  • You know this is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life. the music in WoW can just take you away and make you feel so peaceful and happy. i try to explain that to my friends and family but nobody understands how magical the game really is! haha its good to read these comments and see there are other music lovers in the game, I love all of you. :) were a special group.

  • i love all the magic and secrets about storm peaks

  • I used to love coming here for HoL, HoS, and Ulduar runs as well as the Hodir dailies.

  • best soundtrack and area in WoW ever!

I had to call up to sort my details out (authenticator) and when on hold (for about 5 mins, great service btw) this music played down the phone...I melted! LOVE IT!!!

  • I can't stop comming back to this video, the music is amazing!!!

  • Been listening to songs of TBC and Wotlk for 2 days now and man it brings back so many memories.

  • This song is not perfect. It's something more than that.

  • Best music in WoW *-* ---> 4:10

  • I remember one time, I was questing around the peaks, and I had the music turned up. My brother calls out from the other room "Hey, what movie are you watching?" So I tell him I'm playing WoW and he's all like "Man! That music is awesome, I thought it was a movie!"

  • @E6DeltaGirl Cool story.

  • @E6DeltaGirl Thats happened to me before too xP

  • 4:25 - 5:10

  • 1:50 - 2:45 the best part.

  • My favorite song!!!

    Wotlk forever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NOSTALGIA

  • It's a shame Blizzard wanted to go from this to pandas.

  • @SpyreSong No it's not.

  • The last time I heard this music was in Wrath of the Lich King. God I miss those days. My favourite expansion of ALL TIME.

  • Now I never really liked WOTLK, I thought the game had become too easy, however, I was surprised to listen to such a wonderfull song like this. TBC was the best and will always be! However, in WOTLK I did enjoy some favorable moments!

  • @Olebola

The game is never too easy. And in WOTLK Storm Peaks was amazing. When tired as fuck and questing there, you couldn't tell real world from fantasy and suddenly you were in the world of the norse gods. I was completely into the game, my mind embracing it.

I'm not a game freak, just a nerd a few times a year.

  • @Flyingtart I found that the normal and heroic things were booring and longsome. I didn´t want to do the same thing just harder or easier. I found that demoralizing.

Could not have put it any better myself! not a game freak, just a nerd a few times a year. haha, loved it!

  • oh the HODIR DAILIES!!!! Takes me back, I miss Ulduar.

  • i dont give a shit if anyone calls me anything, i cried when 1:50 hit me. Could not put it into words just remembered how magnificent Wrath of the Lich king was and how i despise people who say it sucked....never be forgotten Wotlk - Greatest expansion.

  • 4:28 - 5:10 is almost the reason that this is one off my favorite musics :D

It takes me to another world -3

  • you know this music plays when calling blizzard, it really cheers me up <3

  • After listening to this vid, I immediately bought subscription time again and went to storm peaks...

Help me guys... just.... can't..... resist...!!

  • @martindemik i did the same effin thing....

  • @randyronald

The questing was quite good I thought as well. But the thing that really got me was the zones and the music. Northrend was drop-dead gorgeous. Cataclysm has it's pluses and minuses, but none of the environments had the same gorgeousness that Northrend had for some reason. Which is strange, because the music and zone art IS good, just not as good as Northrend to me for some reason.

  • 2:00 ... this is so beautiful ...

  • I just love WoW music. Always listen to this while scribbling with my mats (math major).

  • 1:50 - 2:45 enough said

  • @toyhul Get your ass up there with a thumbs up buddy!!

  • @Ashikun i feel violated :<

  • @toyhul At least ur up there! Here's another thumb! Right up the ass! Now lemme listen 1m502 to 2m45s Ahhhh yeah..

  • @toyhul u forgot 3:00 - 4:10 and ofcourse some parts after. like the harp right after is nice :)

  • @Christian69Martinez you forgot about 0:00 - 9:37... Jus' sayin! xD

  • @toyhul I love that part !!!!!!!!!!

  • @toyhul you complete me :)

  • TBC had the better raids, but WotLK had the better quests. Zone wise, i can't compare, they both had some incredible sights, sounds and ofc music so i think it would be really unfair to compare them on that one.

  • So far in my progression too, I'd have to agree that WoTLK is by far the best content closely followed by TBC. Then again I've just done lots of quests and 5-mans, no raids yet.

  • Content wise, WotLK was really .. lacking. But the zones, quests, and soundtrack were incredible. And Ulduar was less than lacking, it's still an amazing raid.

  • shit expansion, amazing zone+ ulduar

  • Best Wow place ever, wotlk best expansion for lore and zones

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

  • 4:20 to 5:00 i love that part its sooo epic :( old good times at wotlk, cata suxx

  • old memories with Storm Peaks and Ulduar <3

  • BUNCH OF NERDS

  • @IAmTheRatKing Obviously you are a nerd in the closet there champ, how else would you have ended up on a wow music page? Furthermore it would appear that you haven't really done your research, as the demographic of wow players aren't your "stereotypical nerd" like the guy from the robot chicken episode, or francis "who btw is a made up character" God back to your football, and watch dudes in skin tight girly pants beat each other up. while we will set here and enjoy this music ... kthxbai.

  • @IAmTheRatKing

    NERD IN DENIAL

  • @IAmTheRatKing Having a hobby to enjoy is being a nerd? No. Fail Troll.

  • missed, since i was low on gold when i was eighty, so i quested the whole of storm peaks, I loved it, the feeling, the atmosphere, te music ow how amazing it was! I loved wrath back then i love it even more now. i stopped playing when wrath ended, came back when 4.2 was up, and there was my character, sitting in wintergrasp, that music had a tear in m eye. i was saying goodbye to my most loved area in wow. selling my hard earned gear was no easy task... :/ i regret it all

  • Right. My thoughts, My brothers started wow when it first came out, witnessed the gong being run by the best guld in our server. BC, zul aman all that stuff. so i know how vanilla and BC felt. I joined wow in late wrath.the start of The fall of the lich king patch. my brother recruited me, so leveling was fast. untill i hit 60, outland for me. was boring. questing in norhtrend was good! but then i got a bit lazy and started farming Bgs, I regret that, so what i did was relive those moments i mis

  • I just wish I could go back and really enjoy the game, rather then just absorbing it and feeding my addiction.

I never appreciated it until I realized how this game has pretty much run its course.

    I want to go back.

  • Cata blows. Quit 2months after the launch. Raids were piss easy. No real new content. The drive just isn't there anymore. I only played about 3 months of Vanilla so I cannot accurately, nor fairly judge it, but BC and WotLK were interesting and fun. They had a lot to do with the RTS and it kept my interest. Anyone who thinks Cata is fun and exciting...keep your World of Rehash....I don't care.

  • @ProgDrummerQ Sorry but I'm just gonna throw out Naxxramas there. But you're right, WotLk was as you said "were interesting and fun."

  • @ProgDrummerQ The raids are not easy, but i do agree, cata isn't the greatest, LK was the best expansion period. I'll patiently be waiting for mists of pandaria.

  • Best music in the game. Ever.

  • Blizzard needs to make a MOVIE. It doesn't matter what its about, as long as it has music like this in it, it will be AMAZING

  • A year, still trying to get the time lost proto drake, still haven't got epic flying yet, the journey is endless, tis however an honour to be in this wonderful zone, just flying around in it, observing the scenery, hunting the proto drake while listening to this music, I guess Storm peaks has a goal in it, to get the proto drake, once you've achieved that goal, you've completed the zone, then get to listen to this wonderful piece.

  • With every Expac everyone says they miss the last which is Ironic because when the previous one was the current they hated it..

  • @ChibliCraft Thats what I have been saying! The same case with Vanilla, bet you 98.1% of people who "miss" vanilla hated it back then, cause I did.

  • @ChibliCraft Somehow i doubt people will be saying that about cata.

  • @DayFul Yeah..

  • Eoic Musik Starts at 1:50 i love this part reminds me on old good times in wow

  • I can't believe its already 2 years since i quested in storm peaks... and fell in love with the music

  • When I started looking for the proto-drake, I was afraid of how much of a grind it would become. But this music made made it all the more bearable. Flying the routes, I remember "Man, this music is really beautiful." The scenery is beautiful and the music is absolutely mesmerizing. I think even non-gamers would get completely sucked in. 1:52 to 2:45 makes you reflect on life.

  • Even in the middle of summer, it makes me cold just listening to this.

  • sons of hodir quest chain <3

  • I find it funny how at first people said they missed bc and wotlk sucked but now they are saying they miss wotlk and cata sucks...even at one point people said BC sucked and they missed classic

  • @superwowman100 Yeah right, nostalgia makes people disillusion.

  • @superwowman100 Its because of a little thing known as nostalgia :)

  • @superwowman100 That's because people always want what they can't have. Truth.

  • @superwowman100 It's people reminiscing in the past, they only remember the good things and not the bad things

nostalgia is very powerful in a game like this that's been around for so long

  • Comment removed

  • @superwowman100 You sum my feelings up, its an unending cycle of moaning.

  • @ItIsTheInvisibleMan ikr? people keep saying woW died. I mean..did it die this year too? it seems WoW has "died" for the past 6 years its been around...how many lives does WoW have?

  • @superwowman100 i feel you bra xD, people just like to moan and groan, i do about Dragon age 2 i suppose so im not guiltless.

  • @superwowman100 Fact is people read on how it "was" and believe they want that. "Oh it's too easy to gear now"...yes it is, but most lack the skill Vanilla needed...But NO ONE really wants to go back to that. Naxx 40 man? As if dodging erruptions during the Dance wasnt bad enough, you had 40 people AND he threw some of you to run a gauntlet! Plus, trash needed mass CC and this is WHEN you got a group.

It may be different but it's not "dead".

  • @superwowman100 now just wait 'til M.O.P. xP

  • @superwowman100 Lol, I said that during TOC and I knew ppl would be saying that now at this point in Cata XD, ppl want what they can't have

  • @superwowman100 it's true, but in cata they did something they hadn't done before - removed and broke loads of old content - even changed the original music, and sank auberdine! it's sad :(

  • shame this isn t HQ :(

  • love this zone, i mostly fly up to temple of storm. there i sit alone on the throne, watching the stars and the clouds as lightning clashes past them. just wish this track was there. this stupid frost giant village track ruins it all

  • @latsabb99 sad true

  • 1:52 is when it all starts, and 9:37 is when it all ends. Lest we forget, stormpeaks.

  • I hardly ever play WoW any more, but this reminds me of the good old days

  • thumbs up if you think cata sucks and want WOTLK back.

  • @EASlol Dude, i cant stress enough, i wish cataclysm NEVER existed. I started in wrath, and since i was new to the game, i was 80 by the time ulduar was out...lol...so wrath aged to quickly in the 'short' term....

  • Fuck this music... so great omfg...

  • 4:07 So nostalgic ... brings back memories of when Wotlk was new

  • 4:07 and on brings back some fond memories of GoTUR runs... Cata just doesn't do justice to BC and WOTLK as an expansion...... a lot of recycled instances and no breath taking new areas or music.... I play cause I can't walk away from a 7 year investment in my toons, but I don't think I'll miss Cata like I miss the others.

  • @TibblesandMort Vast mountain lines and waterfalls of Hyjal. Underwater tranquility of Vashj'ir. Bittersweet madness of Twilight Highlands, yet still a vast plain. Rich history of a culture in Uldum, plus new music to go along with all of it. You say they've recycled instances in Cata, yet they're planning on release content patches much quicker with Cata than they did before, which we're seeing. 4.1 out and two weeks or less until Firelands 4.2

  • @TibblesandMort when it comes to recycled content they were really controlled about it. ZA is mostly the same but that OK cuz original ZA was awesome and ZG, SFK and Deadmines are completely different. when it comes to breathtaking new zones i do somewhat agree. vash'ir is absolutely breathtaking but there isnt anything like storm peaks especially when it comes down to music. in the end i still love the game especially the 3000 new lvling quests :D

  • Cata just doesn't do justice to BC and WOTLK as an expansion...... a lot of recycled instances and no breath taking new areas or music.... I play cause I can't walk away from a 7 year investment in my toons, but I don't think I'll miss Cata like I miss the others.

  • is it just me or does Cata feel wrong?:x

  • its amazin how this music never gets boring

  • Called Blizzard - all my toons are still where I parked them...downloading the game again now :)

  • 5:24 - 6:50 all I can say is Edward Scissorhands. It always reminds me of that movie.

  • I miss WoW in general - I stopped 7 months ago (for the 3rd time) - bad thing is: I d/e all my gear, stripped my toon, emptied my bank, gave away my gold, unlearned all my skills/talents & trades....guess there's no going back now :(

    No way I could ever "catch up" again....Once a WoW-head, always a WoW-head imo.

    ~for the Horde!

  • @TBaker1964 Well... What to say. Since early Wrath, I was like: Hmm... Why not make all classes on both factions?

All my Hordies are 85 with 359 gear, and my Allies are 80 with T10. I levelled all those Allies and Hordies (Except for Horde Drood, which has been my main since Vanilla) in the 2 years of Wrath.

And if anything is possible with Cata, it is "Catching up", seeing how all zones have been renovated. Cata is THE time to jump back in, even with all those nerfs to the raids. :D

  • @TBaker1964 Just run through rfc (or any low level instance really) naked, get some gold, learn 2 gathering proffs, level those and sell whatever you get while leveling on the AH (auctioneer is good for that), Buy cata greens or wotlk blues on the AH, go do some cata quests and get awesome gear rewards (some of the rewards replace t10) from hyjal.

  • this is more than just a "song" or whatever you would have it called, it is part of everyone who played in this zone to level. I am one of the privileged few. I remember this playing as I flew over the beautiful mountains and the scenery revealed its self to me and my brother on our X-53 touring rocket. I miss the time I spent there as a level 75 warlock, now he is 85 I barely play him, those days me and my brother spent leveling together from 1-85 I must admit are some of the fondest I have.

  • I MISS WOTLK D:

  • That fact its that WoW died after Ulduar, after wich the creative team moved to the new MMO project.

    :P

  • Don't understand why pople didn't like WotLK that much. Apparently the raiding was below par but I didn't get much of a chance to raid so wouldn't know. But the questing was the best yet imo.

  • @randyronald The raids were designed so even morons could succeed and get gear. All the raids sucked except for Ulduar, which was the best raid ever created in WoW.

  • @DevoutSkeptic

is that why most ppl couldnt seemingly go further than first wing in ICC?

  • @Oromis0011 Yes, they were that terrible.

  • @DevoutSkeptic Sunwell, my friend. Remember the Sunwell. And AQ 40. They outshined Ulduar in every possible way.

  • @epicSockett How does C'thun and Kil'Jaeden, outshine a titan with the power to obliterate all life on Azeroth with a simple reply code?

  • @DevoutSkeptic Forgot about Algalon. ^^ But yeah, he was epic. But the awesomeness of C'thun is unchallenged ATM. He could not be defeated with the gear available back then, and received three crippling nerfs, after we could finally attempt to take him down. And... Remember the trash to C'thun? More nightmarish than Algalon and LK together, *Shudders* (By the way, you were talking about the importance off Algalon, but what I meant was the epicness of KJ's death and the fights.)

  • @epicSockett Right. Blizzard gave up on creating difficult encounters in Wrath, ie: The Lich King.

  • @epicSockett It's true that Sunwell was by far the hardest raid WoW ever had... pre-nerf and considering the level cap and T5/6 gear... it still stands as my biggest raiding accomplishment.

  • What kind of retard pressed dislike!

  • @TBaker1964 A dyslexic monkey without ears.

  • I left a comment a while ago, it got many thumbs and i havent watched this in a while. I quit WoW many weeks ago after playing so long because I realized that I was just doing the same thing over and over, but I can tell you this. WoW has some of the best music ive ever heard.

  • Well though the soundtracks are flawless as usual, i didnt like Wotlk that much:)

  • I would want 1:52 played at my funeral. Just to show my friends and family my own music appreciation.

  • those, who seek the secrets of Ulduar

  • Even though the content of Cata is (generally speaking of course) better than Wrath, the feeling/vibe that Wrath had can't compare to Cata. Wrath felt frozen, mysterious, dangerous? Cata lacks that so much. I miss Wrath 8c

    This is the best music

  • Yogg-saron disliked this

  • 1:51 ;_;

  • @ShipmentOfWin totally. TwT

  • @ShipmentOfWin ohhhhhhhhhhhhh my god i looked at your comment and went on the off chance this person likes this aswell and you did my god when i herd this i was like ooomg this is one of the most amazing music ever

  • I spent so much time in this zone. Every day, in Cata, I fly over here, sit on some mountain, listen to the music, watch people camp on the spots where a certain green drake would spawn. And then I would laugh at them, and fly away on that same green drake.

    Storm Peaks. <3

  • @SoulShatterable But the drake isn't green, it's gold...

  • @SoulShatterable It's a bronze drake, no..?

  • @SoulShatterable thats the time lost proto drake......

  • Comment removed

  • @SoulShatterable Green drake? that doesn't come from storm peaks.

  • @SoulShatterable um... there was no green dragon, only a bronze one? :S

  • @RizonReason wrong

  • @SoulShatterable lol your a jerk jk yeah i was planning on looking for that one too, but it takes so long to even get one of those i miss playing wow, i just wished more players actually played wotlk instead of pvp and cata areas so i can get the achievs for the dungeons in lich king and the raids too

  • the starting sounded like something from Indiana Jones O.o

  • From 1:51 to 4:09 it's the best music in the WoW's history in my opinion. I'm in love with Storm Peaks <3

  • @TheZukke agree!

  • i remember i was flying in stormpeaks doing quests and listening to some techno music, and suddenly this music started, the first thing i did,was shutting down the techno music, and while standing there in air, listening to this stormpeaks music,i just got chills and goosebumps all over my body (at 1:51)and that's the day i stopped listening to that crappy tehno music.. my advice? Keep your eyes closed, stay in a relaxing position, listen to this, and imagine yourself somewhere in nature!

  • @wowywow2436 Glad to hear that...techno music...well..I can't call it a "music" it's some kind of shitty bang bung with computers in front of them. If you want to know what real music is, it is classic.

  • everyday still in Cata, i come back to Northrend. never though i'd miss it as much as i do now. I only started in Wotlk, so its kind of special to me i think. I try to pick some of these epic tunes up each day, just because they are awesome.

and yes, magnificent how high you can fly here. i remember doing the sons of Hodir quests, and i had to kill a frost wrym. it died while being in the air, took me like one minute to hit the ground.

  • @Khaeldhoros I've been a player since Vanilla, and LK was the best time ever for WoW, I want it back every day I play.

  • 1 person is deaf and has no concept of sound

  • @Jormungrandrserpent sorry mate that was my missclick.

  • this music reminds me of the time lost hunting the time lost. sounds like somthing that used to be but now isnt like thorim

  • omg miss wotlk :(

  • @IsmoLmao We just all miss Ulduar, the best raid ever in wolt

  • Comment removed

  • from 4:15 ONWARDS I GET CHILLS

  • iv camped the TLPD for 5 months and still have yet to find it well 1 time i got it but a horde ganked me and skinned it

  • This reminds me of camping the time-lost proto-drake.

  • On the the few things I miss from Wrath is this music

  • This first song will forever give me a strong sense of nostalgia, so much it almost hurts.

  • god knows ive heard this alot from camping for the TLPD

  • this probably sounds pretty nerdy, but if i had a wish... definitely i would wish to be recreated into a titan, and claim a place amongst my brothers in the divine cloud castle.

this is what games do to people, kids. if u wanna play, consider what im thinking...

  • realy like this

  • wtb in-game jukebox, kthx blizz

  • @liligman

There is one. There is an addon that you can use to listen to any music of the game anywhere.

  • the rich harmonies and minor scales meld so well is this song. Such a thing of beauty!

the choir in the background gives this song incredible force behind it; listen to this on headphones or a big speaker system and be blown away by its majestic sound :D

  • how can u dislike at all?! too badass to hate in the least

  • the one who disliked this would not Thrust the speak of Holdir properly

  • from 4:09... just amazing

  • The one who disliked has broken speakers...

  • It still feels like it was just yesterday that I was waiting for raid time outside Ulduar, and just listening to this music. :S

  • Beautiful

  • it's nice, but it's a huge rip off of lord of the rings music, just like how all of northrend is pretty much a direct copy. i know a track that sounds just like this one in lotr haha

  • @raedenjay

Listened through all of the LotR tracks just now, didn't see anything similair.

And how is Northrend a direct copy?

  • @gamessp you listened to every single track and you're oblivious to it? let me help you out a bit.

in the storm peaks track right here. go to around 1:53 and then on youtube find "gandalf falls the bridge of khazad dum" I think it's like 42 seconds in that or 47 seconds or something, i don't remember exactly, but i had them lined up perfetly that you can play them both at the same time and they would fit together really well. they have the same background sweeping motion and well, you'll see ha

  • @gamessp architecture as well. compare the wrath gate to the black gate of mordor and compare any of the icecrown buildings to mordor buildings, you will see the exact architecture designs. not sure how you missed that one. Not only that but there are also many similarities in cinematic and such, but those are smaller details

  • @raedenjay when has wow brought up something original, this is what they do

  • @latsabb99 so true haha

  • Of all the WoW music, I love this one the most. Everytime I flew across the SP I always paused and looked at the landscape when 1m50s started.. chills.. from a videogame.. just imagine if you were on top of Everest with this tune in the background.. Valhalla..
