McCain was right about everything...so give him credit and don't be a partisan fag. He opposed the war in the first place and pushed for the surge ever since to get it over quickly. He was right. About gun control, etc...not so much.
Did he wink after he said "We don't need to go back to a draft in my view"? I know that's ludicrous but its kinda funny if anyone else saw it. 3:46-3:50
Obama Voted For And McCain Voted Against Adding Nearly Half-A-Billion Dollars In Funding For Veterans Health Care In Wake Of $1.2 Billion Shortfall. In 2006, Obama voted for and McCain voted against adding $430 million for outpatient and inpatient health care and treatment for veterans. [HR 4939, Vote 98, 4/26/06, Passed 84-13, D 41-0; R 42-13; I 1-0; The Independent Budget, A Budget for Veterans by Veterans, 2/10/06; Newsweek, 1/19/06]
McC: "...they're goin' out in 130 - 135 degree heat. Puttin' on 40 pounds of body armor, another 40 pounds of equipment..."
MOD: "And how do you get more?"
McC: "Recruit 'em."
I guess you'll have 'em linin' up for that service in the name of oil company profits and NOTHING ELSE. It is frightening that a person with his "judgment" is in ANY position of power, much less being considered for President. Pathetic. Sad. We are so screwed as a country!
It'd be frightening if this were somehow a rare event. I can't get excited about it knowing that's how most people think. What can we expect when people in one city make decisions regarding things around the world?
Ask me, the armed services committee should convene in the current theater of conflict.
I just don't understand where he will get all the troops from if he doesn't wanna go back to the draft, he just said we F-ed for troops, and he winked after saying he didn't think we had to go back to a draft, whats that wink sposed to mean?
