My airgun scope doesn't have mildots, but I shoot it so much I can compensate with my mind...... and miss half the time if the targets over 80 yards away.

@MarksmanAirHunting The graph is created using Chairgun Pro software by Hawke Optics. The program is free on their website. I have made many videos showing how to use the software, including the 3-part pigeon shooting tutorial, and a video called "Chairgun Pro Ballistics Software Demonstration". Oh - and You have an heck of a springer in that HW, congrats.

Starlings are evil. They drive off all other birds and destroy everything in sight. Also when you operate a Hunt-To-Eat policy you will be amazed at how much your food bills drop. In one day I can shoot, skin, marinate and freeze enough meat for up to three weeks. I don't want to give my money to the supermarkets when there is a feast just outside my door. A wise man gets his own food, Not pay another for it. That's my two cents.

I have a Sheridan Bluestreak multi pump pneumatic air rifle and I was wondering, I have made 75-80 yard shots on starlings before (not squirrels because at that range I would not find the power ethical enough, but for starlings that will do) what do you think, accuracy wise would be the longest shot you could make with such a rifle? I use a bushmaster 6x40 scope with the jsb exact, the same ones you use in your Edgun.
@thecoogster21 Not likely. While your gun may have the power to make the kill, it likely does not have the accuracy. That is why high-end PCP air rifles (like mine) cost what they do - because they are very accurate. If I could do this with a modest-priced springer, I would not have dropped that kind of cash. ;)
@thecoogster21 i have the gamo whisper deluxe that shoots 1250 fps with pba platinum, but the platinum/raptor ammo just sucks. im not gonna lie. i hit a dove from about 100 to 110 yards with lead, sadly it only skinned it. but i do agree with ted. the gamos are accurate with lead or steel pellets if the weather is PERFECT. if u want a perfectly accurate gun, u will have to drop alot of money.
@tamirpict Our country has become loaded with all sorts of different invasive wildlife & plant species, like what he is shooting at. These invasive species get easily over populated, and they over run all the native species that belong here. This hurts the ecosystem quite a bit. This is a great service he does. It is not a sport.

@MarksmanAirHunting The graph is created using Chairgun Pro software by Hawke Optics. The program is free on their website. I have made many videos showing how to use the software, including the 3-part pigeon shooting tutorial, and a video called "Chairgun Pro Ballistics Software Demonstration". Oh - and You have an heck of a springer in that HW, congrats.

@Skioppi LOL - no, that was a sound effect I inserted into the video. I actually said a swear word there (a synonym for "poop"). Upon my final review, I decided that I didn't want any swear words in this video, so I bleeped out that word with a "poop" sound instead. It has caused a little confusion. :)

Starlings are evil. They drive off all other birds and destroy everything in sight. Also when you operate a Hunt-To-Eat policy you will be amazed at how much your food bills drop. In one day I can shoot, skin, marinate and freeze enough meat for up to three weeks. I don't want to give my money to the supermarkets when there is a feast just outside my door. A wise man gets his own food, Not pay another for it. That's my two cents.

Outstanding! It's so refreshing to listen to someone intelligent and knowledgeable about the shooting sport! I have spent a lot of time and effort becoming very proficient at shooting a .223 and .308 in particular with handloads.
I also hate starlings and english sparrows. I'll pop one any time I get the chance. In fact I recently upgraded to a gamo (from a Wally world pump up Crossman) for just that purpose. I subscribed to your channel and I look forward to more!

i shot a sparrow yesterday it was a lung shot from about 20yrds with my new scope claiming its first kill, he flew for about 10 yards then went down. one of the coolest kills ive seen

Great info as always. thanks. btw: Just picked up a nice sporter prototype stock from non other than Steve Corcoran. my hand is too large for the original synth stock. hey,i am 11 years old and i love watching your videos.i go do a nearby barn and shoot sparrows like in this vid,but my remington vantege is getting old. how much did u get that gun for and where. it looks verry expensive and my parrents will probbably flip out when i find out how much it is. or could u give me some ideas on some pcp rifles probably .177 or .22 cal thats probably about 3 or 4 hundred dollars and is good for sparrows and starlings around the house.thanks

I have a Sheridan Bluestreak multi pump pneumatic air rifle and I was wondering, I have made 75-80 yard shots on starlings before (not squirrels because at that range I would not find the power ethical enough, but for starlings that will do) what do you think, accuracy wise would be the longest shot you could make with such a rifle? I use a bushmaster 6x40 scope with the jsb exact, the same ones you use in your Edgun.

i have a gamo shadow sport, it shoots at 1200fps with pba raptor amo and 1000fps with lead, could i make those 100+ yard shots?

@thecoogster21 Not likely. While your gun may have the power to make the kill, it likely does not have the accuracy. That is why high-end PCP air rifles (like mine) cost what they do - because they are very accurate. If I could do this with a modest-priced springer, I would not have dropped that kind of cash. ;)

@thecoogster21 i have the gamo whisper deluxe that shoots 1250 fps with pba platinum, but the platinum/raptor ammo just sucks. im not gonna lie. i hit a dove from about 100 to 110 yards with lead, sadly it only skinned it. but i do agree with ted. the gamos are accurate with lead or steel pellets if the weather is PERFECT. if u want a perfectly accurate gun, u will have to drop alot of money.

@tamirpict Our country has become loaded with all sorts of different invasive wildlife & plant species, like what he is shooting at. These invasive species get easily over populated, and they over run all the native species that belong here. This hurts the ecosystem quite a bit. This is a great service he does. It is not a sport.
