I still like new Dubstep, but that's me, I think, that people who are pissed off at the new Generation of Dubstep, grew up with the old Dubstep, but it's the new generation, Dubstep has moved on... Every music genre is doing the same... Music is music, no matter what. I like all music, why, because I don't give a shit if Beethoven is classical music, I see it as music, that is enjoyable to listen to. We have so many battles in this world, why do we have to battle about music?

Unfortunately all Music evolves, but Dubstep has evolved in a complete wrong way, it's not Dubstep anymore. The beginning of this video is what I look up to, the best producers producing the best sounds, now it's just ten year old sitting down getting presets and making them high pitched!

there really are newer dubstep artists that are good. you may not necessarily LIKE them, but like, Datsik, who i think started around 2008, is really quite good as a PRODUCER. pretty consistent sound, very regular, but not "brostep"y. if you don't like his sound, that's ok. but, i think there are actually quite a few newer producers who i think are pretty fucking good, and some of you might too, if you havent given them a chance.

@nikelover1994 Skrillex does electro, house and dubstep, its just the only songs that got popular (Scary Monsters, In for the Kill remix, Cinema remix, etc) were his dubstep songs. I'm not too crazy about his take on dubstep, but I like his electro songs (Reptile, being an example). I wouldn't say he's ruining dubstep, I would just say people need to learn to classify what they are listening to. Blame the idiot fans, not the artist.

Old School Fan- Rather than acknowledge the growth of a genre, that I've witnessed in motion. I'll ignorantly judge and complain about lack of appreciation, and associate ourselves with music, as if it's ours.
New School Fan-This is great music, let me look for more. Since I was exposed to the genre after it's "change" I'll get newer stuff when I search for more. I'm liking this genre, let me go back and see how this started.

@nikelover1994 Skrillex does electro, house and dubstep, its just the only songs that got popular (Scary Monsters, In for the Kill remix, Cinema remix, etc) were his dubstep songs. I'm not too crazy about his take on dubstep, but I like his electro songs (Reptile, being an example). I wouldn't say he's ruining dubstep, I would just say people need to learn to classify what they are listening to. Blame the idiot fans, not the artist.

I like every single song in this, new and old. The only thing that bothers me is how ive been listening to dubstep for about 2 years (i know thats not long, im not saying im a dubstep master or anything) and its really become a big part of my life. I make dubstep now and listen to it 24/7 i listen to all types, new and old. But now everybody at my school and on facebook are discovering skrillex and saying they know more about dubstep than me, and they dont appreciate real dubstep.

What really annoys me is how newer Dubstep catts all its sounds off Jump Up Drum and Bass then you get kids calling jump up DnB "Drumstep" or "sped up Dubstep" ...I much rathered Dubstep be associated with its roots in Grime and Garage than Drum and Bass... and now even pop, techno and Electro... makes me want to vomit... Dubstep is some backwards genre right now... Had no time to evolve naturally like DnB and genres before it... Obviously due to the Internet. Fuck new Dubstep.

I couldn't even get the energy to bob my head. I am a huge fan of dubstep, a lot of Skream's old stuff like 'wibbler' but the new dubstep isn't bad just cause it's new. Emalkay, Flux Pavillion, Doctor P, all these guys have 'killer' tracks.
