@MusicIsGirl ...Jon is still kicking it man..he is comfortable with himself and his voice is as strong as ever...who cares ...he is still here kickin ass....you haven't walked in his shoes...
@halford3256 First of all, I said nothing bad about him also he can't perform his old songs like he use to and he even says that it is because of his weight, which is damaging his health and other health problems.
Also, he is going to die if he doesn't loose the weight. And, its not like you have walked in his shoes either so your not totally sure what you are saying. I understand you mean well, but I'm just saying...
@MusicIsGirl ..."Also, he is going to die if he doesn't loose the weight" We are all gonna die Show me where he says he cant sing his old songs...Look at youtube vids of him singing his old songs....hahahaha
@halford3256 Okay, it seems that you do not care about him one bit. If you actually ASKED him in person like I have, then you might understand. He can still sing but you see when you gain weight it strains your vocal cords, also due to his smoking and drinking. Jon Oliva is awesome but I'm saying I wish he would loose the weight, which you should support me in if you actually cared instead of being a person who has no proof.
@MusicIsGirl ..I absolutely Care..I am a vocalist.and Jon cannot be on his feet as a frontman. The weight is too much and a strain..I get it. I'm tired of hearing people bang em due to his "weight".Enjoy him as he is..The man can still sing the telephone book if he wanted too...The vocal troubles he had in the past werent all due to his weight. He had an identity crisis..Hows Pavoratti sing being a hefty individual..Jons voice is one of the most versatile in the metal industry. he still has it
I have seen Savatage twice with Jon and Criss (Gutter Ballet and Hall of the Mountain King tour) freaking blew my mind so much we left without seeing the headline bands (Dio and Megadeth)
@halford3256 LOL I saw so many concerts in the 80s and 90s that I actually went to see headline bands more than the main acts. Here are main acts we walked out on: Dio, Megadeth, Ozzy, David Lee Roth, Motorhead, VanHagar (at monsters of Rock), etc
We left because we wanted to beat traffic.
I have seen all those bands numerous times so it was nothing new. When you see roughly 25-50 shows a year you tend to only find interest in the bands you set out to see.
@halford3256 LOL, well I actually went to see DLR because Steve Vai was his guitarist, we waited for his solo them walked out. DLR was acting more like a gymnist than a singer.
I did get the good fortune of seeing them when the opened for Ronnie James DIO. :)
