@EponymousKid I love Kari Wahlgren, her Haruko is one of my favorite roles, I just think she was miscast in this production. I haven't seen the japanese language version of this series, so I have nothing to compare, but I was hoping she'd sound more like the movie version of Saya.

@EponymousKid The movie has its flaws, but I recommend watching it just the same (The animated one, I mean, I haven't seen the live action remake.) Saya is incredibly badass in it, and in the series, they went for a portrayal that was more fragile than the original, which could've been nicely contrasted by giving Saya a deeper voice, more reminiscent of her original voice actress.

the chiropterans stopped looking scary after the first two episodes. The later ones shown much later on look very fake and odd. Their snoutes are more round and they don't look anything like the ones in episodes 1 and 2.

i watched an anime once that was made in the mid 80s to early 90s. it was set in a futuristic tokyo or something. it was about some kind of vampire disease outbreak or something. anyway, there's this one part where a group of cops are running down this alley way and there is this girl holding a toy bear in her hands. when one cop goes up to her to see if she's alright, she blasts him with the toy bear and starts running around killing the cops.

@law8139823 Yes, it is an excellent anime. There's lots of action, blood (duh), and some romance. Oh, and it's really sad (not because of the romance). However, unlike a lot of other animes, you have to analyze it in order understand and fully enjoy the show. I hope that helps.
