I dont think any real Zelda fan will have a gripe with graphics, because that's not what its about (Such as the case with windwaker.) What makes a Zelda game great is its awesome music and story with very addictive fishing(opinion).

@nomakym because this game will actually have you swinging you arm around to use the sword and since alot of us are right handed, changes had to be made. They'll probably program him to be left handed for left handed players though.
To me, this game seems great. Even though the graphics are Wind Waker-ish. But this game seems so, what can I say, shallow? In Twilight Princess, you got to meet people, got to know their personality and their background, there were sidequests and Twilight Princess also got a deeper and darker side than just going around beating monsters. And in Majora's Mask, oh, how I miss the mystics and the deep and the scary side it had. Skyward Sword seems to happy and "oh, what fun to beat monsters! :D".
I don't care about graphics. I want Nintendo to put all of their effort into the puzzles, music, and storyline because personally I'd rather have a deep, thought-provoking, 40 hour game that looks like it belongs on the N64 than some 8 hour crapfest that looks realistic.
Somehow this looks disappointing...a remote controlled bug...OoT Link had items you would expect from a medieval like adventurer, bombs, boomerang, heavy hammer, sword, bow...most odd items he used were the lens of truth and bombchus...althou the lens just adds into the lore...didn't like TP's statue controlling stick, or WW talking boat (I understand a talking owl better then a wooden boat)

@SerenityIsTheMan - You miss old days that didnt exist. Any sequel since the dawn of video games has always been criticized in comparison to the game(s) that came before it, especially in the graphics dept.
@rafter19931993 actually i have to agree with you. but GBA and Gamecube are in the middle, sweet graphics, good controls, tons of original gameplay (though the n64 had more origanlity to it|). PERSONALLY GBA and Gamecube are my favourite, but if you like n64, snes or even the classic nes then thats fine with me :)

not that i didnt like WSR but i dont think this should be used for zelda. Its not right. tp used it right by using not everything but only bow sword boomerang and some other items and that worked! But i would love to see it to stay a bit like that. I think it will slow down the battles and the entire game. to wait for every enemy to show theire weak point.
i hope it wont be zelda sports resort. Because the gameplay in zelda should be more about puzzle solving and action than waiting for you opponent to put his weapon so that you can hit him. the grapichs are btw amazing and i love em. just like ww and tp they are trying something different.
Honestly, they shouldnt've gone back to cel-shaded animation. It just makes the game look childish. They shouldve gone with the style that Twilight Princess used.

Only thing that bugs me about this, are the controls. I could honestly care less about the graphics.. But they should have at least ported the controls over so you could play on a gamecube controller..

Theres either more or the same amount of hardcore stuff as casual gamer stuff. eg. virtual console, metroid, there alreasy is zelda on wii on vc, tp port, links crossbow training, etc. Wii's got great games. This looks like a mixture of OOT, MM, WW, and TP. There's a big chance it is, cause at the very beginning of the video, it shows Link riding Epona (representing OOT), Majora's Mask (representing MM), Link in his ship (representing WW), and Link in Wolf form (TP). Please don't flunk this game, Nintendo!
I see they're bringing back Gohma again. Crab-thing (OOT), lava-dwelling centipede (WW), giant spider (TP), and now scorpion. Always love the classic bosses.

Wow the animation looks horrible. The sword doesn't look natural but all of a sudden it just isn't in the sheaf anymore. BUT I bet the game is a ton of fun.
@sheiksevensage I think it looks more Twilight Princess-y than Wind Waker because: 1, it's adult Link, 2, the textures are different from Wind Waker, 3, it looks more realistic than Wind Waker. It does, however, look extremely, er, happy.

You see the mask), Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. =3 The first time I saw this I was thinking: "Are they connecting these games together!? :o" I don't know that is what I thought at first, but you know. The only reason I still have my wii is because I love these kinds of games, but there aren't that many being created :(

@keithtreason The graphics aren't a step back they're just....unexpected. I didn't expect it either but I can live. Also who cares if the wii doesn't play DVD's? It's marketed as a gaming console; so you can't expect that from it. Like Iwata said, "better technology is good, but technology is not enough."

not that i didnt like WSR but i dont think this should be used for zelda. Its not right. tp used it right by using not everything but only bow sword boomerang and some other items and that worked! But i would love to see it to stay a bit like that. I think it will slow down the battles and the entire game. to wait for every enemy to show theire weak point.

i hope it wont be zelda sports resort. Because the gameplay in zelda should be more about puzzle solving and action than waiting for you opponent to put his weapon so that you can hit him. the grapichs are btw amazing and i love em. just like ww and tp they are trying something different.

Only thing that bugs me about this, are the controls. I could honestly care less about the graphics.. But they should have at least ported the controls over so you could play on a gamecube controller..

@HyperTheProfessor They have controllers and adapters for the wii so you can play it more or less on a gamecube controller, these things just arent that easy to find. Nintendo never thought disabled people liked zelda or what (or lazy people lol)?

@HyperTheProfessor This isn't like TP where they just map a few buttons to motion control. This is like, fully integrated into the wiimote, nunchuck and motionplus. Porting the controls wouldn't work. How exactly would you make precise directional swings with the GC controller, for example?
Just deal with it and accept you'll have to move your arms a bit. I've played Wii Sports Resort, and I found it a lot of fun.

I do not see how you playing Wii sports resort has anything to do with my enjoyment of using the Wii controls. If you enjoy it so much why do you care that another person doesn't? I've played Legend of Zelda games with a joystick and buttons. That is what I am used to. Lols at trying to sound intelligent though.

I'm just saying. I liked WSR swordplay a lot. I dunno if you've played it, but maybe you would too. And I'm not some kind of motion controls lover like you seem to think. I generally prefer traditional controls too. But come on. Wii + Master Sword is a match made in heaven.
Better than getting the same goddamn game we always get.

Theres either more or the same amount of hardcore stuff as casual gamer stuff. eg. virtual console, metroid, there alreasy is zelda on wii on vc, tp port, links crossbow training, etc. Wii's got great games. It's not that childish. Where else would links next big adventure be, ps3? Nintendo would sue their asses, and the game would be horrid (it's not aonuma and the team making it).

This looks like a mixture of OOT, MM, WW, and TP. There's a big chance it is, cause at the very beginning of the video, it shows Link riding Epona (representing OOT), Majora's Mask (representing MM), Link in his ship (representing WW), and Link in Wolf form (TP). Please don't flunk this game, Nintendo!

@Appleisthebest12345 Dude it doesn't matter about the graphics... It's the gameplay that matters. Like Ocarina of Time, it didn't have really good graphics. But the story is epic, awesome. Lots of twists and stuff. So what I heard about this game is that this Link shares his time in another world. And he now has the Master Sword.... so this game is pretty interesting if you think about it.

It is; it's the backstory of the Master Sword (Skyward Sword) and since it actually exsisted in OoT; Skyward Sword has to be a prequel.

I think everyone was expecting Twilight Princess Graphics. Not many were expecting these type of graphics unless it was Wind Waker Link again.

@sheiksevensage I think it looks more Twilight Princess-y than Wind Waker because: 1, it's adult Link, 2, the textures are different from Wind Waker, 3, it looks more realistic than Wind Waker. It does, however, look extremely, er, happy.

In other words, Its Twilight princess Link fused with wind waker graphics. They just touched it up a little, Put more details.

Oh my god, in the beginning you see Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask (haha! You see the mask), Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. =3 The first time I saw this I was thinking: "Are they connecting these games together!? :o" I don't know that is what I thought at first, but you know. You never know until Nintendo says or until you play the game. ^_^ I would love it if they did connect those games..AND BRING THE GERUDOS BACK! D: I miss them....
