Annie, what did you use to clean the residue off of him? My baby has some olive oil on his feathers and I've been trying dawn soap as the vet recommended but it isn't working well. He is also sick from an infection so I have been scared to bathe him too much. Hope you can help us make our baby recover too <3
Poor baby, I'm sorry he didn't make it. My 6 week old budgie flew away yesterday, my only hope is that someone with a caring heart like you finds him and saves him. I'm so sad and feeling guilty, can't stop thinking he is probably starving right now, or maybe a cat ate him.
youre such a good person, personally i just want to kick all these jackasses ass who torture birds or any animal for that matter just because "they feel like it" its fuckin disgusting these people should die and get their heads smashed in
wow, what a dedicated and wonderfull person you are!!, to show such care and love to a little creature like that poor ,poor bird ..i hate how some people feel that small creatures that are ill are ok to ignore...it makes me so cross...you my dear girl are and asset and and example to all keepers out there of all animals....amazing person!!!
@oneillchrismuscle Thankyou so much for that lovely comment onielchrismuscle. I love all creatures of any size and species, and will always go the extra mile for them x
CHOCOLATE how? idk! We had to give him this very stong stuff to make him puck it out... He is now healthy and happy as sweet as an angel. How people including some relatives of mine would just have him SHOT! I probobly spent 200 bucks on him but it was worth it... Keep it up Its up to us to get these poor animals saved!
How is he doing now? I love budgies so much! Whent to a pet store, and I saw one was all fluffed up being takin out of the cage to be KILLED! I said are you bringing him to the vet? I quote "nope throwing him away" I said " Ummmmm no your giving him to me! Im not paying and im going to walk out of your store for the last time! He handed me the bird I headed off with him and brought him strait to the vet :) He had eaten
Annie, I watched this video and the one about Binky. Still crying my eyes out. I know the joy of having a budgie, having had them years ago as a child. I can't understand why people can be so cruel to such trusting little creatures who only want to be loved. I'm thinking about getting another one as I write. Please, please keep up the up the good work ! You are an angel to these little birds.
AnnieBirday, I'm sorry about Binky but I'm even sorrier about the fact that there are such total asses like SIN002. I quoted a line from a child's poem to you some time ago and I'm quoting it to SIN00: "And a kingdom was lost for the lack of a horseshoe nail". SIN002, may you find you're missing horseshoe nail and lose your kingdom very soon. Consider that a curse on you.
dear Sandra, I remember that quote so well. SIN002 is blocked now. I have no problems with people with valid oppinions or comments or arguments...But timewasters like this twerp just get wiped out. I want my time to go to people like FWCAS above, and it will! Thankyou my dear friend, for all you say, and all you do xxxx
you have no idea how much happiness a little budgie could bring into your life. if you don't, why are you on this video? you're calling budgies insignificant but look at you spending your day on youtube commenting on videos trying to make others feel bad. congrats, you deserve an award.
I was walking into a pet store on my way home from a job interview, hoping to get some high quality cockatiel seed. I got a sudden strong whiff of sometrhing very unpleasant. I turned on the steps, and saw a woman with an 'object' in a tiny carry cage. She was hoping to sell this stinking object for 15pounds, cos the object wouldnt clean itself, and it was DIRTY. I stuffed a fiver into her hand and watched her walk over to the off license over the road. I wish Id smacked her
I just didnt realise at that un-prepared for moment, that I would meet a needy bid.I didnt have time to think, this bird wasnt going into a petshop, thats all I thought. I was cold, pissing with rain, the woman wouldnt include the minicage. I brought Binky home down the sleeve of my jacket, I took it off. I was dripping in wet, in rain, Binky was safe from the elements. At the time, I had swine flu. Binky had neglect. I was ill, Binky was dying. And yes, i WOULD swap if it would fetch her back.
I wish you had been able to follow her home so you could report her. Not that i would have thought about that at the time - i would have been desperately trying to get home to give some urgent care and attention to the poor little abused bird, just as you did. People like that woman deserve severe punishment.
Thankyou! And yes, a life is precious, regaedless of physical size or form. It has a heart, a soul, feelings. Why people cannot see this is beyond me. I will never understand.
I too have wondered if Binky is a juvenile hen, yet in real life (un camerered) the cere is a lot more purply blue than it looks on the pictures. I shall keep an open mind until she/he is fitter and a little bit older! Thankyou for you comment and for watching!
His wings are clipped...??? :((( personally I think thats the cruellest thing you can do to a healthy budgie, I took on a budgie whos wings had been clipped and he would always try to fly with the other budgies when they were out. It was heartbreaking to see him fall everytime.
My prayers are with you, hope he pulls through, he has so much to live for!
How did he get to the condition he was in before?
yes Ch1ka, some ignorant, heartless arsehole hacked of all his little flight feathers, he's only a BABY!! I too hate wing clipping, as you say, the results are heartbreaking to watch. I dont know how he got into this condition, often the case in rescue, you just have to work blind realy, whilst ensuring that their future is one hell of a lot sweeter than their past!
Both you and Binky have my prayers. And it's sad to think some people do believe that something so small is disposable. A children's rhyme ends with "And for the lack of a horse-shoe nail a kingdom was lost". The smallest of things affect all our lives. How did this happen to Binky? I remember your cockatiel & how you were able to save it. I hope Binky's spirit is still strong enough to see light and want to live. Bless you. Sandra K - AH, Illinois,USA
Sandra its lovely to see you, thankyou for watching and commenting. yes the story of the horseshoe nail holds a lot of true meaning dosent it. I am feeling more confident with each passing day that I will get Binky through this, and turn his awful life around for him. No creature should suffer, not ever, and especially not the indignities that this poor little sod has gone through :-(
Thankyou QueenIshtar777! I will do everything in my mortal power to bring him back to life, to REAL life where things will be good and he will be happy and loved. its been a long time my friend, I hope you are keeping well and that your life is good!
Hi Budgerigarr, thankyou so much for your prayers. He is still with us so thats got to be good! yes I have named him, he is called Binky. Little dinky Binky!
You are an angel. I am sending every good and strong thought I have to this little guy, Each and every life is so precious. I am on the night shift, so I will send him strength and love all night while others sleep. I will keep his vigil.
JM, Thankyou sooooo much! That means so much, to him, and to me. I have just peeped under his cover, he is fast asllep over his heatpad. Laying flat, with his chin tucked under and his little forehead against the floor. He is warm, resting, fed. xxxx
Thankyou Birdiebudge, I certainly will do all I can to get him through this awful time. He deserves a chance to see that there is another side of life, a good, kind, and gentle side. One that is free from suffering. I want to give him that so much.
This is a beautiful young baby bird and it looks so cute and I notice that it's too soon to tell the gender since its forehead still has stripes, I will pray for this little one, he deserves to live and be alittle bird that's happy and loving, I'll also pour out my soul for this little one. I hope he makes it!
xmitanyx I promise you that there will be follow up videos. At this point in time, I cant promise they will be good, but I hope and pray that they will. Thankyou for watching, and for caring about this tiny, easily disposeable little bird. he DOES count! xxxx
