@katkoota You're lucky. Most of the Maltese I've seen get tear stains very quickly and very easily. I think it's partly genetic. At least that's what one breeder noticed. Your doggies are adorable! 8) I hope I'll find one that doesn't tear a lot soon. I've been looking for two years now and still no luck. :(

@Munchiichii it is partly genetic. I suggest getting your maltese from an ethical/reputable breeder who works at improving the breed standard.

My Charlie d maltese has ear infection rite now =[.

He's having it for like 2 yrs or so now O_O. Now he's taking 3 meds o_O

Did Crystal or Snowy ever had ear problems?

@yanWanyan It isn't odd for maltese to get ear infection; their ears are small and hair does cover it.

Yes, both of my maltese had ear infection at some point before. It got cleared though. The key is to keep the ears as clean and dry as possible. Sometimes, certain food or the weather itself (humid weather especially) can cause infection. There are cleaning solutions bottles at some vets. Once your maltese' infection clear, I would search for a good one for regular cleaning.
