It got to the point where the British were trapped on Britain & low on food, and the French could only fight a guerrilla style campaign. The Soviets had lost millions of soldiers, and the Germans were no doubt weakened by years of fighting. Now, here comes the USA with 16 million combat troops...Who's gonna win?

There in lies the problem, Britian still contests that its gretest ally should and will be the USA. However there is little benefit for the UK in this.
The only way to really put the great back in britian is to use all the historical expertise we have to make europe a dominent world entity. Arrogant but true.
