You speak of humanity as capable of thinking our way into perfection, but in reality, we will always make mistakes, we will always have our moments when we lose sight of what is right. I agree, we should be able to always think and do what's right, but we can't. Without forgiveness, we crush our humanity with our mistakes.That's why we learn to forgive, ourselves and others, so we can let go of that fact, so we can try again.
In Matthew 5:22, it states, But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Everybody has the right to get angry but do it. Love is forgiveness.
