  • This looks like the Avon to Hawthorne yard local. They seem to always use 2 SD40-2's as power on those trains and the cars usually consist of the same basic thing...mixed freight with a lot of boxcars, hoppers, and your every day gondolas and tank cars. You easily mistake the train as an actual road freight and I know I did for the longest time.

  • I don't mind YN3, I go nuts i9f i see it on a C40-8 but other then that it looks good, all i say is also long as you know the history of the loco, Thats all that needs to be known :) the CSX GP38-2's that are in my yard, ones off the NYC, the other's Chessie :) both in matching YN2

  • That's pretty neat. And yeah I see what you mean. A few days ago I caught a YN1 SD40-2, so that was quite a nice thing to see

  • a sd40-2 i think nice 5star

  • Yep, and thanks

  • Glad to see another YN2 SD40-2. Personally, I hate how CSx is repainting a lot of their GP40's, Road Slugs, and SD40-2's. Nice job!

  • i hate the skinny font the use on the numberboards now

  • Thanks and ya everything is being repainted now. In my mind, it gets rid of a lot of history

  • Looks like someone's found a new location! And that same horn again! Awesome SD40-2's!!

  • Yep those are very nice to see and that horn seems to be everywhere. And only thing is about this spot is the telephone poles and it's a pretty rough area
