  • I've tried this, with many types of connections, with no avail. I get very dim IR LEDs. Any helps? I've tried a few combos, one usb, two usb, two usbs and 5 volt wall adapter, 12 volt wall adapter... Can't really get anything to work, and I'm currently broke, so no buying a wireless sensor bar...

  • 9 volt but what ampage from the adapter? 1AMP?

  • @FalconEvo3 i was wondering the same thing.

  • Why does my sensor bar not give off light

  • @kapugen23 It is Its infared light point a camera at it and boon the sensor dosent sense but just gives off light u could have two candles, torches, infared LED's anything that gives off Infared light.

  • SOLDER...not sodder

  • get a wireless sensor bar some people r stupid

  • you could just have bought 2 candle

  • you kinda sound like kermit the frog...

  • @kingali4life didnt even realized it until you told me :D

  • @MarioFanLevelz lol, yeah i thought it was funny.

  • a wii can brake your tv but a wii cant brake your projector

  • kinda freaky

  • No not at all

  • So he connected the phone wire to the sensor bar.

So what happens when someone tries to call him?

  • sry to tell you but you hurt the environment anyway by using electricity which is mainly made from burning coal, but anyways. thanks for the info. you did help. just wanted to tell you that little bit of info.

  • wow that made so much sense to me....nnoooooooot

  • hey u know u can set up 2 candles or flashlights under the projector and the wiimotes will pick it up as a sensor bar. really works

  • that's cool but the only bad thing is they're kinda distracting. I tried it. :)

  • i dont think holy water is flamableso SHUT THE HELL UP, ZORA200

  • You are an absolute disgrace to humanity that needs to be killed with fire and holy water. that was a response to someone elses comment or are you just stupid? you fail

  • zora200, didnt u pay attention? he said it doesnt reach that far, in term needing a wireless one, he didnt want one, so he used a power outlet -.-

  • dudefaciz asked, "wtf is so bad about batteries"?

Well, for one thing, batteries have a tendency to run out just when you want to show off your Wii. Also, the wireless bars aren't free, this is.

  • mother fuckin retard sensor bars connect to the wii dumbass and besides i use a wireless bar just batteries and turn on wtf is so bad about batteries and ur using fucking electricity

  • Mother fucking retarded son of a bitch who needs a life badly

  • what is sauder? please reply

  • Solder is used to attach electronics components together. It's like welding for electronics.

  • do you leave it plugged in all the time if you did wouldnt the lights burn out in a few years

  • huh?!? u need bateries for the wii sensor bar to? i thought all u do iz hook it up to the wii.

  • yes,but some people build wireless ones that work with batteries.

  • You don't need batteries unless it is wireless.

  • he ment he doesnt have a long enough cord on the sensor bar to reach the wii and he doesnt want to buy a wireless, or pay for the batteries... wait... why doesnt he just move the wii to the plug next to the sensor bar?

  • because the projector is at the back of the room hooked up to the wii

  • ahh, i get it! thanks for clearing that up for me ;3

  • get a wireless sensor bar

  • hey where can u get a soldering tool?

  • what do i have to do to my wii for it to work?

  • nothing

  • Good job dude, i used a $ony power supply 6 volts works a treat :0 and at least i get to use something of $onys as most of there stuff is shite.

  • Glad to hear a couple of you have tried it yourself. Way to go. As mine's been moved around a lot, it's not always making a good connection anymore, but I just mess with it for a second and it's back to normal. To the person who asked, I read that the proper voltage is just over 7, but I used a 9 volt and these guys used different ones... As long as you don't blow up the LEDs, you're good... they can tolerate a lot.

  • I really works!!!! In 10 minutes I had my very own A/C adapted sensor bar! I used a 5V A/C adapter from my portable CD player, and then cut the end off. After soldering the 2 wire ends, I pushed them into the end of the sensor bar's plug, with some electrical tape in between. Using my digital camera as a guide, I wiggled the wires untill the IR lights came on, and then secured them with some more electrical tape. Thats all I had to do.

  • what is the rating on the power adaptor 9volts and how many amps?

  • all i heard was..and so sooso os and so so..blablalbalbalbal ..then...WIIIIII

  • will the voltage kill the sensor bar?

  • Lol very clever!! I loved the"weeeeeeeeeeeee" at the end. "I Win, I Win!"

  • LOL, someone needs to calm down. Thanks for the instructions, Alon. Clever... Love the show!

  • hey im thinking of buying a wii but i have a projector and i wasnt sure if it would work could you plz send me a message with the instructions and materials i need .

  • I pretty much gave all the instructions in this video. It's really that easy... There are two metal connections inside the sensor bar connector. You just have to make the wires from an AC adapter touch those connections. If you can't do it on your own, you shouldn't be trying - just buy the extension cable when it comes out.

  • mowalon helps you and you insult him for answering? screw you

    thanks mowalon

  • Nice bit of info there as I too run a projector in my home cinema and really wanted to play my wii on it without cables everywhere, I'll be nocking one up later!

I agree that if somone cant follow those instructions/use a soldering iron then they should wait for an extension cable or get someone else to do it.

  • I love chatterbox!
