  • 0:40 Wow! The joystick is like from a F-16 Falcon

  • horrible music!

  • Can anyone tell me what that diagram on the starboard side if the canopy is?

  • @bgm1958 its his pitch indicator. What angle the plane is at referencing the horizon.

  • Its like a toy, play tag with a damn cloud!

  • I was just driving past Marana AVQ this AM Feb 10, 2012, approx 12 noon, on my way to El Tiro and saw a BD-5 in the pattern. I could not tell if it was a BD-5J or not, but it sure was a sight to see.

  • is 6'5 a good height for this thing? DAMN!

  • Dear Santa...

  • Top of my wish list .

  • No one since Jim Bede has been brave enough to try a design like this. Therefore flying remains only in the relm of the very rich, we still have the roads and the police to make sure we have no fun on them.

  • how fast can it go? (top speed)

  • @bricksquad9552 Around 300mph, I believe.

  • it's a good design but I think it can be optimized even more.

it's rational to make it small, it becomes dramatically cheaper and it still moves you in comfort. those who don't get it aren't thinking.

it's a shame really small good aircraft aren't mass produced so everyone can afford a plane.

I've even considered a lifting body config such that it can fit a car foot print and drive as a car as well.

  • "bravo il pilota bello l'aereo musica eccezionale" complimenti a flymovies

  • Where's the jet sound?

  • wonder where he keeps the luggage and toilet paper?

  • Dear Santa..

  • Nice!

  • The engine is still an APU of the 727?

  • Get rid of the music.

  • my knowledge is of little about air craft.. just came upon this video on youtube but this has a high cool factor... nice..

  • I saw one of these on ebay about 8 yrs ago. I looked into it and they call it a flying coffin. I had second thoughts :D

  • 3 mile fuel range.

  • You can actually buy a kit to build these. I am a student at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance and we have one in our powerplant shop. Tiny plane, when we work on it we can set it on the work table, its more like working on a model than an airworthy vehicle. But it is definitely flyable.

  • @armigerlives Can you eject from it?

  • @TortillaGaming I do not believe they come with an ejector seat setup... you could always make on though..... have to use a fighter jet as a model but im sure it could be worked out

  • @TortillaGaming Like most planes that are small in size, can be ran with one person, and are (average joe) civilian owned, NO. Probably costs way too much, and uses too much space.

  • I want one ! Or something close too it !

  • i have been look on buy the kit or a use one where do i look? pls respond

  • wings are too small. and pin in front look scary

  • Looks risky! I wanna fly it!!!

  • What a pleasant video, the lone star colors meeting the blue yonder and these sweet but vivid banyo perfectly match the small and agile bullet the DB mini jet is.

  • whats wid tha song country side MATIEE

  • More to come soon...great, just leave the banjo at home next time.

  • @unapro3 couldn't find your mute button?

  • @petergavel yes I could, it's in the same place it has always been.......why do you ask. two dogs fucking?

  • Wanna have it, what a fun plane this is!

  • How many mph limit?

  • The son of the Mes 163

  • yes:D

  • It's more funny than Airbus 380 or a Boeing 747 !

  • Red bull owns this jet now and you can check it out in the "Red Bull Toy Box." They guy in the video is legendary Bob Bishop and known for flying the BD-5 "Coors Light Silver Bullet" on the airshow circuit. I've just finished a similar jet and put a video on my YouTube login. Enjoy!

  • Inop HSI??? Take a closer look at 00:44. =)

  • @BenHaor It looks like the ADI is frozen. It may just be locked to keep the gyros from being damaged during aerobatics but that's just a guess. I've sat in this jet before and "Red Bull" is getting a beautiful and historic plane!

  • I'd read of this in the EAA magazines; first a prop plane and later this one...neat stuff !

  • amazing. such little material is used to build this. you could fly around the world in this as long as you stayed over land to refuel and service the engine. you could build aircraft like this perhaps even lighter new technologies occuring. perhaps a smaller cockpit that fits the pilots like a glove or shell to reduce drag. if you were to have the pilot lie face down you could make it even thinner and smaller. we have the technology

  • Leaving on a jet plane - Sophie Barker

  • @flymovies john denver is the only person I could ever stand singing that song

  • Song? =)

  • Damn that's a small plane.

  • lol i tought it was rc

Looks awesome! and that engine is really small

  • man i have fun with this plane toy all day in the sky me and my friends can do airshows .

  • Where can I get the info on such a man?

  • there is a man in eastern north carolina who can make these in carbon fiber from molds he owns.

  • @circusboy90210 Oh really ?

  • @circusboy90210 What's his name, does he have a website?
