  • Do you actually teach people how to use bows-and-arrows, slingshots, blowguns, and cannons? I would want to see videos of that!

  • @SuperSeonghoon Bow and arrow, I am very good with or used to be. Its been a long time since I practiced but I still have it. As for the others you mention, I would love to learn how to make them and to use them. I know they are a big part of the ancient culture and of course, very interesting.

  • @irahshots Wth are you talking about? Balintawak is 'just a sport'. You are delusional or I am misunderstanding you. Balintawak from the 1940's till now, train for combat.

  • @fangjian ohhh really??? hahahahahah...I want to see your balintawak make it on a street fight.. hahahaha...trust me those flashy moves wont save you...but anyways can't blame you..take care

  • @irahshots :)

  • those warriors made this a form of like a tribal dance to disguise their training sessions.

  • dance

  • @airsoftkrav ???

  • What's the difference between Pekiti Tirsia Kali and Inosanto/Lacoste Kali?

  • @SuperSeonghoon Inosanto system is a blend of styles. Pekiti Tirsia is Leo Gaje's family system.

  • @RonOrGina I already knew that; when I asked what the difference was, I meant it as: how the movement and techniques of a man who trains in Inosanto/Lacoste Kali differ from the movement and techniques of a man who trains in Pekiti Tirsia Kali?

  • @SuperSeonghoon For me at this point, not to much different due to the fact I do what feels best for me. Its more about seeing various different instructors and their opinions. Even in PTK, I still like to see all the instructors that have been doing it longer than I have. I feel I get a better view of my martial art that way. I was the same way in my Kuntao as well as my Jeet Kune Do. Learning seems to be never ending.

  • @RonOrGina Thank you for answering all my questions.

  • @SuperSeonghoon No problem at all. Its how we all learned.

  • is this actual sparring?

  • @SuperSeonghoon Its one method of us sparring. No gear keeps people honest and makes for good footwork.

  • @LCstreet... The boxing that you're practicing originated from the FMA, it's called panantukan or suntukan or Filipino boxing or dirty boxing. It's part of FMA training, and it's basis is the dagger in both hands. This is fact.

  • @judoboy1962 There are many dialects so you will hear the use of the hands being called many things there in the Philippines. My teacher, Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje calls it Pangkamut. Guro Dan Inosanto calls it Panantukin but he will go over the many other words it is called from the teachers he has worked with.

  • Are the sticks during the sumbrada thinner than normal rattan sticks? I would really hate to get popped in the hand by one of my rattan sticks.

    Great work in this video!

  • @BigRoma1 We use various sizes. Thats the recommendation of both Leo Gaje and Dan Inosanto. I agree with that one. Notice when people wear gear, they have a lack in angling with the body and footwork? With no gear people tend to move and get good at the content of Kali. We use gear once in a while also. I thought it would look nice to show good footwork and angling in this video. I hate when people just bash each other with little to no footwork. Try that with a Pinute! ;)

  • @RonOrGina I want to see the carry over to real life street defence where your opponent WILL NOT know how to apply the same moves as these two people but will instead attack you in rage with mad swinging punches rapidly...i've been boxing for 21 years and it works..110%...its practical and uses quality over quantity when it comes to the aresenal of moves at your disposal. Im keen on transitioning to the Portsmouth (England) School of Martial Arts run by Jason Boh, taught by Dan Inosanto mainly..

  • @LCStreetPhotographer Are you here advertising your school? I don't understand your point here. I have been in martial arts and boxing for over 40 years and grew up on the street always getting into something back in the day. So I understand combat very well. You did not look at the 75 other videos I have here on YT? Or my web site? I think you would see much more and understand what I do better if you did.

  • @RonOrGina No, im looking for videos showing how these various arts are practical when taking on multiple attackers throwing wild swinging hooks and walking into you while throwing full spped and full power punches....im looking to transition from Boxing to the school i spoke about where they teach a blend of jeet kune do, jun fan, and Filipino Martial Arts..but so far it just seems Boxing is more effective, eaier to pick up and then drill home. It want a dig im genuinely looking to transition

  • @LCStreetPhotographer Filipino martial arts, as in Kali or Kuntao are multiman attack oriented. Most people do train one for one in Kali, Arnis or Eskrima. Look at my web site though. In Kuntao Dumpag, everything practiced is performed with the mentality that there is more than one person with or wothout weapons.

  • @RonOrGina At the School Of Martial Arts run by Jason Boh you learn a blend of combat systems including Jeet Kune Do (JKD Concepts/principals also), Jun Fan Gun Foo/KickBoxing, Grappling (from Judo, BJJ and empty hand Kali) and of course a blend of FMA including escrima/Arnis/Kali- Silat, Pekiti Tersia, Doce Pares and Panantukan.....im really enthusiastic about it feeling my experience as a boxer will only help me progress..but im doubtful of the effectiveness of those arts.

  • @LCStreetPhotographer There's this thing called UFC where several former Boxing Champions have competed and and lost terribly. Maybe you've heard of it.

  • @RonOrGina In a live street situation im not going to be faced with a guy attacking me with well executed stick attacks.if with a knfe it is more likely to be a mad lunging attack from close up...an impulse attack as it were......or im going to be attacked with mad aggressive punches.wide swinging punches etc..with boxing i have feints, ducking bobbing and weaving making me hard to hit, all the time working behind the jab and cross and using compat powerful hooks/uppercuts on the inside.

  • @RonOrGina I just want to see some demonstrations of the arts im going to be taught being used .where the practitioner doesnt know whats coming at him.....as we do in boxing when we work the mitts....the coach counters us unexpectadly and at full speed with the Focus Pads..we weave and duck these and then counter powerfully..this is what i want to see ....at least then i can go into this knowing ..ok..this is really going to be as , if not more, effective than what i;ve learnt as a boxer

  • nice video sifu ron!

  • Fantastic video Ron! It really shows off the Kali styles taught at PSDTC. Man Chris looks great! And I see you are growing out your hair to almost hippy length again lol .

  • @angelettidrummer No, during the Ginunting fight, my hair got short again. :))

  • Goodtimes Ron

  • After seeing all the fighting videos of youtube with linear footwork like a karate point fighter, this video takes the top. The footwork is amazing with all the angles that are supposed to be in FMA's are here. Good to see someone learned correctly. FMA's are getting watered down as time goes on. I have to admit, its crazy seeing you guys with no gear at all going all out like that. Maybe thats why you guys have such good footwork? You are not into to taking a hit? lol, I can see why.

  • @styxfighter Thank you for the appreciation of my hard work in Filipino martial arts. I am very proud of my students in this video. I can see I was successful in creating good fighters.

  • I like this sort of training... Great !

  • by far the very best video I`ve seen from you in a long long time! great job!

  • Awesome !!!!

  • I like this music the video is pretty nice too
