  • Mafiaboy is a script kiddie n00b

  • @Imalovleytroll what makes you sure he is a skid n00b? ;)

  • rofl ddosing is not hard. this guy isnt worth interviewing

  • he's a good lookin' dude (no homo)

  • LOL THE LINK IS A TROJAN XD

  • Ddos...

  • Sorry, hacking is accessing a computer system (blackhat=illegally) - this guy isn't a hacker. He is known for DDOS attacks, which is not difficult, as he said its just like inundating a telephone service - too many calls system goes over. OK, a little more knowledge is needed to knock over an internal network (but not that much - just some TCP and DNS knowledge), but not an outward-facing website. He is just trying to sell his book - buy Mitnick's instead!

  • This guy is an inspiration for what we do now.

He is the reason we know what we know now, and we are able to host so many connections over a VPS.

He is the reason there is organized internet crime and the reason for our internet existence.

Mafiaboy, if you read this, just happen to read this...you ignited a new generation.

  • If assholes like this "mafiaboy" (bitch poser name) wouldn't hack people we wouldn't need all this dumbass security shit

  • @xXJakethesnake117Xx if ppl wouldnt steal/murder/commit crime, we wouldnt need all this cop shit, fucking dumbass ppl have been doing it for a long time, ppl will continue to do it, its called greed, every human being has it, if they see an oppurtunity, theyre gonig to take it.

  • this was back in 2000, security then was really poor, it would be much harder to bring a system down know, especially as they learn't lessons from this guy crashing it

  • Well first of all, theres no way you can just come up with a idea and start hacking, its done by researching and its time consuming, and also reading gains the knowledge of the current exploits and how they are structured, so these all things are combined and then after this, they all start to think of new ideas and research about it, hacking is a skill, hacking books wont tell you how to hack, except it will give a example of how the hack worked and the exploits, its a conception u lern urself

  • The guy below me is autistic.

This is about raising awareness on cyber security through the use of a book, not suppressing freedom of speech. If anything, a denial-of-service attack is suppressing websites, therefore suppressing business and free speech. If you think blackmailing industries is a part of a free speech, it isn't. It's called a crime you dumbass.

  • No one gives a fuck. Some cunt who wants to be a hero writes a book about how he thinks passwords need to be on everything.

FUCK HIM. The internet is the truely last free bastion of speech and will. It's perfect chaos. And the Government is just trying to take hold of something where people still have some form of true freedom because autistic teenagers kill themselves because they get bullied (that's a good thing).

  • haha i just laughed at the random guy at 0:49 heh

  • Ddos attack is sooo easy to perform,

  • I can kind of see his point about people still sleeping as I'm sure sentences for these kinds of attacks are next to nothing, basic computer trespassing sentences are 60 days in county jail, I'm speaking from personal experiences... :/

  • I remember this back in 2000 when it happened, he brought down sites such as yahoo, sprint and AT&T Worldnet Services amongst others with a DDOS/Botnet attack. After him there was talks amongst congress about wanting to give out life sentences for anyone that deployed DDOS attacks because they said and I quote

"it is more economically crippling than mass genocide" ...I'm still not sure if that bill ever got passed but I can kinda see their point. I was 16 at the time.

  • how can you hack black ops

  • mafiaboy idol!!!

  • lol i like how she asked him to explain something he couldnt do himself. he was a pawn of forum hackers who actually knew what they were doing and they had to coach him every inch of the way, Since all the real hackers got away with it and remain unknown he has become a famous "hacker"

  • @onikyatto The Conficker's author is the world most famous hacker. Unknown, but damn famous.

  • DDoS = FAIL

  • 0:51

    oopss !

  • fuckin dickhead

  • mafiaboy sellout!

  • script kiddy wont couse 8.000.000 damage -.-

he was a great hacker, in his time

    @neso1991 you are right ;)

  • only noobs hack, i earn money the best way!!!, bitches!!! :D::DDDD

  • @Kidde15 Yep...and "That ain't all bad"!..lol

  • how did they lose 8 million dollars through a ddos?

  • @turm0wnzproductionz he explains it in the vid lol. if ppl can't surf the web they can't find stuff they want and they can't buy. U'd be amazed how many transactions are passed just in the minute I wrote this msg :P

  • First of all, it's been my experience that university computers and their networks are the least secure medium in existence. Now couple this with the year 2000: an era when no standards existed for protocols, programming languages, security personnel, passwords... Lastly, the only thing the six-year-old had in his divorced life was a computer. With all that time to practice in his bedroom, his exploits are the least I would expect. If anything, I feel sorry for him.

  • I heard from a computer geek about algorythms ...i know it's spelled wrong..lol.....but he seemed to say that is the in thing now anyone know bout that?

  • @salm37 Lol it's algorithm

  • Lol, guy peeks in at :50

  • script kiddie mafia boy is far to be genious.. use other poeple program, execute it and thats all. hes not genius or anything. he's just a kid who run a .EXE file.

  • @van84 exe vs elf files. lol far different.

  • i think he is a genius to do so much at such a young age

  • @abcasd1 I agree...but the best way to be on the internet is being quiet...not bragging, the real hackers......you will never hear about them because they don't have egos....the ones that brag usually get caught bcause of it.....

  • @salm37 actually they do have ego's, its just that they dont brag about it.

  • NICE TITS.

  • I respect what he did but it really seems like he turned his back on the computer savvy group. Kind of like gary did and now look at him. Hacking to make corporations more secure. Eh, more of a challenge. But really but what he sounds like, by his message, he wants the Internet more commercialized than it is. Hackers created the web for god sake. For the people made by the people.

  • The most hackers are very social.

    Just a fact ;)

  • Dade Murphy aka zerocool hacked at age 11. XD

    (jokes)

  • i think this story is fabricated to prepare us for more internet security and censorship in the future. Internet will not be viral for very long.

  • @000WOLFBANE000 scary thought but i agree. which is when the real "hackers" and open source community will step in. probably be jailed. and if not we will have our own internet lol. freenet

  • I like how hes talking about this like he did this all to help us and to teach us about internet security.

  • He has talent but in 2000 web wasn't really secured :p seriously.

  • i thought that person is 15yr old...LOL looks old...but hes actually 23yr old now..

  • lol at all the jealous little hacker wannabes posting here.

  • He could of done so much more but I read his books and he was only a kid when this happened!

  • he is the shit hacker..... he doesn't know how to crack bank codes or hacking accounts ..... he is bullshit that know only hacking sites...... noob

  • @progamersful wtf man are you kidding me? He's cracked over 40 supercomputers around the world. that something bigger than somebodys account, don't you think?

  • all he did was dos websites? thats hardly anything to be proud of...

  • Scriptkiddy

  • ThaT guy a fucking the best ever hacker!!!

  • I would sex that chick

  • @LukeValentino you got some low standards bruh

  • @we5tcoast at least i get some "bruh"

  • he wasnt a script kiddy but a lot of the programs he used werent his he got them from his friends in his clan or whateever read the book

  • This was back in 2000 and to call him a script kiddy is absolutely wrong. He did more than dos attacks. He hacked into University computers in the US and used that as launching base for attacking popular websites at the time. To say hes a script kiddy is just plain stupid and he had talent at that time. I bet half you of kids here can't even take any site down. Enjoy googl'ing how to do it because it won't work lol, it takes some brains.

  • Ya Neso you're right. It does takes some brain. Googling is not hacking.

"Tools don't make hacker. Hackers make the tools." -ZypsyHacker. Please reply Neso.

  • @ZypsyHacker hacking is too hard i dont know why people take all the time to learn how to program and shit like that.

  • @zypsyhacker

"quotes don't make the hacker. they do make him a fag, though."

  • Or a good botnet. :P

  • lol, googling it will just get you infected with trojans

  • DoS attacks show little skill to be honest. Sure, if you make a syn flood program in C using raw sockets, then that's impressive (to me at least). I won't deny DoS is a type of hack, but hacking is an art. I think it is like taking a dump on a canvas. It's ugly, but its a painting none the less.

I think what he did was just bind some bots with worm capabilities (most likely custom made), and had that spread until he had all the zombies he needed.

  • @Neso1991

dood you don't know wtf you're talking about. he was a script kiddie/cracker as am I. We bumped heads a few times in our waring days on efnet (IRC)with various separate groups of people we hung out with. I could even tell you what program he used to take down the sites he did and I can tell you who coded the program...so trust me you're a little off here. Although I must admit over the years it looks like hes learned alot more and is more intelligent now and also matured.

  • @0verload You're such a loser. "" ohh we bumbed heads a few times in our waring days on irc with groups of people we hung out with." You think you're fresh trying to sound like you can do what this guy did. you're just a wannabe cracker who is really trying to fit into any social group available... its prettty pathetic

  • @ocean10122

lol you're a complete newb and know absolutely fuckall if you think that mafiaboy was anything more then a script kiddie cracker back then. Maybe hes more now who knows but back then he wasn't. I was nothing more than that either..and I'm fine with that..lol trying to fit into any social group? You're a complete moron. If you only had the slightest idea of all the hobbies and past times I have you'd know that I have friends of all sorts. Just stop talking because you don't know shit

  • @0verload Your incompidence by far exceeds your intelligence. Your speech is arrogant and obnoctious. You sound very insecure and in denial about this subject. Maybe you should try picking up a new "hobby" because just by listening to you muble and utter your meaningless low class speech is making me laugh.. You are not no "hacker" noor are you a script kiddie. stepby step instructions? Go read the "Hacker's handbook" by -Hugo Cornwall. I hate it when people like yourself make us look bad...

  • @SkZ0r

    Hacker fight?

    "pew pew"

  • @Neso1991 Yes a DDoS attack is as complex as it gets. Shhhh

  • @Neso1991 ...he's a script kiddy.

  • @Neso1991 hell yeah your right man, i learned the hard way and the right way READING

  • @Neso1991 u clearly know nothing yes he is a script kiddie and no he knew nothing. he was given programs and scripts then coached on how to use them effectively and where to use them. Nothing was his idea or creation therefor he is a script kiddie. Also even though he was coached on what to do and how to do it he still typed countless incorrect commands compiling a giant list of fuck ups.

the guys on the forums were real hackers who were brilliant at not getting caught.

  • @onikyatto Damn right, nothing is called skill. Use a fucking GUI program like Anonymous's LOIC to caught a little fame then to be called a 'hacker'.

  • @Neso1991 Define script kiddie in a simple way: a newbie hacker who 'uses other people's programs to hack'. Btw, Gary Mckinnon is 10 time better than this guy because he wrote 'his own tools'. 9 out 10 hardcore hackers write their own tools. This guy is just a noob who caught on fame in a wrong way.

I disrespect for anyone who call themselves as a 'hacker' by using other people's stuff.

  • @Neso1991 yo u sound like a hacker one question how do hackers learn to hack?

  • @adofri you have to have the brain for it hackers don't "learn" to hack yes they may find ideas from other hackers but the pro's will make there own stuff to hack with.

  • @martella2007 but how do they know what theyre doing!

  • @Neso1991 Well yea it does take some brains but you are able to just go to Google and search it but the part you need brains for is putting it all together so it is stable enough to attack and not get caught, now that is the hardest bit.

  • @Neso1991 Once script kiddie, always script kiddie.

Unless this guy can actually write some exploit *all by himself* and not using remote desktop administration and crypter programs written *by other people*. Funny how some guy at SecTor interviewed him last year and even now, he still can't write his own exploit.

    Still a kiddie. Sorry.

  • @Neso1991 It's not hard to run a botnet. Or use a booter rofl.

  • This guy's from my neighbourhood. I remember everyone's surprise when the infamous mafiaboy turned out to be a kid who lived 5 minutes from their house.

  • OP..

  • DDOS IS NOT A HACK LOL

  • he never admits he is a hacker lol

Learn your shit and its not DDOS he did, it was just a DOS, Denial of Service another D would mean distributed which would mean more than one. Again learn your shit

  • Hmm. I thought it was a DoS attack. How did he send so many packets and howcome Yahoo couldnt take it?

  • I have no idea, I think he is living on publicity and their were more people who were never caught. He could have been the only one caught and 100 people took part in the attack.

  • @Greg21240

He did the attacks himself. Go figure.

  • I'm not a believer he did it all himself you cunt me thinks he had a few IRC mates who helped.

  • Clap clap

  • hes a script kiddy

  • I don't think you have the right to call someone that when you don't know basic scripts.

  • you guys are all up here making fun of him and stuff you gotta realize this was 8 years ago far less technology then today and the kid was 15 grow up and think in his time he was very good technology has grown and im sure his smarts about computers has wow you guys really dont have open minds ..

  • maybe he can not create even a brute force script -.-'

  • @mitsay maybe he will use AutoIT to write one LOL!

  • WoW, he can perform DDoS attacks. u just gotta love this guy, lmfao!

  • lmao,,, 0.50

    Hes kind of hot

  • lol fuck that fag, whata snitch.

  • MafiaBoy has inspired me to become a hacker! XD

    LOL at 0:50

  • A 3 year old could hack. :|

  • First of all this guy who claims to be a "Hacker". Wasn't really a hacker he was a cracker he used hackers programs that were used and made by them. In a senese he was a guinea pig for them, to see if their programs will actually work,so pritty much they give him the programs to get tested, so they would not get caught. At the end the media proclaimed him a "Hacker", And yes there are people who are called crackers.

  • he wasn't a guinea pig he was just the only one who decided to use these programs, which for all we know could have been made for upon request by his fellow team members, on the largest internet companies out there, he was after all a busy kid with a life other then learning computer coding, so technically he was a hacker, just not a coder

  • Most of what you are saying is correct. But the terminology "cracker" is incorrect. A cracker and hacker are two different things. A cracker is all about 'cracking' hard problems, this can be used in the hacking sense, but mostly programmers are crackers. (Haha, crackers xD)

  • @exofluxwebdesign In slang 'cracker' also means to insult white people. Or grain food as 'cracker'.

'Hacker' is the right word for someone or something that hack and cut things. For example, 'the weed hacker'.

    XD

  • sell out.

  • lmfao hacker.....JUST AN EASY PINGER NOOB

  • Well, he is a Hacker as he didnt do a ICMP Flood.

He did a DDOS so he used SYN-Flooding and/or XMASS-Flooding.

  • 1.8 Billion*. Not 8 millon...

  • denial of service...........not a big deal

  • Botnets are way to easy to get going. All because of ignorance with computers so in result, everyone becomes a zombie. Take a look at the Storm Botnet. It have 1.7million zombies. It can send 5gb of traffic per second. It's freaking insane.

  • he should shut the fuck up and let us do our thing

  • Is that DDoS he talking about?

  • yes , bots to make zombie PC that are under the hackers control to flood and crash any given domain. but its outdated now

  • In what sense is it outdated?

  • its outdated meaning that you could try the DDoS but most home router firewalls block it now, and also not to mention host firewalls, like i use norton 360 which is probably the best host firewall on the market, i dont know if avast, avg, or any other free virus protection software offer a host firewall, all i know is its just virus protection.

  • norton 360 is retarded srsly it doesnt do much..

  • Making a botnet is too easy thats the problem :)

make all zombie-pc's to one botnet and u can kill the whole internet.

  • ping of death

  • PoD is outdated.

Doesnt work as the buffer is fixed.

The Ping of Death was a BufferOverflow Denial of Service attack that worked since the Developers didn't do proper error handling. The Retarded thing is that it also worked with BT when that got released. :)

  • yes lol

  • hEy Hey Hey ist man is Rayo un trueno is best

  • he doesn't know shit...

  • This guy doesn't know anything about computers. he was a kid who took a program already made from the internet and he used it without using his brain. like a real dum kid. And now he wants to sell a book not written by him, but by a writer. He is a high school dropout!

  • Jealous that he DoS'd a network? A kid could do that.

  • hacker has no life and the fact is your jealous because what he does if its so easy ..why hes the only to do it

  • why should i be jealous a person using a program which was already made on a web page, he only had to download it and used it. you don't have to be a genius for that. do you know which program he used? but the one who wrote the program was smart enough not to used it a magor website like yahoo, google etc...

  • @ELManlinos LOL.think before you type something that fucking stupid again. He hack a super computer you dumb fuck. How stupid are you.

  • he prove that kid can do REALLY BIG things....

  • I heard he is great..

  • hi schuld still hack the internet

  • Because the guy next to him wrote it, he just told the story while the other dude wrote it so it could be understood.

  • Uh, as he comes from Quebec, I believe his native language is French. I'm guessing his English is a lot better than your French.

  • I believe the American Amazon version will be called:

Mafiaboy: A Portrait of the Hacker as a Young Man

And will come out around July 2009
