Seiken Densetsu 3 - God-Beast Dangaard

Dangaard was my second God Beast and so far the hardest- First I did Xan Bie, who was pretty easy, and 3rd I did Dolan, who was surprisingly easy except for the fact that he hits pretty hard...Now I am trying to figure out who to kill next...Fiegmund? Mispolm?

Apart from casting, what exactly is it that Dangaard does to attack? It's not really obvious at all what his physical attack is supposed to be.

What do you guys call hard? I think i was about lvl 21 with Kevin Riesz and Angela. And beat him without too much effort. I defeated Dolan at lvl 26 while all other players have a party higher then lvl 40.

There are loads of action-RPGs out there. It's a whole sub-genre. I'm assuming if you've played this you've played Secret of Mana? If not, you really need to.

Just beat Secret of Mana 2 weeks ago, started this immediately. I'm like 16 hours in, about to fight Dangaard. This game is better (IMO) than Secret of Mana. I think it took a lot of the little annoying things from Secret of Mana and fixed them, like your fucking allys getting caught behind rocks and having to go back to get them to follow. That was a huge improvement IMO. This game is deeper, very innovative for it's time too with the class changes and upping your stats. Legend of Mana is next!

This is the hardest God beast for me yet..I have a team of all girls probably why. The reason it was so hard and long for me is cuz of the battle scene switches since my girls rely on stat ups and sabers it was BRUTAL for me cuz each time the scene switches (which looks FUCKING AWESOME BTW) you LOSE all stat bonuses and sabers UGH, so fuckin annoying.

But the rest of the bosses I tear through cuz I got Saber (specifically on elemental days) and AGI,STR,INT/PIE up on all girls = GG.

I've always wondered why Duran can use Sabers in this battle despite having to stab his sword into Flammie's head to do so.

you used the same strategy as me, use the molebear claw, but you could try earth coins too :D

One of the most visually impressive 16-bit boss battles ever! The Mode 7 is in full effect here. Great stuff.

Um... hey, idiot. That isn't Mode 7 that makes the background scroll. Anyone can make a looping background of clouds easy on the SNES. Mode 7 is only for the pseudo-3D parts.
