Several YouTubers have sent me classified information: WTC7 was designed with a "quick release" mechanism such that if any of the supporting structure failed, the entire building would drop simultaneously. This was a safety feature because WTC7 was built above an electrical facility and also contained secure government offices. The designers wanted to avoid a partial collapse: all or none was the goal. Imagine support beams positioned like "knee joints" with struts to fold them all together.
