Recently I attended a "Konfirmation" ceremony in one of the historical churches in Hannover, Niedersachsen, Germany. I just could not believe what I was seeing there in front of the altar. A Menorah, about 20 foot high. Those 14-year-old boys and girls performed the rites at the entrance into adult Christian life under a menorah.
