I believe that this movie tells the story of  Rocketman Burt Rutan and " space ship one" . This craft with pilot Brian Binnie succesfully visited space in october 2004 . The movie was great and knowing that people acomplished this in real life is even more inspirational . It really tells anybody that if you can imagine it you can do it. or if you can dream it you can be it.

I loved this movie very inspirational. This movie also made think and futher research conviced me that this type of free market competition is what we need in the future of space exploration. I mean NASA has done a good job at alot of things but the monopoly that is has in space exploration is one of the big reasons why we havent done anything historic and new in sending astronauts further in space. i was stunned to find that Buzz Aldrin has a similer free market approach opinon like mine.

This was a great concept. The trailer looked good. But the movie was really lacking. One of the worst things was the special effects during the space flight. They were awful. It looked like a cheesy low resolution videogame during what should have been the best part of the movie after all that build up. And why doesn't the family get out of the car to congratulate him at the end? They just stay in there smiling wtf? He just came back from fucking space! they should be running out of that car.

I disagree highly about people who don't like this film. Having watched Armageddon and hated it, this film believe it or not is much more accurate and better acting. Atleast you don't see the engines flaring with what seems like unlimited fuel all the way to the moon. I highly enjoyed this movie especially from an emotional perspective. This movie is up there with Apollo 13 in my opinion (which Apollo 13 IS the most accurate space film ever made by hollywood, and with great acting)

I usually love the whole "go against the odds/live your dreams/underdog against the system" type of concept, but a rocket in a barn?

If you want to see an inspirational movie about rockets, see "October Sky." Great movie!!!

This was the worst movie I've seen in 5 years or more. The acting was a joke. The plot was laughable. They threw in some predictable obstacles along the way. He crashed a rocket and spent a few weeks in the hospital. He then orbited the Earth 9 times...on a shoestring budget. Save your time and watch paint dry. It's much more entertaining than this flick. The old "farm foreclosure" bit was already done by the Dukes of Hazzard...every episode. Go ingest more drugs, Billy Bob.
