  • Gay? Not on your life...you can't put two and two together!

  • you are amazing but you have to learn how to cry its the best thing when you watch movies the feeling and evrything i almost never cry for sad parts of the movie but when its happy - sad moments i am all tears and hey you have to see that the fields of dreams thats one hell of a movie :D thanks for the vid bro

  • you've never seen old yeller?

    omg.

  • One.

    True.

    Thing.

But you shouldn't take my word for it, because it might not have the same effect on you.

  • Of those movies I have seen Steel Magnolias, Ordinary People, Titanic, Life is Beautiful, Kramer vs. Kramer, Old Yeller (a looong time ago), Ghost, E.T, Brokeback Mountain, It's a Wonderful Life (my fav movie ever), An Affair to Remember, Bambi and Terms of Endearment.

Other tearjerkers for me are The Lion King, The Land Before Time, The Neverending Story, The Lord of the Rings, Parenthood, All Quiet on the Western Front, Dead Poets Society, Forrest Gump and Four Weddings and a Funeral and more

  • how about

    My Dog Skip

  • you have got to want to shed a tear in freedom writers.... and to think its a true story

  • well you like dogs then IncensePeppermints68 and thats cool:) also dude ur cute:) great list too

  • Your not gay man, fuck all those haters

  • Million Dollar Baby

    The Patriot

    Cinderella Man

    A Walk To Remember

    A Beautiful Mind

    Braveheart

  • I still think Shawshank Redemption kind of belongs there

  • I would like to add PS I Love You to this list and also Disney's UP! and lastly the Green Mile im sure there is more everyone has their own opinion

  • That's a very small list, but a good one.

Did you know there are two movies with the sane title. Ghost. One is staring Demi Moore and Woopie, the other is a sad comedy that you might consider for your TJ (tear jerker) selection, it stares Bo Derick.

  • Glory is an awesome movie. I'll admit I cried when Shaw died and when they were singing by the campfire, I clapped right along with them.

  • You did not cry watching Life is Beautiful or Titanic, but you cried with The Return of the King... Oh well you are adorable :)

btw Prayers for Bobby and For a Lost Soldier are top tearjerkers for me :'(

  • titanic isnt sad. Old Yeller is sad, Marley & Me is sad

  • Return of the King is just a 3 hour tear-fest. Sure, there a couple of sad bits in Titanic and Life is Beautiful, but Return of the King is emotionally overwhelming all the way through,

  • p-please d-dont hurt me

  • Crash has an intense scene.

  • Btw I've seen all of the movies save for Old Yeller and (believe it or not) The Notebook. I cried in maybe only ten of them. :) Of Spielberg, one recent work that moved me (maybe it's those buttons) is AI. If you liked Cinema Paradiso, look for The Mission; it also has a sweeping Ennio Morricone score. Of recent films, one that really touched me was Sideways - and it's a film that I think can be defended beyond those buttons. Shyamalan? Yes, I'm flaming you :) Try Brian De Palma.

  • I have. :-p

De Palma is pretty Hitchcockian though, like Shyamalan is in Signs in particular, but many of his other films.

  • The Mission! Yes! Wonderful movie, wonderful score and very tearjerky.

  • You're very charming. The list is very subjective (as what list isn't?) Tearjerkers are usually movies that push certain buttons - some very "universal" and some cultural. Off the top of my head (which is brimming with wine at the moment), I can suggest a couple of films which I hope you will check out: The Way We Were, The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg, Sunflower - a very underrated Vittorio De Sica film - these are love stories, and the epic Sansho The Bailiff by Kenzo Mizoguchi.

  • how the hell is ths shawshank redemption a tearjerker? your weired

  • i tink i am in love with your lips and your eyes and expressions, am i in your love

  • sophies choice was an extremly sad movie if you havent seen it go and see it

  • The ending to The Green Mile-proper tearjerker.

  • The Lion King?

When Simbas father dies? Massive tears when we were all younger

  • When we were younger? Massive tears still for me.

  • here`s a suggestion:

    The Color Purple

    And

American Beauty is a great choice...

  • you need to watch the note book..

  • I have, actually. I liked it a lot, a good romance film. Actually my favorite of the genre is Numb.

  • honestly, the notebook isnt sad, its cheesy

  • If you guys want a tearjerker (I'm baffled why this movie is never brought up when people talk about sad movies), watch Dangerous Minds. In the youtube search engine, type in "Dangerous Minds Part 9" And watch the video. (It takes about 3-4 minutes to get to the sad part).

  • I agree... the final scene in "Shawshank Redemption" is one of the best moments ever filmed.

  • Masculinity fail.

  • a man can cry during a movie, everyone cries, its ok.

you sound like one of those cocky high school jocks, asshole

  • plzzzzzzzzzzz tell me the name of the most tearjerker film u evr seen

    i also wants to cry ; )

i never cried on a movie but i want to

  • outsiders is the saddest film ive ever watched i criedd! soo much

  • i haven't seen ET... guess that makes me abnormal?? :O

  • Yes, very much. :-p

  • haha, thanks ;D is it that good??

  • omg

    hey, im where you are

i search up these movies that are tearjerkers

    but when i watch them

    i dont cry

do you have any other movies that you cried when you watch them.

the green mile and titanic are my top two tearjerkers

    please reply

  • I can't think of any others right now, give me a couple of days and maybe I'll think of something. :-)

  • alright thanks man :D

  • Will you marry me? Hahaha.

  • Deal! :-p

  • ;-) Yes!!! :-P

  • I am with you on M. Night. ;) he is unique and I love that. I am a big time movie buff and for some reason the movies I take to more are the tear jerkers.... Steel Magnolias I was watching tonight actually... on youtube.... its how I saw your post! =) I'm going to look up Paradiso now, thanks for the suggestion.

  • i knew it. broke back mountain is 1 of his favs so i was right when i was thinking this brit is def a gay

  • Brit? :-p

  • lawl

  • seven pounds

  • TITANIC!!

  • what do you think of the Passion of the Christ if you have seen it? (regardless of religion)

  • it's long time since i saw it, but i recall thinking that it was a very beautyful and sad film and also scary. i thought it was incredible how jesus kept induring it all with all his faith.

maybe i should watch it again i think ;D

  • ok, as to my last comment-just delete and ignore that...

  • Have you seen life is beautiful?

  • Nice job, you're very entertaining.

You really should watch It's a Wonderful Life, Ghost, and Field of Dreams, though.

  • i totally agree that the shawshank redemption is a tearjerker..i cried at that movie!

  • Reign Over Me- Adam Sandler My favorite movie in the world

  • Reign Over Adam Sandler me My Favorite movie

  • why don't u response this vid to peron?

  • It was a response when I posted it, but I see it isn't anymore. Maybe he took down the video or something.

  • if i am to make my own list, i would include Moulin Rouge.

also, Ice Age... yeah, seriously. it made me cry^^,

  • City of Angels !!!

    so sad...made me cry...very good!!

  • You're funny. If you want to laugh out loud watch Big Bang Theory on CBS...Agree with you on Spielberg and Shamalayn. Best writing for a film...SIXTH SENSE.Nothing could ever top that. Go back to your movies and watch It's a Wonderful Life. add 2 to the top 25...Shadowlands & PS I love u. if you really want an emotional experience FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. One minute you're laughing and the next crying. I felt like I'd been through a trauma when I walked out of the theatre.

  • You are so cute !!!...I love watching your video..its not a tearjerker though but I really enjoyed the way you make faces ...hahahha...keep it up dude!!! You will never know who's gonna fall in love with you....hehhehe

  • To the list in your description, I would take OUT Brokeback mountain and put in ''Beaches''

  • has anyone seen the filmm Beaches i cried at that u ave 2 see it

  • Ive seen it its the only film I've watched that I've had tears in my eyes!

  • i cried in Marley and me

    :.....(

  • me too. i was looking for a top saddest movies videos that had marley and me in it.

  • what about the green mile?!!!

  • you really have not watched enough cinema you discount so many for not seeing them....you call yourself a film guy....get a life... Watch some of the older stuff...stretch your mind a smidge

  • I'll just copy my reply to the previous guy who said that:

"Yes, I've watched everything from silent German sci-fi films, to Kurosawa, to Tarkovsky, to classic American movies from the '70s. I've watched 190 of the IMDB's top 250, most of which are made before 1980. But I always favour Shyamalan and Spielberg.

Get your head out of your ass, stop judging, and go back to minding your own business. You've officially confirmed your status as a simple-minded dumbass."

  • the sadest movie ive ever seen is A walk to remember

  • to kill a mockigbird a time to kill

    the note book

  • the notebook

    the champ w/ ricky schroeder

    tokil a mokcingbird

  • if you people didnt cry watching braveheart the scene where he didnt say mercy to save his life you guys are tuff LOL

  • pretty much every movie makes me cry, its pretty pathetic

  • Did you see Grand Turino? That was a tear jerker for me.

  • I think you're adorable also :o)

  • tearjerkers are bambi and old yeller and where the red fern grows... try other side of the mountain too...

  • terminator 2? where is that one???..was it on the list? made me cry....

  • ok not bitching or anything..but you dont have green mile in your 25? comon dude

  • Dude you ovbiously dont date all that much.

  • saddest film ever forest gump

  • im actually suprised thats not on there

  • You should watch Imitation of Life with Lana Turner. IT's a classic movie, but a very good tear jerker. I like your video commentary and if I must say, you are absolutely adorable. :)

  • there are two movies that I remember made me cry - really. Armageddon and Steel Magnolias =)

  • major tearjerkers i would recommend are 'i am sam', 'bridge to terrabithia', 'a walk to remember', 'Edward sissorhands', 'rent' and 'the notebook'. these all make me cry.

  • somewhere in time.........watch this film it is beautiful. the music is so deeply moving. the characters are wonderful.

you know the film carie (horror) does anyone who has watched it cryed at some parts?

  • ive been watching the movies you reccomended thru out the week! amazing one movie you MUST watch is called"where the heart is" its about a pregnant teen who gets abandoned in an oklahoma wal mart i woke up turned on the tv i was looking throught the channels i rerad the title and da description and at first i thought it was stupid but its a VERY goos film
  • I love The Joy Luck Club.

  • other good tearjerkers are Rory O'shea was here aka inside Im dancing and Stand by me.

  • In your video you said you want to cry there is this movie no one cant seem to find im telling you it will make the most cold hearted killer cry. its called "the cure" its about this young boy who has aids and he befriends his neighbor well you'll have to see it its hust sooooo said

  • other tearjerkers "I am sam" "Instinct" "whats eating gilbert grape"

  • I think as you get older, TH, and you gain more life-experiences, the sad parts of many movies will relate to you more, and you'll experience more chills and thrills. (and maybe tears) I see movies and think of my children, and it brings emotions. I'm talking movies like "Incredibles" even.

  • i still think 2 of the saddest movies are titanic and the champ. the champ is probably the saddest thing i've ever seen

  • I would say two movies I could think of that I think should be on the list would be "Raising Helen" and "Step Mom"...those movies make me cry everytime..without fail!

  • someone already said click and yes that movie made me cry, in fact it still makes me cry, but it was awesome how ur feeling really sad and then ur jolted out of it with the guy from grandmas boy (cant remember his name but i love him)... also Con Air, at the end, makes me cry and so does Armageddon at a few different points.

  • well there were a couple of films that l heard about but never new them... well l´ll try and watch a couple.one other tearjerker....the Champ...l have not watched i but l did watch a scene of it on youtube and could not hold back my tears ... check it out...and just give me your response.its kinda old.. 1979 but great

  • What Dreams May Come. IT Should Definately be towards the top of the list and it wasn't even listed

  • wow there is alot of very popular movies u have not seen. i mean steel magnolias old yeller feild of dreams, and dare i say ghost! wow i mean wow, thos are great movies terms of ederment that is a great movie too! i love sappy movies my friend and i alway make a day for it we get a movie and order comfort food and sit in my bed and watch...lol but u need to get crackin on these movies u didnt see yet!

  • I totally agree, I mostly focus on old classics or the newest movies in the theaters, so these films which doesn't really fall into either of those categories get neglected. But they're on my list. :-)

  • Please avoid obvious big budget studio mass money movies as tearjerkers...they so often try too hard and are watered down from original possible good screenplays.

PLEASE everyone see a French ! black and white ! film made almost 60 years ago by the Red Cross!! called Jeux Interdits, watch till the very final scene...if you dont have a tear in your eye...then you are not human.

  • glory sucked i say it at school really really lame!

  • how did u not find titanic sad

  • yeh i know how u feel lol people say i look like Robert Deniro or Al Pacino it gets pretty annoing sumtimes. i just came across your vids today and im glad ive finally seen sum 1 who knows as much about movies as me my life evolves around them haha

  • does any 1 else think he looks like Tom Hanks

  • I don't know why, but people keep saying that! :-p

Tom Hanks, Tobey Maguire and Tom Cruise are the actors I look like the most according to most people. I don't see the resemblance to any of them myself. :-)

  • yeah im liek you . i cnt cry in movies.. and im a chick!!!! lol..

  • you should add "the Last Samurai" to your list. that is one of the Saddest movies ever. i've seen it a million times...but i cry everytime I see it. I bawl like a baby everytime I see it. i can't help it.

  • Flowers for Algernon, (charlie main character)

    huge tearjerker ! beautiful movie.

    cried there too much.

bambie, ya... i cried when i saw that movie.

the rest, some seen but didnt cry some didnt see and some dont remember.

  • if you havent seen them, why are they on your list?

you should add edward scissorhands to it. its the saddest, most beautiful, most touching movie you will ever see. i cried every single minute of it. and at the end i totally bawled!

  • Not my list, the AFI's list if I remember correctly.

  • oh ok nevermind. welll if it was YOUR list...

  • I stumbled upon Bridge To Terabithia one day... cried for prettymuch half the movie!!! But I cry at all kinds of movies! I was a faucet during WALL-E!

  • i thought it was messed up wen they made her die i was like this is a frickin kids movie!!!!!!!!!u CANT DO THAT!!!!!!!!!

  • thats how it went in the book

  • well thats even more disheartening

  • OOH shyamalan's my favorite! you rule. I love Shyamalan's works

  • bridge to terabithia made me cry

  • add i am legend, click (the ending), big fish, and a walk to remember

  • click made me and my cousins cry heaps!

  • well missed some i think but stil pretty cool video,i like your accent.^^for example i am legend the ending wasnt that emotional for mebut when the dog died i really cried my eyes out.then also my girl cant really describe it but very sad and brilliant movie.well forrest gump of course.and from my childhood lion king(still makes me cry) lassie and this movie with the two dogs and one cat who leave their hom or something..well by the way im 15 male and from germany wtf^..

  • homeward bound? the cat and 2 dogs movie.

  • you havent seen old yeller?

    i loved that video.

    its a classic!

  • I totally know what you mean

  • aww you missed pearlharbor :( thats a very emotional film but i agree with this list also! =]

  • Seen the Green Mile? Very strong sad emotional film! Anbefales!

  • i am sam should be on dat list!

im only 12, and the 1st time i saw it was yesterday even though i knew it came out in 2001.

i have extremely sensitive feelings, so the scenes that were meant to be sad, i must admit, did make me sentimental deep down

  • Where is finding neverland!?

  • You haven't seen Ghost? Dude, check that one out. Still a classic. And I can't believe you saw Shawshank yet didn't mention Darabont's other feature, The Green Mile. When I think of saddest movies ever, it's always the first one I think of. If you haven't seen it, watch it as soon as possible. You won't regret it. And here's two very depressing movies but maybe not tearjerkers, "Angela's Ashes" and "Requiem for a Dream"

  • where you from? you seem to have a slight accent.

u should see Kramer vs Kramer and Sophies Choice, theyre good.

and i dont know why Schindler's List isn't on there...

  • Ok I'm a 15 year old girl and this is what I think of this vedio.

ok I Can't cry in Titanic it makes me laugh. I know heartless. Did not cry in E.T ither don't know why. Thrusthamaster, you just have to see brief encounters common who dosn't cry in that. I was only small when I was Baby so I didn't stop crying for a week. Ohh and why isn't Saving Privat ryan on this list I mean my dad even cried in this and I hadn't seen him crying befour in my life. And also My dog jack. Is that it's name?

  • im a guy and i ball my eyes out :} call me wat u want but it means u have a good heart

  • a walk to remember i cry all the time

  • oh wow killenwolf what are dudes not aloud to cry you your not human if you dont cry lemme guess youve never cried before CAUSE YOUR A MAN !!!!!!!! "grrrrrr im so strong and manley cause i never cry rawr"

ps. just for the record i am a dude

  • You haven't seen it's a wonderful life???? and you have it?

  • i think the saddest movie scene ever is the end of pay it foward when the boy was killed i was so angry i just watched the entire film and that cool kid died

  • i know i own it! it is soo sad!

  • Dude....Terms of Endearment is THE tear jerker movie of all time, no wonder it's number one! (you WILL cry)...as is Brians Song, Old Yeller, Kramer vs. Kramer, Lovestory and even An Affair to Remember....you gotta CHECK THEM OUT!!!

  • Okay, I will have to see some of those movies, I don't think I have seen many of those myself. Although, I have seen some of the ones you suggested. I LOVED SHAWSHANK REDEMTION! Great film...anyway, thanks for your opinion, I will add some of those movies to my list.

  • this was so painful to sit throguh

  • get another jod....... you dont know nothing about movies

  • lilya 4-ever is the most tearjerker all time trust me.. but not much people know this movie.. but this one is the best u should watch it.

  • I'm so embarrassed for you. If you've only seen 7 outta 25 of these films, then you have no business speaking about the movie industry. How can you call yourself a true movie buff if you haven't seen "Steel Magnolias," "Longtime Companion," "Ordinary People," "Stella Dallas," "Love Story" or "Kramer vs. Kramer?" And you say that "Titanic" WASN'T sad? Please. All opinions are relative, of course, but seriously ... you have no credibility. Maybe you should just sell shoes.

  • Why would I sell shoes because I haven't seen a few movies? The tearjerker genre isn't my type of genre, I've seen thousands of movies, just not this kind of movies. I've seen 191 of IMDBs 250 best movies of all time, and I've usually seen the majority of films in any "best movies" list, so I think my opinion matters in this case.

Go get rid of those prejudices of yours and come back later.

  • Why have u not seen ghost yet?

You definintely have to watch that film.

  • You should watch Old Yeller...especially if your an animal lover. It's the saddest movie Ive ever seen. ;[

  • ok i was hoping to see tear jerkers buthe said that titanic was not a tearjerker and yes it was ok i was so pretty and who could not cry in it !!!!!!:)

  • You know what never makes it on the last? Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I bawled through most of it. It was AMAZING...

  • my favorites are the following:

    the notebook

    sweet november

    sleepless in seattle

  • There's a movie that gets me every time. "The Color Purple". I'm sobbing all over the place at the end. I think the end is on youtube somewhere.

  • Damn. Titianic.... just makes me want to cry talking about it. Steel Magnolias, MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER!!!! What is the point of this? 7/25??? Jesus.

  • Damn how could you not seeee old yelller?

  • I cannot believe nobody has put the scene from "crash" when the Locksmiths daughter gets shot...I well up every time....

  • you have a cute accent. are you german? and you look cute too. and yes, it is perfectly ok to cry or tear when watching tearjerkers, that´s why they are called that!

  • who hasnt seen ghost?? nvm e.t

  • HAHAH "it was italian...but i thought it was very italian...but i havent been to italy so..." douche

  • Im amazed that My Dog Skip isn't on there. That movie always makes me cry

  • grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • you are fun to watch

  • u hate other films, yet u seem to love brokeback mountain. ok....

  • You know ror a movie blogger he haven't seen many movies.

  • Have you seen the one movie where theres a guy trying to get people out of jail, and at the end the sargent thinks he's raising the flag upside down so he shoots him but it turns out it was right side up ?

  • hey radio was pretty sad.

and a lot of forrest gump scenes.

  • Gotta add Rudy to that list my man

  • it's called catharsis buddy

  • =]]

  • OH YEAH, I strongly want to add: My Dog Skip, and Legends of the Fall. Def Legends of the fall

  • Idk.. films hardly get to me. They have to really strong films in order to get a response from me as in tears. Mine that have ever made me cry are: Seven Years in Tibet, Gattaca, American Beauty(idk, the ending had so much reason to it/maybe that was enough), Black hawk Down, Gattaca, Man on Fire, Blood Diamond, and Crash.

It seems like theres several more but those are the only ones I can remember

  • if you like crash you are a mental handicap. I cannot possibly imagine how retarded and moronic one has to be to like this cheap piece of shit trash. die stupid bitch!!!
