For 10 years at NC State, Herb NEVER did anything like that. Maybe if he did it a little more, poeple wouldnt have been so hard on him. He just never yelled, and seemed to just take whatever the refs gave him, unlike K and Roy.
Ha! who gives a crap about yelling and screaming? It doesn't help win games. He took us to 5 straight NCAA appearances for the first time in 11 years and now we will miss 2 straight. State fans are too hung up in the past to understand how good a coach he is. Lowe is a great coach too and hopefully we will do better next year but people seriously underestimated how good Sendek was. The magic is back in Raleigh? hahahaha! dream on! Class of 2000!
Herb finally realized that he had to go out and actually relate to the fan base and show some fire and emotion. IF he had done that at NC State, he would most likely still be here. The Wolfpack nation as well as the rest of the ACC has always had fiery coaches who would do things LIKE YOU JUST SAW. I personally wish Herb all the best and great success at ASU (unless they play NC STATE) :)

herb just didn't understand the passion involved in the acc, especially in north carolina. his record against the "Big Four" rivals took the hit because of it. looks like the magic is back in raleigh. good luck to herb out west though...i know it was a rough year.
I think Sendek learned his lesson at State. If he doesn't put his emotion at ASU, he might reach the same problem that put him in fan trouble in the first place.
Sendek SHOWED some personality at State. Problem is, by the time he did, most people had already started hating him. *shrugs* I liked the guy, but maybe it's all for the best for all involved.

Let's all get something straight. Herb Sendek is a great coach who will never win a championship. NC State basketball sucks, and ASU is worse.

Herb can't win in the NCAAT; that's his big problem. At ASU that probably doesn't matter. At NCSU it does.
