The guy who said that there's virtually no difference in the accents of the various boroughs is absolutely right. Instead, as he said, it's much easier to tell a "NY Jewish accent" from a "NY Italian accent" from a "NY Irish accent". I was born and raised in Queens but went to high school in Brooklyn with many kids from there, and there's no way you can tell if someone is from Queens or Brooklyn. Some people like to think you can tell the difference, but you can't.
