  • all this controversy about Dime's tuning... Not meany people can tell you EXACTLY what his tuning was on the CFH album. it was like 1 1/4 step down or somthing of that nature. its heavier, dirtier, and makes that much more METAL

  • dime didnt play drop D. he played D standard.

  • @richogem Drop D is much easier to tune to. It doesn't make sense for me to tune all the strings down when there aren't that many songs that you can play.

  • @donlonton253 arent that many songs? do you only know two songs?

ALOT of pantera songs, are in D standard. NON in drop D, and alot more in E standard (ofcourse, always slightly flat).

drop D and D standard? its a difference of feel, vibe, tone, and playing style. its a total different thing.

and even if there were NO songs in D standard at all, cant you just play paranoid or whatever song youd like alone in D? sure you can.

anyway i only pointed this out if people want to play it like dimbag did

  • @richogem its actually not d standard. he went to d standard the a quarter step down to get the sour sound. or just e but all down a quarter step down.

  • @bringerofplagues1213 therefore i added the -- "(ofcourse, always slightly flat)".

it wasnt nesecary to my point to point out how flat exactly.

  • @richogem haha yeah but alot of people dont understand how ti tune to pantera so the specificity of it was to help people

  • @bringerofplagues1213 i see...

  • sick riffs! cheers!

  • awesome job man !

  • Riff only with downstrokes pleasy!

  • that is an awesome cover! thanks for the tab too bro!

  • great - awesome playing

  • pretty nice

  • beginning sorta wrong. nice though

  • Thanks. If you think any part is different let me know. I spent a bunch of time listening to is slowed down too. I figured I would post it to help out since there's really no good tab for this out there.

  • i hear it go back and forth between the first and second fret. same progression. great job on the solo. closer than any of the tabs i ve looked up

  • Almost perfect tab man... Damn, I should have watched this before sittin' for like 5 hours listening to the song slowed down...

  • @Shredsomemore no.. you built your ears up and learnt from it..
