The problem with the actors if they had been 10-12 years old, is lack of experience, the actors would have been in the start of their career and therefor not as good as the ones who are 16-17. The time limit would also be a major problem as children are not allowed to work as long as teens- young adults- adults, and that would cause the movie to be delayed with a year or so.

Jake and Pierce are good as Luke and Chiron actually, Ellen Page is a good choice for Thalia, Emma is okay...not bad, uh Nico is 10!!! Selena shouldn't be Bianca...Selena should play more of those high school movies, Victor and Dionysus...uh no
