  • beeline scarf i have one too

  • I thought this was going to talk about sewing pockets onto trousers. After all, that was what they were asked. This was just a belt pouch. Those things cost les than a few quid. How about sewing pockets onto trousers cause as you said. Pockets are important. Practicality is more important than apearance! The sooner everyone realises this the better off we will all be.

  • LOL! I think it just means they sell handmade clothing made out of recycled material.

  • haha yahhh... but... if you make it yourself.. then you can sell it at a higher price due to origonalitly and time XD

  • no. if you dont' have the time or talent to make cool stuff like those designers, you can buy it from them and feel good about your purchase because you're giving money to people who are recycling and NOT giving money to corporations.

    Keep on keeping on!

  • nick form goggleburn: as for ties if you have plain ties (like the one in the vid) you can make verical stripes, then after you're done with that you could add horizontal stripes to make it cool and plaid like.

and/or you could add an applique!

    -fantasypunkprincess

  • This was easily my least favorite episode, and I've seen them all. Probably because it just seemed like a huge plug for a bunch of people's stuff. Sure, its nice to see what people are doing, but a more complex project would be cool. A lot of people have been suggesting messenger bags. Trendy, easily customizable, yet not basic.

  • Wow. Destroy a tie for that? *shudder*

  • I totally agree. Why destroy a tie for a part of a pocket you're not even going to see? Wouldn't it make a little more sense to just use some scrap of what you made the pocket out of?

  • some of your stuff is great but some things are hideous. Wheat from chaff i guess.

  • thats not very nice!

you could have said "not so nice" or "uncool" or something... but "HIDEOUS"?!?!

    ...harsh...

  • there was one episode which featured a christmas chain, made from old ties. Only a deranged and wicked mind could have come up with the concept.

  • Uh.. She said "ehh" not "HIDEOUS".

  • I was talking about kalindoscopy's comment... My reply just ended up in some random spot...

  • Aww man that was supposed to be my comment but posted it under the wrong name... grr..

  • awesome show!a couple ideas for the tie dude:he could stencil (or freehand like me) with fabric paint any sort of shape or person or words, like a biohazard symbol, a couple diamonds, etc

he could also appliqué things on, either machine or by . any kind of random shape or fabric. He can cover the tie with diff fabric. he could look at thrift stores for cool ties. he could sew a few buttons/beads onto the very end of the tie.

what i love about diy: the possibilities are infinite!

  • As always, great show!!!

  • hey thread heads!! i love ur show!! i think it's soo cool!! just made a scoody for one of my friends for his b-day and he loved it!!!

there is this jeans jacket that you showed on this episode and i loved how it looks, could u tell me how you make it?? i'd love to have one. PLEASE??? =)

    thanks ur the best!!

    caro!

  • hey dont forget there are alot of mothers watching why not do something for babies I'd love to learn how to make cloth diapers!! I know you guys probably dont have kids but you will one day!

  • Babies! Babies! Babies!

I really want to learn how to make onesies

but cloth diapers would be helpful

  • sounds good to me ANYTHING BABY!!!

  • The pocket you made was a great idea.... but the person asked how to put a cargo pocket onto pants. How about answering their specific question? My hubbie would not wear your pocket, but he does use cargo pants a lot for his work.

  • its not that hard. pin the pocket on the pants and sew...

  • What is the name of the vendor who made the felt birds and wool lace scarf? I really want one of those scarves!! Thanks. Rockin' good episode, love the pocket, I need to make some.

  • the belt pocket is sikkk

  • Nice hat Corrinne, sorry if i spelt your name wrong

  • its corinne...i think...

  • badadd pocket guys. another great ep.

  • sometimes i hate watching you guys because i always want to go mess my cloths up lol..:)

  • ok i LOVE jeans!

and do to my love i tend to wear them a lot!

to the point where they tear in the crotch area but i love them so much i dont want to throw them away! so can you plz show me how i can fix them! so am still able to wear them as jeans!

    PLZ and Thank You!

    =]

    -paola

  • SAME HERE!!!

  • Me to! I have a pair I know is about to wear out. I really love them to

  • i just patch the holes in my jeans with peices of other jeans. right now, only about a third of the original jeans are there. they're awesome, though

  • I agree with this one too! My favorite jeans have been worn to the point where they're unwearable. It makes me sad. I need to save, repair or find something really cool to do with them.

  • I dont think that myspace link is right...

  • OMG I have the EXACT same tie but mine is like lime green and black!

  • i love threadheads.

and i agree with xluvshar4everx. she said:

"can you show us how to make those unique cool messenger bags that teens carry to school these days instead of a backpack? One that is not too small and has enough room for your books plus other items. Thanks. -Shar"

  • i like that denim shrug..:D

  • omg! bad threadheads!!! cargo pants are teh awesome. as much as i love u guys, i dislike ur dislike for cargo pants

    haha

  • It's probably more because cargo pants are a *lot* more complicated then they seem, to make the affective pockets. It's more something for advance sewers.

    ~Kat

  • ya i guess

although, my second sewing project like ever, and first time using a sewing machine, i made a pair of decent cargo shorts

    :p

  • I am so Makeing thats skirt made out of fruit of the loom underwear! lol

  • didn't ypu guys already do a tie episode? Remember, for the morman guy?

  • i was wondering if you can make a video about bags . . . i love bags and most of my ideas . . ive already made them and i want something different thank you

  • The store at the beginning that was featured had a lot of over the top stuff! but it's great if that's what you're into.

I really wish you had made a response video to that guy about how to spruce up his tyes, because I'm looking to start doing some of that myself and could use some more ideas!

  • Who likes short shorts?

  • can you show us how to make those unique cool messenger bags that teens carry to school these days instead of a backpack? One that is not too small and has enough room for your books plus other items. Thanks. -Shar

  • i love those! they need comfier straps though =]]]

make magazine has a little diy vid about how to make one out of trashbags! =]

  • thanks.

  • they need a show on how to make a trench coat

  • finally someone says it

  • They share that little black and yellow scarf alot.

Lol I love when hes on the pole.

  • Ehh... the pocket... kinda good, kinda bad. Please don't buy that sort of button. It wears off very easily. Sew zipper on, way neat and classier, yet secured. ^_^

  • i wanna see a denim tie.

and i like that detachable pocket...how cute! oh yeah. LOVE the atti journals.

  • can you make a show on how to make a messenger bag pleas and thanks!

  • check out make mag. it has an episode where they show u have to make it

  • I cut up a bunch of pants to make a quilt. I couldn't bring myself to throw away the pockets. What can I do with these pockets?

  • you could sew them onto a piece of material and make a wall orgainzer to hold things in.

  • omg i love love love LOVE that idea!

i throw away so many jeans that are torn and ripped into extinction and never thought there was any material to work with left in em!

  • I'll have to try the utili-pocket thing. And who knew that one could make such a cute little skirt from panties? LOL.

  • i know that was so cute :)

  • I'm also wondering how you guys make a living. I want to make and sell my own arts and crafts, but I just don't know how I'd survive!

  • Well, people generally will pay a lot for handmade items. If you charge about $20 or $10 for every small item you make, and then more for bigger and more time-consuming projects, you could make a living from it.

  • just curious...do you all have real jobs?

  • I'd love to have my own store with lots of handmade things from myself and others. That would be so cool!

  • definitely better than the last one, compai sweatshirt was the ugliest thing i've ever seen

  • yah i wasnt crazy about it but different people like different things i guess.

  • so, if "different people like different things", it is my right to express my opinion, isn't it?

  • Wow! First comment! Cute store! I live in maine and there is no where like that.
