@DEBONAIRMAN you are so correct~ D'Angelo admitted "OMAR" was his main influence. D'Angelo .....brought the neo-soul to the main stream....of the soul of the people of color.
Come on Darlin' - I've been patiently waiting for you to come on out into the beautiful light! - waiting for your smooth, cool sounds to perpetrate my soul again........
apart from the 2nd clip, the rest are all old tracks. you and i with method man, the notic with the roots, tell me with slum village and shining star with the roots
None of these songs are new - they were released on other people's projects so they're not listed under his name. Look him up on wikipedia and you see the complete list - everything he played on, wrote, produced and collabos that he's done that aren't on his albums. Then you can download the full songs (I did). It's not what we're waiting for but it eases the frustration until the new stuff comes out. The only new one I've heard is "Really Love". It's NICE.
If this so-called "new album" is just gonna be a mixtape of all his cameos from other songs, then I'm not too enthused.
By the way everyone, the second track is "The Notic" with Erykah Badu on the Roots album 'Illadelph Halflife'. The third track is "Tell Me" by Slum Village on the 'Fantastic vol. 2' album. D'Angelo was also with a producing collective consisting of Q-Tip, Ahmir Thompson (aka ?uestlove), J-Dilla, & James Poyser called The Ummah. If you liked 'Mama's Gun', then you've heard 'em.
Hey!!!!!!those 20-30 second traks are all colaborations that D' was doin' a few years ago!!!!!I have it all!!"break up to make up" whit method, the notic' whit roots, shinin' star whit roots & badu, the vocal intro from cold world whit wu-tang and such more....I have "yoda" and it's a mixtape...the first track is this and the other are some live cover and some studio jam material from the recording of voodoo...if you want I can tell you all the featurings that are in this track...peace
The first track is actually a method man track featuring d'angelo, and no its not new :)

D'Angelo is tight, no doubt. However, the real monarch of neo soul is Omar...who D'Angelo admitted was his main influence.
