I can only speak from my personal experience, but the list of people that Mal has done the exact opposite of ripping off is extraordinarily long, and having seen Mal's capacity for generating cash quickly by selling, I find it hard to believe Mal would need to be 'funded' and even harder to believe he'd rip people off
Trouble is with you is you never thanked the people who really funded you, did all the thinking (because it wasn't you) and the people you have ripped off over the years.
