Because Pride is gone, and the UFC sucks. It's only in America, featuring mostly Americans too. And this may be a shock to the hillybillies, but the world doesn't revolve around the US.
A better question would be why the one or two actually good punchers in the UFC don't leave it to fight in more prestigious places.
@Blahb27 LOL sure why not if that helps you sleep at night. You wanna tell me Anderson silva, Jose Aldo, or Alistair Overeem aren't good strikers? MMA has great Strikers and Many that came from Striking backgrounds and translated their skills to MMA matches. And uh, theres not only hillbillies in america cuz your being told this from a hispanic
@dss103 Notice how Overeem, the best of them, is trained by Golden Glory, the Dutch kickboxing team? Besides, he fights in Strikeforce, and not the UFC.
The best strikers in the UFC wouldn't last three rounds against an A class fighter. And that's a crying shame, because the idea behind MMA was to be able to do it all, and do it well. Not to do it all very mediocre.
@Blahb27 Styles make fights and MMA is no exception to that rule. I say this because it helps explain how its MMA and not kickboxing meaning there are going to be people from wrestling backgrounds who strike like a four year old. On the flip side, there are outstanding Strikers with muay thai backgrounds in MMA who are not too great when their asses hit the mat! Shit, even M16 Rambaa Somdet (a great striker originating from muay thai look him up if you don't already know him) is in MMA now.
@dss103 future? its been around for a while now... striking arts with co-exist pretty well.. apaprt from in America, where youth swing from one bangwagon to another every second week.
Don't know much about these fighters, but Zheng hangs his head out there just waiting to get KO'd. Look at how straight up in the air his head is. Someone with power will put him on his back quickly.
what if the sanda fighters are allowed to attack after taking down the opponents. U still think those kickboxers can win in the street fight? It is all about rules
you think it is shame because he is one of the better sanda fighers who can compete in kickboxing formats? how stupid r u. Sanda fighters rely 2 much on throwing skill which make them hard to become good kickboxing fighters. It is all about rules. And check out cung lee.
Also Ive like to mention chinese sanda fighters have to get the permission from Chinese kungfu institution to compete in oversea competitions. That is the reason u dont see much Chinese fighters. Check the competitions of sanda and mhai tai which organize by Chinese and Thai.
hmm the fight is quite defensive right? Not much combinations used.

Does that dude have on shin guards?
bhowie777 3 years ago
Ryuji does. The guards are part of the spandex pants he's wearing. I'd judge them to be about as thick as your average grappling shin/instep guard.

no mames we 很明显是在打假拳,可能是收了钱做拳靶,打拳不如踢球赚钱啊,拳手靠打假拳赚外块,悲哀。。。
