Didn't the Plus 4 come with office tools in its ROM?
The trouble with the Plus 4, C16 and even the C128 was that they just weren't good enough to persuade the computing public that they were substantially better or more convenient than the C64. All machines flopped in comparison.
The Amiga was the quantum leap, expensive but what punters expected from the new breeds.
if anyone is interested i have some old c 16 stuff in my loft some old games and cassette player!i have no idea if they work as i no longer have the console!
nice tune. Does the c16 do anything distinct as a computer graphically or audio wise to make it different from other home computers ? This could be any number of computers doing this.
Namco must have been feeling generous not to sue ... Why, I wonder, did every Pacman clone for the C16 have the appalling habit of resetting the levels after death? And on the whole, I think I preferred power pellets to those lightning bolts. However, I did like the surreal level designs (does any monastery actually have walls made out of skulls or eyes?) and the exploration aspect of the game that actually led to a proper ending.
ah man, this brought back allot of memories! I've been looking for anywhere online where you can play the old C16+4 games, like an emmulator or something, anyone know if thats possible?
Love the music to this game =) C16+4 was my first ever computer, it came with:
Icicle Works? Fire Ant?, We had a game for the plus4 called Ace, which took 30mins to load, you could make and eat your dinner while waiting for that beast to rise-it usually crashed around 29m tho
Man i won tis game bac in 1992. tat was a good day man i rmembr it i was jmpin up n daan screemin yes yes i beet it. a had game i tel you i had to stay up bat 100 hours freebasd 10g coke! to git it. my head was raat up aginst t screen hole time those bad gosts man somtims i stil think bat them thr evl eis fil lik thr watchin me. but i won it endd it no moor bad no moor bad no moor bad

I completed this when I was about 11.
We only had a black and white TV so you couldn't see when some of the walls changed colour which is what you had to do to complete each stage.
I therefore had to remember which routes I'd been down.

WTF? Where's Linda Blair? LOL
Looks like a Pepper II or Amidar type of game.

For shame, you were lucky enough to get all that way throughout the maze without ever having to complete a four-ghost room.
prontford 3 years ago
you know this looks familiar...a maze...coming out of the center of are ghosts...chasing a yellow circular character...hmm
