I took a 130mm hardtail last summer(commencal ramones) and had loads of fun, I wouldn't plan on doing a number of consecutive days tho as you won't be able to feel your hands. I would recommend some pads tho.
@Skandoro i did this in aug 2011 on a hardtail i was not the fastest down but i only been riding since april 2011 was a good ride built my confidence with my bike and i lernt my limits that i am pushing
What a track? me and a mate were up there last summer, the big corner on the north shore, yes you know the one! it is lethal, i wouldn't like to come off there!!!
Was there a few weeks ago in the pissing rain & gondola got closed so only three runs. Absolutely superb!!!!!. Great video thats a dead leg on the rock..
Rode it a month ago in rain/wind/mist - AND it is still a blast.Bonus is you can ride it on just about anything,as long as you got fat sticky tyres and the right attitude.A bit like a sustained Balblair/Learnie - fanatastic.Loved the vid too gents,specially the failed tailwhip at the wee leftie near the treeline.Hope ya binned the big ugly rock!
Took a trip up this last weekend. Weather was bobbins, mist meant you couldn't really enjoy the track as corners just appeared out of nowhere. We were pretty gutted but enjoyed the orange track so it wasn't a waste. Oh, good video by the way, nice flow.

@arthurlikesmusic i think you could, as long as you are skilled and you've got a solid bike and don't take it too hard.
It gets quite rocky in places so a hardtail isn't ideal. BUT anything is possible on a hardtail (If you've got balls)
