Does anyone know more about the production of this? Was it done at UPA's commercial studio in NYC? And who are the talents responsible for its direction, design and animation? I recall seeing this (and later recording it) from WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA when they viewed it once in the 1990s.
I'm from the J-town area and WJAC used to play this when I was a kid...back in the late 1950's. I emailed them to bring it back, but never received a response. What a great memory of long-ago Easter Days when the weather was "nice and warm!"
them 50s was a classic time

I don't think I saw this short before. Was this song written by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, too?

The station didn't produce them, the music company/publisher for these titles did in the early 50's.
Hardrock, Coco & Joe/Suzy Snowflake/Frosty were the Christmas shorts. Later, Peter Cottontail was produced.
Please check out the full history/copy listed for each short.
