i really like it. i got a stealth though... same year and all that mine isnt the best looking but it started as my second car and it had a rod knock long story short it now has about 350-400 hp with out turbos about to get one. and doing some body work myself its blue with black accents wish me luck with the body.

I recently decided to rebuild my 97 3000gt Base model. My plan is to start performance and work my way out of the engine bay to visual customization once it has the power to back up the look. Any ideas on some upgrades I can do that are low cost power gains? More than likely I'll keep it non turbo..... for now.... so I'm focusing on strictly engine parts, no forced induction or nitrous. All help is appreciated, thanks.

@deathcrayon Who cares about displacement? That seems to be the only argument v8 most guys have either that or it MUST BE REAR WHEEL DRIVE ( and I actually drive a v8 now). This whole displacement issue really needs to be dismissed. There are multiple ways of making a car fast. For street cars these days displacement really isnt the end all be all anymore. Race cars different story but STREET cars like this one it really doesn't matter much.Different cars, different techniques, same goal SPEED.

@niceprince hey just out of interest arguing aside whats the most you can come for a FWD car? I want to do a engine swap on my celica vvti with a GTFOUR engine which is 250bhp. Im getting a full suspension kit but I'd like an ECU remap (so it spits flames) and a bigger turbo with forged pistons. I was looking at 400bhp would that be to much on FWD?

@deathcrayon age old concept but if you go out and venture into a world wheres theres imports you will SEE the displacement factor dismissed.. theres hondas that can kick a real world v8 camaros ass.. i witness this type of stuff on a daily basis..that made me change my mind about the whole DISPLACEMENT ASPECT. my philosophy on this is power-to-weight..that alone plays a major role in performance too.
