When i made the folder with the pic named Bg.png and i clicked the Generator and its like "Its not named right" or something, so i tryed diff. methods and its still not working! how can i fix this?
@MissNenuchi don't put it like that BG.png but like that little latter bg.png hope that will fix your problem i can't use it i don't know how to set the setting for the folder out put when i try i get the folder you specified must contain bg and png thing ohhh don't fprget to put 2 of those (\\)
well well don't worry about that i have another problem now i know how to make animator but the part that i put on the background stay at the bottom why maybe i don't know how to set the canvas
hey , i figured out everything and the system animator and player thing and thnx for replying :D , but i was wondering after i saw this video , how did you overlayed the anime player with effects of Media Player?
@doorOfSouls Well, when you set the gadget opacity to anything less than 100%, you can overlay it over anything on the desktop, including WMP (Windows Media Player) in this case. However, most of my recent animations already have the WMP effects integrated, so there is no need to do it in this clumsy way.
@Cabalen03 Yeah, you need to download ImageMagick in order to use "System Animator EQP Generator".
The latest 4.0.0 version of System Animator provides an alternative way to make similar animations, which requires NO extra program. ALL you need is ONE image. Check out this video for demo.
Just as the error message said, the animation folder you specified needs to contain the file "bg.png". Either there is really no "bg.png" in your animation folder, or the animation folder path specified in the script is incorrect.
I have a feeling this takes up a lot of system resources. Also scripts are evil, if you make this in C and code it so it's architecture independent then that would be impressive.
I understand that the usual programming approach is better performance-wise, but as a "gadget" application for fun, I think using Windows Gadget as a platform is quite enough (and it doesn't really take up a lot of system resources, depending on how powerful your CPU is), and scripting is more flexible because anyone can modify it for his/her own goods with a simple text editor.
Open source, man! Then anyone can still modify it. I was just making a point that if I wanted this on linux it would not work because the script is architecture specific, and the environment only works in windows.
I just like languages like C better, because while they are harder and take longer to code with, they are much more powerful, flexible, and most importantly, architecture independent (if you code them the right way).
i SRSLY thought that you were gonna tell us how to animate a picture and the results would come out like how miku is in the beginning. and when i thought that, i wuz like "WHOA, WTF?" tho, thnx a lot
The one at the beginning? It's part of the Vocaloids animation set, under the "System Animator => Extra Downloads => Normal Animations" section of the System Animator homepage.

could you make a video where you show how to get "blinks" fit to the picture, so its not just squares??? like in some of your other videos with the new system animator??? please :D

ohhh so it runs with javascript? becouse ive been tryn to program a desktop pet but dont know how
GutierrezDeVelasco 2 years ago
Yeah it's basically JavaScript, enough for a desktop gadget like this.
AnimeThemeSidebar 2 years ago
does some one know how to do that on c saving it as a exe file?
if u do please pass me the code
GutierrezDeVelasco 2 years ago
This is a Windows gadget which is basically a mini application running on the IE browser engine (i.e. HTML+JavaScript). There is no .exe form.

That's something I wanted to introduce at the beginning, but unfortunately it's not an easy task. To make those animations, you have to load the picture in PhotoShop or something like that and actually make some modifications and extractions.
