3 years ago I got carpal tunnels. My physiotherapist told me it was probably caused by poi-spinning (she knew nothing about poi, I should have brought them) and NOT my job as a barista where I spent most of my day making espresso-shots in repetitive motions. I had to quit my job and poi. 2 years later carpal tunnels was still a problem, but I HAD to spin poi again. I have spun poi every day for a year now, and the carpal tunnels? Long gone... poi = health!
Amazing!!! By the people [person] for the people!!! I think i will now be more sensible and serious about warming up/down! and start doing yoga and pilates!!!! THANKS NICK and physiotherapist!!! xXx
i've had horrible problems with my right shoulder for as long as i can remember, but it's going away quite noticeably since i started spinning, especially with windmills and flowers ^^

Wow, thanks Nik and Jamie for this!
Having injuries on both of my shoulders, it's encouraging to know that my poi practice will actually help if I keep it up properly!
You guys always have the sweetest tutorials/vids! Keep up the awesome work and thanks again! :D

Very useful. The part about the best grip on the poi was the most interesting.
