  • A Siouxsie está sensacional....

  • i love this song, very 80's, lot of energy and passion!!!

  • One of their best songs in my opinion.

    TWIST AND TURN BURN BURN

  • I'm getting tired of seeing Katy Perry's preview on the side when i try to look for this song..

  • @iamdeeplytrying When her face popped up at the end of this video it almost killed my mood.

  • R.I.P. John McGeoch.

  • Happy Birthday, Siouxsie! 5/27

  • Siouxsie Sioux was , correction...IS light years beyond, in a myriad of ways....TROUNCES over all the rubbish thats being funneled forcefully into our ears today..

Gimme Siouxsie (The Glove/Creatures), Xmal, Malaria, Bauhaus etc...ANY DAY!

  • Long live the Ice Queen!

  • One of my faves. They do fantastic, unexpected chord changes that just send shivers down my spine.

  • OMG....I FUCKING LOVE HER!!!

  • ETERNAL FAVORITE 0:50-1:00 wow. Also 1:35-1:55 Happily we shiver, happily we shake. Oh SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE!

  • Lol, something I've never noticed... watch McGeoch almost get incinerated at 2:30

  • Message to Lady Ga GA!!!!!! THIS IS SIOUXIE SIOUXE. DO NOT even TRY to copy her.

Siouxie And the Banshees were and STILL are Original and Unique. They copied no one. SIOUXIE is the Best.

  • Long Live Siouxsie !!!! Cease from bringing up emo & metal garbage in here. This music here is NOT burnout music!

  • EXTASYS!

  • THE QUEEN OF GOTHIC MUSIC!!!!!!!ISIOUXSIE FOR EVER!!!

  • I love how Siouxsie's hair flows at 1:53

  • @Daffneyfan

I rewind that part soooooo many times, I love how she moves her head from side to side, totally hypnotic.

  • Why does any time that i type "Firework" the first thing that poped up was Katy Perry?

This should be the first on the list!

PEOPLE THIS IS NOT ROCK, METAL OR NEW WAVE THIS IS SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES!

    DEAL WITH IT!

  • @strellitha12 I know, this song is so much better and has more power than Katy Perry's songs

  • I have come to accept that I am 'emo' and gothic. Any questions? Ask away and I shall try my best to answer them, but because these sorts of things are so diverse, it maybe hard for me to give you a straight forward answer.

Live On Children Of The Night!!! (That includes anyone who is into the darker side of life and music)

  • Jeez just looking down the list of comments. Why all the derogatory, arguments and such? Just because some one likes S&B and not Korn or Slipknot, or vice versa does NOT mean theyre a fag or what not. Just means their taste of music is different! Punk, Rock & Roll and so on IS NOT dead and I believe it never will die! And before anyone starts bickering again about emo, emo stands for emo-core or emotional hardcore. It isn't the sort you probably think it is! What is emo today is more scene!

  • the 10 people tht dislike this are all fucking retards and have no concept of music . SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES ARE ONE OF THE BESR BANDS EVER. idiots

  • Which came first, this song or U2's New Year's Day?

  • Still got the single. In a double folder. Mint.

  • this EP came with LSD on the sleeve...Eat the sleeve was written on the the end of the album play and Blotter written on the other side.

  • Siouxsie introduced me to a vocabulary, poetry, and energy that I never knew existed as a high school student. Nothing stands the test of time like them.

  • Hey guys, Slipknot and Korn are about to become classic rock before you realize it, so it is Ok not to make fun of them today. It doesn't make you anymore cool to say that you started listening to this stuff 25 years ago versus 15 years ago. It's all equally dated now.

Rock is dead and becoming increasingly forgotten, so you guys should just accept it. It is not coming back. For better or for worse, we are now living in the age of pop music.

  • @gstephensmith You seems like a total no life fag... that dousnt know any thing abut music and dont care about the society!

Slipknot korn just as system of a down and other hate ( METALL ) not rock.

Is made to ern money on stupid children that only wants to provoke ther christian parrents by looking dark hail satan and dress likea escaped prissoner from a coal mine..

  • @sebbeweiwei why is everyone talking about emo and hardcore metall or what not is it even relevant cant you just enjoy the song?

  • Best firework related song IMHO.

  • hallucinogenic drugs? anyway, this song is so much amazing that I just can't find words to discribe it, best songs with hong kong garden

  • I just want to say 10 people are douche bags.

    That is all.

  • @slmuse They're probably 10 stupid Korn fans.

  • One of my favourite Siouxsie songs.

  • Happy 4th of July!

  • The Banshees have alot of amazing songs, but this is definitely my favorite one and will always be. Brilliant <3

  • Budgie ,Severin,Mcgeoch,Siouxsie..........best banshees line up.

  • @heavydutydudes Damn straight !!!!!!

  • Today May 27th is Siouxsie's birthday! Happy Birthday Siouxsie!

  • Love love LOVE this shit. Amazing woman and band...

  • Amazing song!

    Thanks for posting this

  • Damn Siouxie was bad ass back then!!! too bad I missed it back then, but I was 10 and this wasnt on the pop charts back then, well on the casey casem top 40 anyway.

  • I think this one track single handedly created The Cocteau Twins sound. Am I right or am I right?

  • @emile235 No, you're neither right or right - you're wrong. This was released in 1982. The Cocteau Twins were formed in 1980.

  • @brunosis Did it occurr to you that The Cocteau's only found "their sound" in 82?

  • @emile235 yeah, funnily enough it did. Fireworks released in May '82, Garlands released in June '82 - Rob and Liz turned that baby around in super-quick time - good work.

  • Watch Siouxsie move. Body movement = emotion. Work Siouxsie!

  • One of the Best Bands of All Time.......FACT

  • goddamm

  • Is this the original lineup?

  • @chasingparkedcars No, Budgie and John McGeoch joined the band after Kenny Morris and John McKay had left.

  • @TheCryOfTheBanshee Ahhhh. Thanks!!! My albums are all mixed up. I LOVE this song!

  • @chasingparkedcars No, the original line up was: Siouxsie on vocals, Steve Severin on bass, Marco Pirroni on guitar, and Sid Vicious on drums and that line up was for one gig. Then for the rest of the 70's it was Siouxsie and Severin with John McKay on guiatr and Kenny Morris on drums.

  • @Jakegothicsnake.... and what a cool looking line-up they were...even if the latter 2 did do "a runner". The above line-up with Budgie and McGeoch cannot be topped in my humble opinion though.

  • The best looking band ever....These four...so gorgeous...

  • One of their best songs, after Obsession.

  • Someone can tell me what is the bass used by Severin in this video?

  • Could it be a Hamer or a B.C. Rich ? Or maybe Washburn ?

  • @Bronzecaster67

Or maybe a Larrivee too? To Severin the hard question...

  • Wonderful stuff. I just don't get tired of listening to the Banshees - & this is 33 years after I first heard them! Guess that makes me a bit weird...

  • @MrScorpionfish No you are not a weirdo. But Genuino

  • Swooperb doesnt get much bettter than this

  • Wow, 1:43 PRICELESS

    She looks great there. =)

  • One of their best! Love it, impressed me for life ;-) Already in my favourites and 5*****!

  • brilliant track!

  • Does anyone else hear the Cocteau Twins' Garlands album sound here? Fade Siouxsie down in the mix and I think they sound very similar. The quick notes on the bass (and the higher ones), the shrill mid-range guitar, the beat.

I guess the Cocteaus took inspiration from the Banshees.

  • Probably the best lyricists ever! Who else can create these amazing lyrical images?

  • pixi sounds a lil dixi

  • Comment removed

  • twist and turn burn burn burn

  • What a kickass video!

  • bought it when it came out absolutely love it !!!!!

  • This song still sends sends shivers down my spine played very loud on my stereo. 1 of the best bands on the planet.

  • this is a very awsome track i lve this song alot.. it means so much to me.

  • Siouxsie And The Banshees are so under rated but thats what made them soo dam good <3

  • @akumatiti underrated are you fuckin serious?

  • @emile235 yeah

  • @akumatiti

LOL! Underrated? What are you smoking? They were massively popular through out the 80s and influenced so many new "indie" artists that have followed from the 1990s to today: Bat for Lashes, School of Seven Bells, Austra, Goldfrapp, Tricky, Florence & the Machine, PJ Harvey... it's a long list.

  • one of their best singles....and often underated.

  • RIP JOHN THE GEMINI BEST LINEUP MISS U ALL REUNITE BANSHEES Make a tour in AMERICA come to SAN ANTONIO Texas iM DIEING TO SEE you

  • San Antonio?!? Pssshh, why would they ever come here:/

  • i know i just said i wish theyd come

  • a beautiful man and my favorite guitarist ever -- I credit this song with me surviving sixteen years old

  • My Favorite part: 1:30-2:00

..and all the while we wear a party smile

    R.I.P

  • GREAT !!!!!

  • siouxsie and the banshees-yesterday, today,forever!!!!

  • One of their best song! Really good!

  • One of their best music vids besides Dazzle and a few others.

  • Excellent - up there with the likes of Spellbound, Christine & Love is a Void

  • one of my absolute favs....thnx 4 the post

  • what glory in alienation....and those underdubed background vox. one of their very best singles.

and who needs jump cuts when you've got the ignition of fireworks.

  • greatest siouxsie song!

  • I agree this song gives me goosebumps. :D

  • A great song...:)

  • even after 25 years its STILL ahead of its time.....brilliant!

  • god...this deep rythm is following the movement of my mind..

  • In a word....ICONIC!

  • One of my fave siouxsie song ever. To put next to Feather-Oar-Blades by Cocteau Twins which takes from it.

  • I read that and listened to Feather-Oar-Blades - what a great track! Thanks for the heads up!!

  • Stupenda musa.

  • Mind you, this "out" word IS based on a picture taken with Pam Hogg. Nothing based on fact but fantasy, which she willfully seems to enjoy creating and why I like her and the music. I guess after divorcing Budgie the fag flag rumours flew. Doesn't mean she's necessarily gay and Budgie IS so sexy.

  • budgie is so sexy...sexy band

  • i'm amazed by the way they make that blissful poetry fit so flawlessly into that magic music...

  • jmcg rip

  • first song I heard by them and probably my favourite, beautiful lyrics. Great vid too, though the guitarist looks so corny staring into the red light ^^

  • woot.

  • Great song and vid!

  • haha im naked!!! P

  • absolut adore the lyrics!!!!!!

  • Siouxsie looks so beautiful in this vids... i didn't see her in pic recently, i don't know, im goin' search more... i could cover all my walls of my room with pictures of the Banshees, The Cure & Bauhaus...

  • Siouxsie, Peter Murphy, Robert smith= deities

  • Right about that, there is No One in the current music scene who can compare or even have a tiny amount of creative talent or charisma like Siouxsie. Peter Murphy and Robert Smith, great company...now we would be in a dream world.

  • don't forget morrissey!

  • some of us (younger generation) love siouxie and robert. i got into them when i was 17 im 25 now i still look for anything on them. i have about all their u.s. albums from vinyl to cassete to cd. looking for the kiss me, kiss me, kiss me bonus orange vinyl that came with the album thats has charlotte sometimes, found the double album but it wasnt in it.

  • awesome song

  • Too bad this never dented the U.S. charts... :(

  • Arhhh....I'm ashamed to say I'd completely forgotten about this song. Corker.

  • this is the fav track from my ex-couple... brings to me very nice moments

  • Awesome track. One of Siouxsie's best singles.

  • she can still spank me anytime

  • Great, again an amazing work coming from Siouxsie and the banshees.

I love them!As i love Bauhaus and Sisters of mercy!

  • So gawth of you

  • Hahahahah! XD

    Uber-goffickal.

  • i need the bass tabs for this. can anyone help?

  • the bass and the speed of this one is great

  • Amazing.

  • i love this song too

  • I love this song

  • Siouxsie opened with Fireworks at the Hammersmith Odeon back in 1983 and fireworks this show was, from start to finish. Amazing!

  • can imagine sage playing this on radio x GTA:SA shed prop say Siouxzie + banshee are the greates Band in the world and if you dont agree please die

  • By far one of my all time fav Siouxsie songs. I LOVE Siouxsie and her Banshees. My fav 80's band. I used to idolize her when I was in high school. Had the hair, the clothes, used to go to underground clubs that played new wave and post punk..those were the days. Some of my favorite memories.

Siouxsie was and will always be a Goddess! She still sings hauntingly beautiful and looks awesome! Her new solo album is amazing!

  • how do you do her hair??

  • I had the hair too in the 80s. My hair was thinned and cut into layers. Then, lots of teasing, styling gel and Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine hair spray.

It took about two hours a day.

  • mix french with english

  • Crimpers - Lots of frantic back-combing - then tons of hairspray - It worked for me back in the early 80's - Now I have paid the price :)

  • Bald now?0o

  • He he - If you are alluding to that pic on my page, I have to say that this isn't me. Its my friend

Although now, my hair can dry in less than a minute

  • I agree i miss those days of under ground clubs. So many fond memories.

Though i still dress and dye my hair even though i am in my 30's LOL

  • ahhh to dye my hair black again!!! I don't think I could get away with the makeup and the hair with my profession...but i really really miss it! i look at the "goth" kids now and think how different it is. We definitely would NOT have shopped at Hot Topic to pay that kinda money for those clothes!!!

  • those are just "mallgoths" there are still some genuine babybats out there that like 80's goth music and dont dress like they're retarded

  • @Bluedevilspd13 Haha, well I don't know one real "goth" who shops at Hot Topic. Emos do. Hahaha...

  • @Bluedevilspd13 Its sad huh?..... There is no such thing as goth kids these days....

Just Fcl´s that tryes to be special..It feels like no one really cares abut the music any more...

If u ask a goth kid today they wont even know what bauhaus is...

And if u ask them what ther favorite goth band is... they will answer : Slipknot!

And if you ask me Iron butterfly is more goth then slipknot!!

No one knows what real goth is anymore... so dont blame them for shopping at hot topic..

  • @sebbeweiwei to tell you the truth i hate that store i only went in that store cuz my sister draged me in there and a time after that cuz there was a cute pair of shoes in the window and if you ask me i think it is emo they don't even have a pair of new rocks in there

  • @maxy525 Fcl and emo are werry different things.... Fcl = Facion core losers

    Emo = emotive hardcore

The thing here is that people cant se the differens.. They call it all emo... and they dont even know what emo is...

Im sorry but im just getting angry at that... you ofc meen that it was a pair of fcl shoes.. couse a real emo wuld never shop at a place like that :)

  • I'm soon 40, a Siouxsie fan since 80 and I am the funky f/t social worker...yay for old skool

  • One of my all time favorite songs period

  • Period.

  • Way back into 1982, huh? I bet that Siouxsie Siou chic is pretty old by now, huh? But I bet she's she's still pretty hot for her age, like Mimi Rodgers. Sure, Mimi Rodgers is over 50 by now, she's she still looks good.

  • Siousxie turned 50 last year, May I think. She still has a great figure and doesn't look too bad I have to say. Saw her last late 07 on Later with Jools Holland playing tracks from her first ever solo LP.

  • One of my favourite Siouxsie and the Banshees Songs. A fantastic driving and crackling track

    Absolute magic!

  • love it

  • British bands and singers made the best Postpunk music in my opinion.

I had a teacher at Primary School whose hair was styled like Siouxsie's big hair.

Looking back now she probably is a Siouxsie fan like me.

  • McGeoch-era Banshees - their best period, almost every track a classic, one of the greatest bands I've ever seen (4 times in 1980/1981).

  • crazy crazy good, but don't light fireworks near siouxsie's hairy. too risky! haaazzzzardous.

  • her music & voice will always remind me of really good drug trips & being at the pinnacle of youth.

  • dude, totally!

  • Quite simply a brilliant song. I first heard this song on the radio whilst driving down a dark country lane on a starlit night. Still the best way to hear this song is on a starlit night.

  • This song is fantastic, absolutely mind blowing...

  • Yeah, it definitely changed my life a little bit the first time I heard it!

  • All that hairspray and fire...dangerous man, dangerous,

  • Actually, one of the techs from this video ended up with some bad burnage on his face from a misshap with one of the fireworks. Very dangerous indeed.

  • I luv the bass line.

  • so fuck'n brilliant

  • thats abit deep....
