Some of my best friends are Ismailis but I dont consider them Muslim and neither do they themselves especially who have grown up in USA and learnt real Ismaili teachings. Whereas immigrants from India and Pakistan consider themselves Muslims and recite the Quran. Their religion, prophet/caliph is Agha Khan. He is the Noor of Allah. Islam would be the last religion to condone dynasties, so totally unIslamic. But how are they diff from all the people who have Pirs/Gadi Nasheens in Pakistan.
You need to practice your own belief and not worry about other people's religion. Talking bad about other people's belief doesn't make you right. Why do you care so much about Ismailis if you aren't one. LET PEOPLE BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT. Who the hell are you to judge other's beliefs?
Our imam is guiding us according to time, we pray as written in Quran, but how to pray that was taught by our imam and just like earlier by prophet Mohammad
we are doing nothing which is forbidden in Quran, we worship Allah (beleive in Ahad, beleive in Prophet Mohammad)
Our tariqah is different ( as taught by our Imam same noor as beloved Muhammad) just like earlier it was taught by Hazrat Mohammad how to pray.

In fact, daughter of Agha Khan married a practicing christian, which is definately unislamic. Your basing you view on Ismailism from the practices of few Ismailis. Many Ismailis keep Roza, and im sure most Ismailis dont sell Alcohol. If selling Alcohol is the issue there are many Muslims (non Ismailis) that sell alcohol as well does that make everyone non Muslim? Obviously not. Not sure about USA, but there is definitely nikah in Canada.

Our dua which you should know being a former ismaili has selected parts that comes straight from the Quran, many of our practices also come straight from the quran. Ismailis believe in Modesty and in todays society that is very important. You cant live like how Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) did in the oldern days but what you can do is listen and to follow what he said.

Aga Khan is a big fraud and joke. I'm glad I didn't go and visit him a few years ago in Paris, when I still thought was an Ismaeli.. The man is a bad joke and if there is a time that I will see him, I will ask him during his fake meetings about his frauds and expose him as the joke that he is. For what you say & show here I can see that Ismailies are ahead of the time, like every other religion is. Muslims are stuck in 7th Century when things were different from today. Most religions went thru what you are going now. We beleived ours was the true religion, everbody else was going to hell. That we must follow the bible, or the book that was our "word of God", follow it by the letter. Not any more. Those books were written for other times. We have grown and I recommend you to grow too.

How do you determine whats good and bad? according to you its disrespecting a sect, according to me its warning others about fraud. The defination of good and bad changes.
For example since you have an imaam who guides you...pls tell me if selling alcohol is good or bad acording to ismaili tariqah?
@venkyhyundai there is nothing wrong with selling alcohol. period. LOTS AND LOTS OF muslims(whether shia sunni or ismaili) in western countries have convenience stores and they sell alcohol. There is nothing wrong with it. Consuming alcohol is wrong and according to our faith doesn't allow that. What if a person is a good muslim but there is only one job he can do and that involves selling alcohol, should he not work and let his family starve or sell alcohol and work?
@venkyhyundai can a sunni muslim own a strip club or a brothel? In islam, pig is haram but if its required you CAN eat a pig to survive. You knew that im sure since you are a muslim. This is exactly why we have an imam, to keep guiding us when times change. The book can only guide you for so long and its interpretations change depending on the time, the answer is NO, our imam has said we should not go into business that are shameful to islam and unethical.

Greed is when you do all those things and keep the profits for your own sake, its not green when you build your business and help others with the money and do charity. That is my definition

(now the quest is hw to pray, that was not written in quran but it was taught by our prophet)
Earlier we were performing the same Namaz which you guyz do, but later OUr Imam guided us to pray with different quranic verses.
Because we beleive OUr imam holds the same noor as Muhammad, we follow him just like earlier we follow Hazrat Muhammad

@aaa11092 For e.g. you beleive Hazrat Esa, Moosa as Nabi right,and all 124000 prophets, right ? then why namaz was not enforced in same manner to them as we do now? They also pray but in different manner, they didn't follow the tree and stuck on the same tariqah (which they were taught)

Your basing you view on Ismailism from the practices of few Ismailis. Many Ismailis keep Roza, and im sure most Ismailis dont sell Alcohol. If selling Alcohol is the issue there are many Muslims (non Ismailis) that sell alcohol as well does that make everyone non Muslim? Obviously not. Not sure about USA, but there is definitely nikah in Canada.

Our dua which you should know being a former ismaili has selected parts that comes straight from the Quran, many of our practices also come straight from the quran. Ismailis believe in Modesty and in todays society that is very important. You cant live like how Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) did in the oldern days but what you can do is listen and to follow what he said.

Aga Khan is a big fraud and joke. I'm glad I didn't go and visit him a few years ago in Paris, when I still thought was an Ismaeli.. For what you say & show here I can see that Ismailies are ahead of the time, like every other religion is. Muslims are stuck in 7th Century when things were different from today. Most religions went thru what you are going now. We beleived ours was the true religion, everbody else was going to hell. That we must follow the bible, or the book that was our "word of God", follow it by the letter. Not any more. Those books were written for other times. We have grown and I recommend you to grow too.

How do you determine whats good and bad? according to you its disrespecting a sect, according to me its warning others about fraud. The defination of good and bad changes.

@venkyhyundai there is nothing wrong with selling alcohol. period. LOTS AND LOTS OF muslims(whether shia sunni or ismaili) in western countries have convenience stores and they sell alcohol. There is nothing wrong with it. Consuming alcohol is wrong and according to our faith doesn't allow that. What if a person is a good muslim but there is only one job he can do and that involves selling alcohol, should he not work and let his family starve or sell alcohol and work?

@venkyhyundai can a sunni muslim own a strip club or a brothel? In islam, pig is haram but if its required you CAN eat a pig to survive. You knew that im sure since you are a muslim. This is exactly why we have an imam, to keep guiding us when times change. The book can only guide you for so long and its interpretations change depending on the time, the answer is NO, our imam has said we should not go into business that are shameful to islam and unethical.

Greed is when you do all those things and keep the profits for your own sake, its not green when you build your business and help others with the money and do charity. That is my definition

You sell because it may be the source of your income, as long as you dont drink, its alright...think about it with common sense and logic.
