@QillerFox i feel that storm is a omega level mutant tho. if you just read everything she can do on marvel wiki youll see that she has to be. many of times she has became one with the elements, when overwhelmned she has became a being with lightning hair and breathe of fire an ice. an when she went out of control she almost killed dr. doom with power to rival the pheonix.

For example mutants such as Iceman and Jean Grey, Who both can essentially transcend their own humanity. Iceman can live as an elemental, even if his host body is destroyed. where Jean can live as a pure psychic entity, hence her ascension into the Phoenix.

So for Storm while she can control the elements, she can't actually become one with them.
