An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
With all the changes Lucas made to the original trilogy, I'm surprised he left this sequence pretty much alone. It's always seemed to me that the Falcon is just stopped in space, letting the TIE's attack at will. Shouldn't the Falcon be flying around and doing all sorts of twists and turns to avoid the fighters while Han and Luke try to shoot them down?
Now i want to see in the next special edition is R2 shooting out and blows up a tie fighter then say "Yeah, that's how we do it in MY neighborhood, bitch!"
I love the crescendo at the beginning as they are being stalked by the unseen fighters, and then the drop as they flyby over the camera as the battle begins
@baufreaker Actually this is the original^^. But I copied the scene from the DVD and the frame rate on a DVD is 25 frame/s (in europe) and a movie's frame rate is 24 frame/s. So the movie on the DVD runs a bit faster and because of that the pitch of the music is a bit higher than it was originally. In my other videos I've raised the speed of the music so that it fits to the scene.
The song itself almost tells the story without the visuals. The scene itself was exciting enough, but it's John Williams' composition for this part that made it the kickass scene it is.
My mum told me when they had this on Johnny Carson. They did the entire fight and by the time it finished the entire crowd was on its feet in applause
Great video. I know what you mean about the video not exactly matching with the music because I own the soundtracks for Episodes II,III,IV, and V on CD. This is one of the most exciting scenes in this movie next to the Battle of Yavin. Good stuff!
All I'm saying is that it had to be made cheaply, and a big chunk of the film had to be made within a week, and Lucas even had a heart condition trying to finish it.
The other two were made for about three times as much money.
Episode 4 was going to be made with 8 million dollars, but turned into 11 million.
I think there were some issues with the VFX too.
Obviously a fantastic film even by today's standards, though a bit campy, and no doubt something very special for the time.
I have that big The Making of Star Wars book which has a lot of detail, from the 1974 concert art, early posters, and goes into every detail including that one sentry guy at the Rebel Base who guess what, he's actually in a modified trash bin.
I'll have to take another look at it.
I also was always curious how they did the hyperspace effect, it's tin foil with modified color.
eeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuurrrr!

One of my favourite scenes and one of my favourite scores of John Williams. I'm glad that he reused it for the Battle of Endor.

Totally agree with you, its amazing at 31 seconds when it kicks in, is the episode 6 music slightly different though?
MiikeDante 3 years ago 2
yes, it is. That version also contains parts of the score Williams made for the battle of Yavin.

I believe you mean to say the music on the soundtrack goes faster then on the actual film.

Actually, I can remember reading about that...
Seems the founders doubted that the movie would be any good at all, so they gave Lucas himself all the rights to it.
Bet they regretted it. :)
