING... JUST ENVIOUS LOL

  • thats cause flordia is like raw at track and stuff, we(illinois) get beat everytime at nationals in the sprints and hurdles

  • @snappy8806 I'm envious too. I ran a 14.93 in prelims here in California and got 5th place. So I didn't make it out of the prelims.

  • @snappy8806 lmfao for real bro!

  • @snappy8806 in 2007 in NC first ran 13.46, 2nd, 13.69, 3rd, 13.72, 4th 13.76(me), and 5th 13.81, 6th 14.00... Just about everyone would get their butt kicked in this state. I don't envy beating up on people, whats the fun in that. I want to race the best and kick their butt doing it! The best races are the ones where you know the other person is capable of beating you if you make the smallest mistake. Where is your competitive spirit?

  • @snappy8806 ohio state record is 13.26 i believeran by ted ginn jr

  • Did anyone think that this is a division 4 state meet not the main state meet?

  • thers a div 4?

  • they were shitt!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow these american schools are fucking trash. They're fat McDonald asses can't haul them over those hurdles.

  • uh McDonald's is the bomb, and we American's kick butt at everything we do, wish of coarse is what makes us American's thank you:)

  • wow that sucks wish i ran there my average time is a 16 haha and that was my freshmen year

  • Where the hell is this? They would not even qualify for state here in Michigan.

  • yeah tell me about it i think qualifying time here in Illinois is 14.5

  • 15.3 for a state champion? Wow. I wish I had ran there.

  • i no some one who is 15 and can run it in 12.4s

  • You're an idiot.

The world record was just broken in June 08 by a man from Cuba at 12.87seconds. There is no way in hell some kid you know runs it anywhere near 12.4.

  • it was in 80m

  • then it's not the same comparison? why even bother comparing it?

  • 15yr old who can run 12.4?

Is he really 21yrs old and called Dayron Robles cause that makes more sense

  • my friend ran a 13.9

he runs for Oregon now... but that was his High School time.

  • yeah man why cant i live there...

  • Wow... they could've used a sun dial for that one

  • that is reaallllly slow for a state track meet

i got disqualified yesterday so im not going to state in california

    my P.R. is 14.59

and 300 is 38.78 im made it for the 300=)

  • wow thats so slow. I just ran a 14.89 and didnt even make it out of my sectional. Although it was the hardest sectional in indiana. i would have advanced in anyother sectional if not won.

  • i'm from carmel where in indiana r u

  • I am from Nappanee. It is in northern Indiana. I just graduated from Northwood High School. In my sectional were schools like Elkhart Memorial, Elkhart Central.

  • oooo wat class is that carmel is 5A

  • we are 3A but there is no track classifications. So I would race against 4A and 5A schools too. My time was like the 15th fastest in the State but because my sectional was all so fast I didn't move on. Out of 32 sectionals in Indiana I would have came in 1st or second in all of them but in mine I came in 6th. I only started running track my senior year too so it was only my 7th meet.

  • ooo wow good job

  • i know how you feel T_T so cal here

  • i know how you feel T_T so cal here

  • wow thats so slow. I just ran a 14.89 and didnt even make it out of my sectional. Although it was the hardest sectional in indiana. i would have advanced in anyother sectional if not won.

  • thats a pretty slow state if the winner is 15.2...

  • why is it that in every guys 110 m herdal race

I've seen.. a herdal always gets knocked down?

I hardly ever see it with the girls

  • Well, the girls have shorter hurdles...

  • i love how the guy at the end falls to his knees and starts beating the ground. lol

  • @AshtonTGTease

yeah... that was me. I was supposed to do a lot better but as you can see I stumbled over the 4th hurdle after my friend asked me... "what if you trip?" I wanted to punch him in the head, definately ruined my day....

  • yeah no one in 7th runs 14.9

  • my fastest 100 is 11.88 almost a 11.9 . my fastest 110m hurdles is 15.9 . My fastest 800 is a 2:45 . my fastest 300m hurdles is a 44.9 . and my fastest 400 is a 56. Im 16. iknow there not that good...But How can i improve these times?

  • well man, if you want to be good for the 800m, just let me know, I have a sub 2, I'm not trying to brag or anything like that, but I can certainly give you advice and training routes...

  • Dude I run the 800 m! i have a 2 50 tho help me out

  • for your 400 i would suggest doing this workout 1-2 times a week:

4- 300s with a 30 second recovery between each 300 and then finish up with a 2-3 mile easy paced jog to cool down.

Be sure to emphasize the pumping of your arms and stride length, especially on the backstretch, throughout the whole race when you run the 400 and anytime in practice

In the weight room i would suggest doing normal "football" lifts of 3x8. this worked for me in Illinois 7AA we were state champ 4x400 team last year.

  • i just got up from 17.4 to 16.9 hurdlegurl, whose times were u talking about? mine or the person in the video

  • wow. those times wouldn't even get you to state where i live....

  • im in 7th grade in indianapolis. We run low hurdles 110m and my best time is a 17.4,.........our school record is 14.9 all these guys in the video suck.. i also jump 17ft 3in in the longjump

  • bull shit no one in 7th grade runs a 14.9 for hurdles

  • all of you guys are pussies

  • wow here in texas you gotta run at least a 14.4 or so to at least make it to regionals and 14.1-2 to make it to state

  • first of all you probably do the low hurdles and its only 100m. we run 110 HIGH hurdles not little middle school hurdles

  • wow..your guys states are real competitive in ohio all you gotta go is run 15s to go to state..and im a freshman already runnin that

  • Yea, sucks being a hurdler in competitive states. I run a 15.1 in Jersey and I don't even get into States. Then again 15.1 is only decent in upper levels anyway.

  • damn that is slow as fuck

  • thats for state!!!!!!!?

wtf i run a 14.7 and i didnt even make it to state last year for california

    these guys are slow!

  • which state is this

  • Utah.

  • im in 7th grade and i ran the 110 m hurdles for the first time. i got 23.3 but it was my first time

  • i know that isnt a state meet it cant be where the hell is this dude from im from west virginia and the winning time here is 13.4 that time sounds like a county meet. im a sophomore and i run a 14.4 i usually win our county meets and then i got fourth in states last year that ime is terrible

  • im a freshman and i run an 18.6 110m hurdles is that good for a freshman?

  • Thats Horrible you should be puttin up 14's 15's 16's. Sry bud either quit hurdles or work on conditioning, hip flexers, all other kinds of things like roll over chairs but if your puttin 18's then something aint right man.

  • ive only done it 3 times so far in the season

because it was my first time

im trying to do better im only five stepping though that might be it.

but so far 18.6 is doing good for me

i live in PA so idk

  • obviously you didnt run track... everybody doesnt start off that low... it takes work, dont just tell someone to quit like that...

  • your a freshman, thats actually pretty good...when i was a freshman i was running like 20s - 22s now im a junior and running 16s like its nothing

  • yea thats good, im a sophomore and i run 20's for some reason but this is my first year so yea ur doing good!

  • i mean, if its your first year its not bad. last year(7th grade) i got 19.6. and this year my time dropped to 15.2

  • yeah i know next year ill be getting better times.

    are you in highschool yet

because i know when i was in middle school i didnt run hurdles but the hurdles were really short compare to highschool hurdles

  • i run in 13.46, i'm 15 yr

  • dang u guys the top 4 times last year in nc ranged from 13.79 to 13.39 and i came in fourth place but i still ended up winning nike nationals at the end of the year tho. My current pr is 13.65 but im goin for 12.90 its been a year since i ran i should be alot faster now cuz i broke both 55 and 50 hurdles records 7.06 and 7.62! WAYNE DAVIS II

  • hmmmm liu xiang got a 12.88

  • liu also used olympic sized hurdles

  • think your forgeting the fast that wayne davis is in high school... loll

  • wow did u see how many guys tripped over a hurdle?! at my school like no one trips over a hurdle! but they are slow lol.

  • also probably cause its not a state meet, and theirs a lot more pressure here.

  • no you don't get disqualified for hitting a hurdle unless you step out of your lane and disturb the person beside you.

  • question.... do you get disqualified if you knock down a hurdle?

  • no just slows u down makes u get off ur steps and if u hit it really bad it will make u fall

  • I ran a 14.21 before i blew my knee. I had a scholarship to OU OSU and Baylor. These guys need to hit the jump rope before the do this again and work on that form...

  • hahahah damn what state is this Idaho.... In indiana my senior year 14.3 was last at state... white people runnin sprints is funny by itself... minus the fastest wht boy that runs the 400

  • yeah i know 15.23 is no state time i ran a 15 flat at my district meet and bearly made it to regionals

  • Icoached a middle school 8th grade boy who ran a 14.8 in the 110 meter hurdles in 1993. I also coached the 2nd place and 3 place boys. 14.9 and 15.1. The hurdles are not the same height as the high school high hurdles. the 14.8 boy ran a 13.8 at the Texas state meet his senior year.

  • LOL at :30 when they dont know what they are supposed to do and everyone jump XD

  • wow u loser. when the starter says "runner's on your mark" 90 percent of the runners do that as a warm up. don't talk if u r not a track runner

  • Umm... I am a track runner and I'd whip you any day, so dont think that you're superior. The reason why they are doing it is because they dont know what to do. In my area, every1 clap on their legs before start, and that's just a matter of them being stupid and not thinking.

  • ok seriously this 15.2 is garbage for states, in MI if you aint turnin high 14's ya aint shit round here and in NCAA div 2 in michigan ya better be turnin mid 14's sence someone was talking bout college

  • .. seriously.. i indiana you gotta run at least 14.5 if you wanna even get to state.. the top finishers usually run in the 13's

  • i hate you all. my 14.52 didn't get me to state in ca

  • seriously Cali needs low 14's for state

  • Get any slower...I live in Canada and we have 1/10 the High School kids USA has...15.23 wouldn't even get you out of the city you live in and this guy wins state with it...

  • hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! that guy seriously, sucks!!!!!

  • i'm from MI, and i'll tell you, theres 2 guys runnin about a 13.6, 3rd place was a 14.1 at state, so theres no way a 15.2 would hold up. 15.2 wont even get you to state.

  • what age are these guys, those hurdles look like freshman height

  • there is no freshman height. it's high school height, college height, etc. heights don't get divided by grades

  • maybe just my division or state(CA) freshman run like 33inch hurdles while varsity runs 39inch hurdles. but we definantly change hurdle heights between ages. but all colleges and stuff run 42inches right?

  • maybe just my division or state(CA) freshman run like 33inch hurdles while varsity runs 39inch hurdles. but we definantly change hurdle heights between ages. but all colleges and stuff run 42inches right?

  • oh i guess it differes between states.

  • The lower height that you are referring to is because that particular freshman is not on varsity. All high school varsity boys hurdle 110s on 39". Otherwise they wouldn't be able to have meets that include people from different states. And yes, all college boys hurdle the 110s on 42".

  • thats pretty sad, in IL i lost a race last year, 8th grade, in 110m hurdles running a 15.9 (lost to a 15.5). Guessing the winner was a JR or SR, someone 3 years younger can almost beat you. =/

  • L2 Hurdle bud. 15.23 would barely get you to state where I'm from. Let me put it this way. Even for NCAA Division II Track....qualifying for PROVISIONALS is 14.65. And thats just provisionals. Automatic qualification is 14.15.

  • 15.2 is a huge joke, im from PA and i got 4th at states with a 15.1 and i hit 2 hurdles, there is no way a 15.2 should win top 3 anywhere

  • Ok Champ I live in New Jersey and Your 15.1 wouldn' get top 3 in my County meet, and not even come close to getting you to States, that time is HORRIBLE.

  • U got to be Kidding me? 15.23? Im From CA and I ran with Terry Prentice whom won state with 13.53s....and i got 7th with 14.32s and i'm a freshmen in college running the 400LH in 52.67s and 14.23s HH.

P.s I think this is a district or an invites meet not a state meet.

  • Wow Good race

I ran about that same time last year Now im in highschool.. =[ gonna get meh arse whooped

yay Winter track starts in 3 weeks!

  • ya'll suck. My state meet was won with a 13.49 in North Carolina I came fourth in that race and I ran a 13.79. i utah I would be a ledend

  • woah a 15.23 won state!!

i need to move to utah!

geez im a freshman and run a 17.8 which is uncompetitive up here.

i would be a utah legend

  • whoa dey suxx

  • OMG 15.23 what state track meet is this?Nebraska? cuz it has to be somewhere no one cares about

  • Just so you know I'm not some random guy who doesn't know anything about hurdles, I ran 13.92 in high school and I'm still running in college.

  • Thank you for your assessment. Yes, Jake is in lane 3. He will not be back from Mexico until next year so I will email your comments to him, see what he says. I wish you well with your hurdling, well done.

  • Also, the first hurdle is a key one not to hit because it takes away from your acceleration through the first three hurdles. Hopefully this was helpful.

  • There is actually some really good hurdling going on in this clip. If the guy in lane 1 kept his lean coming out of the hurdle and picked up his tempo in between hurdles he would be pretty good. I think you're the guy in lane 3 right? Well anyways lane 3 needs to work on explosiveness for the start and to keep your arms moving on top of the hurdle. If your arms pause in the air, then your legs tend to do the same.

  • what was the time for the one who came 1st?
