  • My Nan died of Breast cancer last year. I was determined to do the race this year. I'm a guy and I've just found out that males are banned in running this events? I'm gutted now, but I still don't understand why we're not aloud to participate in these charitable events? Whats the difference aside gender? It still goes towards the cause and that is whats most important at the end of the day.

  • there are mens events too arent there? My son took part in a runforfun which is an all male event.

  • @Partinquonk - 2 races in 1? As I said last week ...

Anyone who wants a mixed sex race is free to organise one if enough others want to participate.

You are paranoid if you think I was looking at your channel in order to attack you. Quite the opposite in fact. Just seeking to understand you.

This WHOLE ISSUE I regard as too trivial to waste anymore time on. You can see what I think IS important on my own channel.

AND I'm just repeating things I said 4 months ago (see below).

  • @duckbiter Hi, I observe you invited the person who disagreed with you to check your own channel to see what you think is important. I note that you find it acceptable for aggressive bullies to attack singers. Please justify this.

  • @IWearAGreyCardigan You'll have to be more specific.

What exactly are you referring to?

There are probably 100 videos on my channel.

  • @Partinquonk

"The RFL people had to go on TV begging for entrants" - That's you sad spin on a simple informative ad.

Your deep prejudice and your patronising tone make me think you are an ignorant child who has much to learn.

If and when you acquire some maturity, please reply.

  • @duckbiter

Caps are for emphasis. Spare me the sarcasm.

London Marathon is clearly two races in one. There is usually a death when some poor bugger forgets he should stick with the fun runners.

    >>Your reply must contain more than two words, and one of them can't be 'arse'.

Such a comment as this would usually lead me to dismiss you without further thought. I looked at your empty channel, nothing.

This is my last reply unless you say something more interesting than your comment below.

  • @Partinquonk

I am indeed generalising. When discussing identifiable demographic groups (ladz&chavs, feminists, misogynists), what other way is there?

The London Marathon is older and mixed sex. So what?

"funds have been halved" MY ARSE. Many of these women would not compete if it was like the London Marathon. This women's event is TOTALLY UNCOMPETITIVE. And that's what so many men can't grasp.

    IT'S NOT ABOUT WINNING.

Your petty criticisms of such a patently worthwhile event are shameful.

  • @Partinquonk

These are probably husbands, boyfriends, sons and fathers of the runners. Younger single UK lads are not generally known for respect and decency.

And why on earth shouldn't females have their own race. The pink clothing make it look quite a spectacle and it has a less serious, fun atmosphere. Men would turn it into a competition to win.

Anyone who wants a mixed sex race is free to organise one if enough others want to participate.

  • @duckbiter In the SAME way that you are generalising in your fascist thread, @ a guess I would say that you are a femanist lesbian who is anti MEN . Your comments, ( like these,) are OUT OF ORDER on so many levels. Legal action is being currently taken against Cancer UK, & hunnyford. re this RFL event on the grounds of gender discrimination, & GENDER SEGRIGATION. This cancer affects males/females young & old alike. Yes, you biggot , In the USA they have RELAY FOR LIFE a family event.

  • @duckbiter A group of HM Forces guys raised £11,000 for help for eroes AND Cancer UK, Due to ""Lesbian Marshals"" @ a RFL giving our brave boys a hard time, that money has now gone to another charity. Cancer UK is/has shot themselvs in the foot on this one. The ECHR will make a decision in strasberg on Cancer UK enforcing such rules. Men also suffer from breast cancer as well, As for your comment on respect & Deceny, Your a fool,(((( or a Lesbian.))))

  • Think its sexist?? Get your facts right, if ur a guy, do 'Man on The Run' *noodle Neck*

  • Race for life is in no way sexist. It is an event which is different to other events by giving it the 'women only' theme to it. There are plenty of races just like this going on all the time people could enter. The fact its all about the pink and 'girls day out' is the reason it is set apart from others so appeals to groups of friends and girls. There are plenty of races around for both sex's. Anyone who thinks this is sexist is silly and needs to get over themself.

  • Sexual Discrimination in its foulest form!!!!

Cancer research funds halved due to petty sexism.... "Sorry fellers, I know its a really worth while cause... but you have a Penis so we dont want youre fund raising support cos youre not as good as us!"

What? You'd rather have people continue to die from this horrible disease than have males take part????

    Utterly ridiculous!!!!!

  • My Nan died from breast cancer in 1983, but I will not give a penny to this SEXIST STUNT, which is another ploy to divide the sexes.

What about a MENS-ONLY race for testicular cancer?

No thanks : it's all together or not at all.

I have MS and would be LIVID if we had two seperate events divided by sex.

Utter sexist, divide-and-rule method of controlling you.

  • @duckbiter

Like I say, not so much a campaign as asking a simple question about a meaningless rule for an event. Sure I could do that, but even still, I'd do it another way.

But even still, it's their loss- they're costing themselves thousands in money that could potentially be provided through male participants and those sponsoring them. That, and it serves no purpose- all it does is reinforce the stereotype that only women can be caring and supportive.

  • @RobotwarsKing

LIKE I SAID - include men, and many women will stay away = no increased revenue.

LIKE I SAID - men are aggressive and competitive, women caring and supportive; recognizing that these are useful generalizations, but have many exceptions. Evolutionary biology is responsible.

Having to keep saying LIKE I SAID means I have no more answers to your *simple question*.

Basically I think it's a stupid question, and you should find a more difficult and meaningful one to ask next time!

  • @duckbiter

You know, it's hard to take your little war game seriously when you're trying to call us out on something that you're actively doing yourself. It's pretty much a case of the Pot calling the Kettle black.

Besides, how can you assume that having male participation will drive numbers down? That's almost as ridiculous as automatically assigning personalities to people according to their gender- that's far more sexist to both genders than anything you're accusing us of.

  • @duckbiter I take it that your husband, boyfriend, partner ( male) left you & being a card carrying lesbian & a """female""" who loathes all men now clearly suits your new found life style, As for women being caring, DONT TALK UTTER BULLSHIT many are far, far , more hardened than men will ever be, you biggoted idiot.. Some guy, must have really done a number on you to have this much hatred. Best you ""Follow your own little yellow brick Road, Friend of DORITHY""

  • @RobotwarsKing

Sex differences are FUNDAMENTAL ever since evolution junked asexual reproduction in our ancestral line.

Gender discrimination is *natural* and unavoidable, and most people recognize this. Go to any sports center or playing fields and you will see all-men teams and all-women teams. Sometimes mixed teams. People please themselves, and to call it sexism is crazy. Argue your point with them and see what response you get.

Have your own race. Invite men only, women, dogs whatever!

  • @duckbiter

Besides, how can you assume that when you don't even know any of us? Even if we were gay, that's nothing worth insulting us over, like you seem to think in your deluded little mind.

Besides, the colour scheme is only pink because of the meaningless single gender involved, and if male participation was introduced, other colours and items could potentially be introduced and used alongside it.

  • @duckbiter

It's not so much whinging as it is a reasonable question. If anything, you're the one who's whinging, BAAAWING about some people raising a valid point.

And the second point? Throwing capitalised insults around at people for speaking doesn't make you look tough or cool. It just makes you look like an illiterate idiot who gets their kicks from trolling people. Besides, we're perfectly entitled to an honest opinion, so if anything, you're the one in the wrong.

  • @duckbiter

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot I was on Youtube, where a statement of opinion is a declaration of war, and the GIFT is in full force. Go and troll somewhere that's not here.

Also, internet tough guy act or not, that's a terrible thing to say. You obviously haven't heard about what Cancer is really like, so wishing it on someone you don't even know is even worse than what you're accusing us of. Shame on you.

  • @duckbiter this stupid argument will go on forever won't it XD

  • @duckbiter yet another meaningless post. WHY???

  • @THEATRYCAL

IN WORDS OF ONE SYLLABLE ...

"Why do you want to wreck this run?"

If you can't understand that, you are beyond redemption!

  • @duckbiter more posting XD aren't you tired of doing this meaningless crap

  • @duckbiter ok how bout a truce, will that make you happy? I really hate to do online arguments there absolutely meaningless :/

  • @THEATRYCAL

Merely justify your original statement, or admit that it was mistaken.

None of us, least of all me, is infallible!

I just need to understand the vehemence of your disapproval of this event.

  • @duckbiter more posting, this never gets old does it xD, i also notice your argument with robotwarsking

  • @duckbiter i just sent you a vid on why this event is wrong and sexist. take a look and try to have an open mind about what this event really is :)

  • @THEATRYCAL

Can't agree with the video. Male/female differences are *immutably* determined by evolution, and a priori, it makes no sense to confer value on one gender over another.

In general, men are more ambitious and aggressive (they build the bridges but blow them up in wars) and women, more constructive and nurturing. In spite of exceptions, BIOLOGY rules.

As regards this event, from the point of view of a naïve observer (me), no feminist agenda was apparent.

Just a happy day for women!

  • @duckbiter wars are inevitable, humans in general have the capacity of evil (not just men) and research has shown that women are just as if not more aggressive than men. just because their weaker doesn't mean they aren't violent, womens violence is just not reported as much on the news due to FOX being run by rabid feminists. feminism never had anything to do with equality to begin with, even back in the 50's it was about female supremacy :/

  • @duckbiter wow, why the hell are you still posting here??? get over it XD

  • @THEATRYCAL

Just catchin up with all your posts, THEATRYCAL!

    Two more left, Dozo!

  • Comment removed

  • @duckbiter Troll alert, Troll alert. Leave the area. Trolls are highly contagious and should not be seen, heard, or inhaled. If you see a troll, please let him troll and do not make eye contact.

  • @THEATRYCAL

No , just go there and peacefully express your crazy opinions to the women racing for charity.

This would demonstrate more conviction and courage than you have shown so far.

BTW don't bother posting any more offensive comments on my channel. They remain there for everyone to see (including your mom). I notice no adverse comments remain on your channel. Why is that?

  • @duckbiter YOU ARE A TROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL!

  • @THEATRYCAL

    Best you can do, child?

  • @duckbiter you've never even seen me and claim i'm a child XD, troll

  • @duckbiter "don't post anymore offensive comments on my channel" XD you mean along with all the other offensive comment you have from other people, sure i'll stop posting on your channel, cuz there's plenty of others that have and will in the future post more and more hate comments

  • @THEATRYCAL

You misquote me, child. I said "DON'T BOTHER posting etc". Only to save you wasting more of your time. As you should have already perceived, I collect idiotic hate comments from basement-dwelling FAPPERS LIKE YOU (for teh lulz).

Which is why I have so many, dickhead!

  • Some of these comments make me ashamed to belong to the same gender as these so called 'men'.

What a lame bunch of moaners!

So my apologies to the girls and women involved in this noble and unselfish enterprise. The finished video says it all - you don't need them!

NEVER EVER allow these excuses for 'men' to participate in any future events.

    They are wreckers and spoilers!

  • Shockingly sexist.

  • Horrible, sexist event which I will never support and will in fact encourage others to boycott. CRUK should be totally ashamed of themselves.

  • @entreri100404 It's in favour of a charity, does that not matter? there are plenty of races in which men can take part in.

  • i've done this race three times now and i'm 13!! :))

  • @SmexualTunage96 good for you, im 13 too and ive only done it once.lol

  • I still don't get why males are banned from running in these events.

Men get cancer too, they are friends and relatives of women who get cancer, they want to do what they can to help, so why are they barred on account of their gender?

All it really does is just reinforce the stereotype that only women can be caring and supportive, and even if it's all going to a good cause, it doesn't make discrimination alright, does it?

  • @RobotwarsKing I understand what you mean, I have male friends that I know would like to do it, I'm racing for a male in my family. I used to think it was women because it was only breast cancer (note I was like 10 or something) but then found out it's all plus men can get breast cancer too, sucks really for the men. I think either let men race with the girls or have a seperate one for males if they don't want to mix it. :)

  • @daemon616 Men who have prostate and testicular cancer die in similar number as women who have cancer. Yet, women get 4 times the spending on breast cancer founds, or 8 times in uk(I've heard)
